Iran names top adviser Larijani as new Security Council head
dpa Tehran Ali Larijani, the conservative adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been appointed secretary general of the country's powerful Security Council, Tehran announced on Tuesday.
