Atalanta Consider Fining Lookman

Rana Atef Once again the tensions between Serie A side Atalanta and Nigerian star Ademola Lookman witnessed more tensions after the player reportedly took personal leave and left Italy without the club's permission. The move of Lookman showed another protest of the management's refusal to approve his transfer to Inter Milan during the current summer window, according to Football Italia. Atalanta consider taking legal action against Lookman, including the imposition of a substantial fine. The roots of the dispute date back to last summer when the club rejected a €20 million offer from Paris Saint-Germain and convinced the player to stay—with a promise to facilitate his transfer this summer under two conditions he personally set: a move to a major European club and not to another Italian side. However, the club's refusal of Inter's offer has reignited the conflict. Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi emphasized that the club alone will determine the timing and valuation of any player sale. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results

Demotion to Conference League would punish 'innocent' Palace: Coach Glasner - World

Oliver Glasner believes that if Crystal Palace are demoted to the Conference League it would feel "like we are punished, but being innocent". London club Palace qualified for the Europa League, by winning last season's English FA Cup. But the Eagles fell foul of UEFA rules governing multi-club ownership. European football's governing body determined that as of March 1, American businessman John Textor had control or influence at Palace and French club Lyon. Under UEFA rules Palace are unable to compete in the same European competition and Lyon held on to the Europa League spot by virtue of their higher league position. Palace, however, appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, with club chairman Steve Parish appearing at a hearing on Friday and a verdict expected Monday. As Parish was speaking in Lausanne, Eagles manager Glasner was addressing reporters in London ahead of Sunday's Community Shield, the traditional curtain-raiser to the English season, between the reigning Premier League champions, Liverpool, and FA Cup-holders, Palace, at Wembley. "If you get punished when you feel innocent it's tough," said Glasner. "And it feels like this. If we play Conference League it feels like we are punished, but being innocent. On the other side, if we had ended the season on position seven and go straight into the Conference League, we all would have celebrated. "So, these are the two feelings we have. But again, if you haven't done something wrong and you feel punished, you never feel good. So, I think it's all of us, it's the same, and this is how we feel, or how we felt about the UEFA decision." Textor sold his stake in Palace to New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, a deal completed in late July. Glasner is adamant the row over which European competition Palace should play in has not distracted the team ahead of their Wembley showdown with Liverpool. "No, not at all," said the Austrian. "The first meeting we had after, when we met, it was just mentioned once. One slogan for us is 'we want to focus on the things we can influence', and so we can't influence the decision of UEFA, we have no influence on the decision of CAS. "So, it just makes no sense, and the players really did very well the whole pre-season and training, worked very hard. We said, OK, on the 11th of August we will get the final verdict, and we will accept it, so it's the only thing we can do." Egypt's Agricultural Exports Reach New Record, Surpassing 6.5 Million Tons

Taarek Refaat Egypt's agricultural exports have reached a new record high, with total shipments now exceeding 6.5 million tons, marking an increase of over 600,000 tons, year-on-year. This achievement, announced by Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk, highlights the continuous growth of Egypt's agricultural export sector and further confirms the high quality of its agricultural products. According to an official report from Mohamed El-Mansy, Head of the Central Administration for Agricultural Quarantine, Egypt's top agricultural export was citrus fruits, totaling more than 1.9 million tons. Fresh potatoes followed closely with over 1.3 million tons, while fresh onions ranked third, with approximately 240,000 tons exported. Beans (both fresh and dried) secured the fourth spot, with over 202,000 tons exported, and grapes rounded out the top five with around 170,000 tons. Other key agricultural exports highlighted in the report include sweet potatoes, fresh tomatoes, garlic, strawberries, mangoes, guavas, and pomegranates, all contributing to the growth of Egypt's agricultural export profile. Minister Farouk praised the remarkable success, emphasizing that these figures reflect Egypt's efforts to boost the global competitiveness of its agricultural exports. The increase in exports demonstrates international confidence in the quality of Egyptian products, he said, reaffirming Egypt's commitment to maintaining high standards and expanding its global market presence. He attributed this growth to the collaborative efforts of multiple stakeholders, including farmers, producers, exporters, and agricultural researchers. He also acknowledged the vital role of the Agricultural Quarantine Authority and the Ministry's reference laboratories in ensuring the quality and safety of Egyptian agricultural products. The Ministry's ongoing efforts to open new markets and expand export opportunities were also noted as key factors in this success. read more CBE: Deposits in Local Currency Hit EGP 5.25 Trillion Morocco Plans to Spend $1 Billion to Mitigate Drought Effect Gov't Approves Final Version of State Ownership Policy Document Egypt's Economy Expected to Grow 5% by the end of 2022/23- Minister Qatar Agrees to Supply Germany with LNG for 15 Years Business Oil Prices Descend amid Anticipation of Additional US Strategic Petroleum Reserves Business Suez Canal Records $704 Million, Historically Highest Monthly Revenue Business Egypt's Stock Exchange Earns EGP 4.9 Billion on Tuesday Business Wheat delivery season commences on April 15 News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results
