3 Reasons why Jacob Fatu must retain the US Title at WWE Backlash
Jacob Fatu should retain. Image-WWE.com
1. Fatu deserves a long run with the Title
2. None of the other three competitors have momentum
3. Solo Sikoa should take the title away from Fatu
The 'Samoan Werewolf' Jacob Fatu won his first singles Championship in WWE when he defeated LA Knight for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 41 . While the burly Samoan is on cloud nine, after his first successful WrestleMania, he is set to defend his Title against not just against LA Knight but also Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre along with him at the WWE Backlash PLE .Now the fatal four-way match for the US Title is one of the talking points among fans, for that 20th edition of Backlash. Here is why we think Jacob Fatu should retain his US Title at BacklashAs openly stated by many WWE stalwarts, Fatu has taken away the limelight from his brother and former 'Enforcer' of the Bloodline Solo Sikoa. It was Solo who was going to be the next big thing from the Bloodline before Jacob overtook him. And that has not just happened coincidently, but it was Fatu's explosive athleticism and beast-like abilities in the ring that has caught everyone's attention ever since his emergence in WWE in 2024. Now he deserves a long run with the US Championship and cutting it short within a month of winning it will not just break his momentum as a single's star but also derail the start of a promising WWE career. The other three competitors in the fatal four-way match(Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre and LA Knight) do not have the kind of momentum that Fatu has. The first one the Tag Team Championship and then has done enough to solidify a place in the roster as a solid singles star. Also the fans are on his side more than Solo, which is a testament to the fact that Fatu indeed deserves a longish run with the US Title. LA Knight has just had a good run with the Title, while Priest and McIntyre have had their fair share of opportunities and can afford to wait for their limelight. In the past two months, the WWE has constantly insinuated a rivalry between Sikoa and Jacob, which has kept the audience and fans excited. Two burly Samoans fighting for the United States Championship would be very spicy and worthy of a main event in a PLE like SummerSlam. Therefore, it would only be apt if Jacob only loses his US Title to Solo(if he has to lose it at all).
