The Chicago Cubs are one of the best teams in baseball, and it's largely due to how aggressive their front office was in the offseason. Rather than sit on their hands, the Cubs went out and swung the trade of the offseason to land Kyle Tucker.
The Cubs have dominated in the first half of the season and placed themselves atop the National League Central. With a few weeks to go before the trade deadline, many expect the Cubs to remain as aggressive as ever on the trade market.
If this is the case, it should be expected that the Cubs will cut ties with one or two of their top prospects in order to secure whichever trades the front office is eyeing.
USA Today's Bob Nightengale recently suggested Cubs top outfield prospect Owen Caissie is expected to be one of the better prospects traded at the deadline.

Caissie has superstar potential written all over him. The 23-year-old has an OPS of nearly 1.000 in 73 Triple-A games this season. If the Cubs weren't loaded with talent in their outfield, there's a good chance Caissie would be in the big leagues by now.
Even then, if he's not traded at the deadline, Caissie will almost certainly make his big league debut in the coming months.
But the Cubs could also use him as a trade chip in a monster deal. If Chicago is going to land a starting pitcher like Sandy Alcántara, the front office is going to have to include a star prospect like Caissie.
