Pap Shares Story Behind Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif's First 'Spotted' Pic: 'They Were Trying To…'
Last Updated:
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal's first viral photo as a couple was captured at Amritpal Singh Bindra's Diwali bash, reveals paparazzo Manav Manglani.
Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif may not have shared screen space, but their off-screen bond has made them one of Bollywood's most loved couples. The pair managed to keep their relationship under wraps for a long time — until one unexpected evening changed that.
Celebrity photographer Manav Manglani recently opened up about the very first time the couple was seen together in public, marking a significant moment in their journey. Speaking in a chat with Vishal Malhotra, Manav recalled how his team captured the now-iconic moment during a star-studded Diwali celebration hosted by producer Amritpal Singh Bindra.
Sharing the details, he said, 'My team took the first picture of Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif together, getting out of Amritpal Singh's Diwali party. She was wearing a red dress, while he was in a beige kurta-pyjama. As they were trying to figure out where their cars were, my team spotted them. It was only after they saw the cameras that they realised they had already been snapped; and that's when it hit them, they had been seen together publicly for the first time. That photo went viral, and how."

At the time, there had been speculation about the two being more than just friends. Still, the couple had made no official appearances together. That one moment — as casual and unplanned as it was — became the first visual confirmation of their relationship for fans and the media alike.
The photo, according to Manav, became an instant internet sensation and went viral, fuelling the romance rumours that would eventually be confirmed when the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony.
Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif Wedding
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal's wedding, held in December 2021, was a spectacular blend of tradition, elegance, and privacy. The couple tied the knot at the majestic Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan, a 14th-century fort-turned-luxury resort that served as the perfect royal backdrop. Katrina wore a stunning red Sabyasachi lehenga, while Vicky complemented her in an ivory silk sherwani. Their pre-wedding festivities included a Mehendi ceremony and a grand Sangeet. The couple began their celebrations with a small ceremony in Mumbai before hosting close friends and family in Rajasthan.

RCB players dancing as they enter the team hotel after IPL title triumph. New Delhi: Following their Indian Premier League victory after an 18-year wait, Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar and all-rounder Krunal Pandya celebrated with teammates at their Ahmedabad hotel, enjoying a lively welcome that included traditional dhol drumming. Upon arriving at the hotel, Kohli and Mo Bobat, the latter carrying the championship trophy, were greeted by Pandya, who began performing some Garba dance moves. Usually reserved, Patidar celebrated enthusiastically with teammate Jitesh Sharma. Even veteran player-turned-coach Dinesh Karthik joined in the festivities. Suyash Sharma, Swastik Chikara, and Yash Dayal showcased their skills, while Phil Salt and Tim David recorded the event on their phones. The clip is available on social media. Entry but make it BOLD. ❤️🔥 — Royal Challengers Bengaluru (@RCBTweets) June 4, 2025 RCB's supporters enthusiastically received the team following their arrival at the hotel. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) The Royal Challengers Bangalore achieved their first Indian Premier League championship by beating the Punjab Kings by six runs in Ahmedabad. For Kohli and his crew, it put an end to a long run without a victory. RCB's win against PBKS was a hard-fought contest, displaying their grit and determination to secure victory at any cost. The support of their home fans did not translate into better batting, so Bengaluru ended up with 190 runs on the scoreboard. Kohli achieved 43 runs in his innings of 35 balls. Bengaluru's initial score seemed insufficient, but their bowlers' consistent pressure ultimately secured victory. Bengaluru secured victory against Punjab when Josh Hazlewood bowled two consecutive dot balls, leaving Punjab needing 29 runs from the final over. Despite a late, impressive 61 not out from Shashank Singh (30 balls, including three fours and six sixes), Punjab's innings closed at 184 for 7 wickets.

Fact Check: Did BTS' Jungkook, Cha Eun Woo and SEVENTEEN's Mingyu, Jeonghan dine together recently?
The sight of K-pop idol autographs on restaurant walls is nothing new in South Korea. However, a recent update from a popular BBQ eatery has caused a flurry of online speculation. Apgujeong Matzip, a restaurant located in Seoul, recently gained attention after a content creator uploaded a video. It showed signed autographs from some of the biggest names in K-pop: BTS' Jungkook, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, and SEVENTEEN members Mingyu and Jeonghan. Given the popularity of these artists, the video spread quickly across social media. It prompted enthusiastic chatter among fans who began speculating whether all four idols had visited the restaurant together. Did the 97 liners hang out together? The excitement was particularly fueled by the well-known friendship between Jungkook, Cha Eun Woo, and Mingyu. As members of the '97 liners' friendship circle (a group of male idols born in 1997) the trio's public interactions have always delighted fans. The addition of Jeonghan's autograph sparked curiosity, as his name isn't typically associated with the core 97-liner group. Social media erupted with posts celebrating the possibility of a rare get-together. Fans express joy over their potential bonding time. But the timeline tells a different story Despite the excitement, not everyone was convinced. Eagle-eyed fans pointed out that the restaurant had posted images of the idols' autographs on different dates. This suggests the signatures may not have come from a single visit. A closer look at Apgujeong Matzip's Instagram page confirmed that the posts showcasing each autograph were shared separately over time. This casts doubt on the theory of a joint dinner. This discrepancy led some fans to reconsider the possibility of a group outing. Many acknowledge that while the signatures were real, the idols likely dined there individually on different occasions. Military schedules further complicate the theory Adding to the skepticism are the military enlistment timelines of two of the four idols in question. Both BTS' Jungkook and SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan are currently serving their mandatory military duties. This makes it nearly impossible for them to have attended a public gathering like this in recent weeks. Jungkook enlisted on December 12, 2023, alongside fellow BTS member Jimin. He is expected to complete his service by June 11, 2025. Meanwhile, Jeonghan began his military service on September 26, 2024. He is currently fulfilling his duties through an alternative service route. Unlike Jungkook and Jeonghan, Cha Eun Woo and Mingyu have yet to enlist. On May 29, 2025, Fantagio Entertainment confirmed that Cha Eun Woo would be joining the military on July 28, 2025. As for SEVENTEEN's Mingyu, PLEDIS Entertainment has not released any official statements regarding his enlistment plans. Given these overlapping military commitments, the likelihood of Jungkook and Jeonghan being present at the restaurant together, or with the other two idols, seems slim.
