3 Reasons why Jacob Fatu must retain the US Title at WWE Backlash

Jacob Fatu should retain. 1. Fatu deserves a long run with the Title 2. None of the other three competitors have momentum 3. Solo Sikoa should take the title away from Fatu The 'Samoan Werewolf' Jacob Fatu won his first singles Championship in WWE when he defeated LA Knight for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 41 . While the burly Samoan is on cloud nine, after his first successful WrestleMania, he is set to defend his Title against not just against LA Knight but also Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre along with him at the WWE Backlash PLE .Now the fatal four-way match for the US Title is one of the talking points among fans, for that 20th edition of is why we think Jacob Fatu should retain his US Title at BacklashAs openly stated by many WWE stalwarts, Fatu has taken away the limelight from his brother and former 'Enforcer' of the Bloodline Solo Sikoa. It was Solo who was going to be the next big thing from the Bloodline before Jacob overtook him. And that has not just happened coincidently, but it was Fatu's explosive athleticism and beast-like abilities in the ring that has caught everyone's attention ever since his emergence in WWE in 2024. Now he deserves a long run with the US Championship and cutting it short within a month of winning it will not just break his momentum as a single's star but also derail the start of a promising WWE other three competitors in the fatal four-way match(Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre and LA Knight) do not have the kind of momentum that Fatu has. The first one the Tag Team Championship and then has done enough to solidify a place in the roster as a solid singles star. Also the fans are on his side more than Solo, which is a testament to the fact that Fatu indeed deserves a longish run with the US Title. LA Knight has just had a good run with the Title, while Priest and McIntyre have had their fair share of opportunities and can afford to wait for their the past two months, the WWE has constantly insinuated a rivalry between Sikoa and Jacob, which has kept the audience and fans excited. Two burly Samoans fighting for the United States Championship would be very spicy and worthy of a main event in a PLE like SummerSlam. Therefore, it would only be apt if Jacob only loses his US Title to Solo(if he has to lose it at all).

From Jail to US Champion: Jacob Fatu talks about his wrestling journey

Jacob Fatu won his first Title. Fatu talks about his journey High praise for Roman and Solo The 'Samoan Werewolf' Jacob Fatu captured his first WWE singles title after he defeated LA Knight for the United States Title at WrestleMania 41 . Although being a veteran of the business for over 13 years, it was the debut for Jacob at the grandest stage of WWE(WrestleMania). Talking about the same in an interview, Fatu has shed light on his journey to the US Championship win in WWE and much interacting in the 'Club 50 Podcast', the new 'Enforcer' of the Bloodline shared anecdotes about his journey to his first singles title in the biggest wrestling promotion of the world. He said that he never expected that he would be a successful WWE superstar in his life, especially when he was jailed due to a crime. At one point of time, no one even wanted his autograph, and he was only signing his bail papers, said Fatu. "I could have never expected this ... I remember looking out a jail cell window man, to looking out of an airplane man, you know just on the way. But it was very special, definitely having my son over here Johnny Fatu, and definitely for my parents to pull up." Fatu said. "I remember nobody wanted my autograph bro. The only thing I was signing bro is when I used to sign my papers bro when I was getting out of jail ... it really just feels good to see my parents happy." Continued new United States Champion was full of praise for Roman Reigns and his importance in the main event of wrestlemania 41. He thought that his Samoan family had completed a full circle in Las Vegas as former WWE Champion Yokozuna(another Samoan wrestler) had Main evented WrestleMania 9 against Bret Hart before that, at Las Vegas. Talking about his first Wrestlemania as a singles star, Fatu appreciated his brother Solo Sikoa for the support stating 'It was very nerve-wracking, but man it's just like I said bro, just preparing for it. It's more of a mindset. My brother Solo told me 'It's okay man, just to step away from everything real quick, you feel me? Get your heads in the right space'. I did that and it still don't work.'After his first monumental singles win at WrestleMania 41, Fatu is all set to defend his United States Championship against the likes of Damian priest, Drew McIntyre and former champion LA Knight in a fatal four-way match at Backlash. This would not just be his first Title defence but also a cornerstone of sorts, if the Bloodline member manages to defend his Championship at St Louis, Missouri. Jacob Fatu's 1st WrestleMania match yields United States Championship

LAS VEGAS – Jacob Fatu proved Saturday night in the first WrestleMania match of his career that he is an unstoppable force and there are no forces that could even come close to stopping him. Fatu carried LA Knight to the top rope and hit a huge Samoan drop before he completed two moonsaults and pinned Knight to become the new United States champion. Fatu arrived to the squared circle with Solo Sikoa firmly in his corner. Fatu removed a werewolf mask and sauntered down to the ring. Knight entered the stadium in style – pulling up in a Maserati before his music hit. Knight tried to outmatch Fatu, who pulled off incredible move after incredible move. It appeared Fatu was in the driver's seat and was going for a moonsault early in the match. Knight hit his own finishing maneuver, the BFT, seemingly out of nowhere. Was Knight going to pull out the win? Almost as Fatu kicked out as the ref's hand was coming down for the three count. Fatu regained control of the match and was able to add some gold around his waist. The "Samoan Werewolf" pulled up onto the WWE scene in June as Sikoa took over the Bloodline faction. He became the fierce enforcer behind Sikoa as they began to become the thorn in the side of the rest of the SmackDown roster. But Fatu was thrust into the chase for the United States Championship. He topped Braun Strowman to get the shot at Knight's title, in which he claimed from Shinsuke Nakamura. It's Fatu's first singles title since he joined WWE. His win marked the third title change of the first night of WrestleMania 41. Follow Fox News Digital's sports coverage on X and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.
