A massive new EDM festival is hitting Randall's Island this fall
Summit, fresh off selling out Madison Square Garden in under two hours (casual), will headline twice over the weekend. But he's not coming alone. The lineup is a who's-who of house and techno royalty: think Kaskade B2B Cassian, Green Velvet B2B Layton Giordani, LP Giobbi, AYYBO, Pete Tong, DJ Seinfeld and many more, with more names still to be announced.
The festival—produced by John Summit's Experts Only label in partnership with Medium Rare, Relentless Beats and EMW—will span two stages and feature more than 15 acts, bringing top-tier sound design, next-level visuals and a Gen Z-approved energy to the green expanse of Randall's Island. (Yes, the same stomping grounds that once hosted Electric Zoo and Governors Ball.)
This isn't just another rave-in-the-park, though. The team is also pulling out all the stops with immersive stage builds, interactive brand activations and a curated LIV Skydeck VIP experience straight from the Fontainebleau clubs in Miami and Vegas—complete with bottle service and skyline views.
Tickets start at $119.99 (no fees!), with VIP and Platinum options topping out at $799.99. Pre-registration is open now, with pre-sale kicking off Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m. EST. A portion of ticket sales will benefit FEMME HOUSE, a nonprofit championing inclusivity in dance music, co-founded by LP Giobbi.

This is officially the best city for Gen Z in America
You're young (under 30), you're thinking about changing jobs and moving somewhere for a fresh start—but where is that? Where will you find people who like the same things you do (going out for the evening, catching culture, dining like kings and queens, quaffing that ridiculously intense cocktail), in a city that's fun, safe and rewards healthy things, too, like parks and nature? Helpfully, Time Out has come out with its inaugural list of the Best Cities for Gen Z, a global ranking created by Gen Z, for Gen Z. It results from Time Out's Best Cities survey, but we kicked out all the responses from anyone older than 30 (we're not resentful at all), to create a spiffy look at where you should live. And on this list of 20 international cities, two hail from our very own United States—but first, let's look at which locale claimed the top spot this year. That would be Bangkok: Of the respondents who already live in Thailand's capital, 84-percent of Gen Z say that they're happy there. It's also an affordable city and has an incredible street life—including bars and dance clubs and street food to fawn over—plus colorful and sacred temples and statues, floating markets in the canals, and a safe and welcoming vibe. Next up are two fellow international destinations, Melbourne, Australia and Cape Town, South Africa, which take the No. 2 and No. 3 spot, respectively. And in fourth place, we hit the first U.S. city on the list: New York City. A foodie haven for those with abundance and not, this sprawling city of 8.4 million is great for Gen Z with spectacular nightlife (84-percent applaud it) and walkability (82-percent). Respondents called it the most 'exciting' city on the list. And, of course, it's got fabulous hotels and culture, too. We'll race past the other non-American cities on the list (you can see those below) to get to No. 17, the other U.S city embraced by Generation Zed: Chicago. Also known to satisfy eating and drinking lust (hello, deep dish pizza), Chicago offers affordable nightclubs, scenic boat rides, world-class museums and gorgeous greenspaces. And its zoo is free! Takeaway from the list: no country has more than two cities on the lineup, with Thailand, Australia, Spain, China, the United Kingdom and the United States also getting double entries this year. But there's one omission we feel deeply: where's San Francisco?! The top 20 best cities for Gen Z, according to Time Out: 1. Bangkok, Thailand 2. Melbourne, Australia 3. Cape Town, South Africa 4. New York City, United States 5. Copenhagen, Denmark 6. Barcelona, Spain 7. Edinburgh, United Kingdom 8. Mexico City, Mexico 9. London, United Kingdom 10. Shanghai, China 11. Sydney, Australia 12. Beijing, China 13. Paris, France 14. Tokyo, Japan 15. Berlin, Germany 16. Seville, Spain 17. Chicago, United States 18. Chiang Mai, Thailand 19. Prague, Czech Republic 20. Lisbon, Portugal

Bangkok named the world's best city for Gen Z in 2025
The Thai capital has topped Time Out's first-ever global ranking of the best cities for the next generation, thanks to its unbeatable combination of happiness, affordability and community. Forget everything you thought you knew about the world's greatest cities. For the first time ever, Time Out has handed the mic to the under-30s, creating a definitive global ranking of the Best Cities for Gen Z, by Gen Z. Using the same extensive data from our annual Best Cities survey but filtering for the generation that's rewriting the rules, we've uncovered the urban hubs where young people aren't just surviving – they're thriving. And taking the coveted top spot for 2025? The vibrant, chaotic, and utterly captivating city of Bangkok, Thailand. This win signals a significant shift in what a generation values in a city. While previous generations may have prioritised career-centric stability or a quiet life in the suburbs, Gen Z – a cohort raised in a digital-first world of economic flux and side hustles – craves something different. They seek dynamic experiences, genuine community, work-life balance, and, crucially, the financial freedom to enjoy it all. This is precisely where Bangkok shines. The city didn't just win; it dominated in the categories that matter most to this generation. A staggering 84 percent of Gen Z respondents in Bangkok reported being happy with their life in the city, a clear reflection of the capital's infectious energy and positive atmosphere. But happiness is only half the story. In an era of global inflation and student debt, affordability is paramount. Bangkok delivers in spades, with 71 percent of its young residents rating it as a budget-friendly place to live. This isn't just about cheap eats (though the world-class street food certainly helps); it's about the financial breathing room to pursue creative projects, travel and build a life that isn't defined by a soul-crushing rent-to-income ratio. Perhaps most tellingly, Bangkok also proved to be the ultimate social hub. Gen Z urbanites here were the most likely of any city surveyed to say it's easy to make new friends. In a world that can often feel isolating, the city's welcoming vibe, bustling co-working spaces, and endless opportunities for social connection create a powerful sense of community. With an overall 'City Score' of 66% percent among its Gen Z inhabitants, the Thai capital's appeal is undeniable. Bangkok beat out some serious global heavyweights for the title, with Melbourne (Australia) coming in second, followed by Cape Town (South Africa), New York City (USA), and Copenhagen (Denmark) rounding out the top five. While cities like New York and London (which ranked ninth) offer immense opportunity, they couldn't compete with Bangkok's winning formula of low cost and high satisfaction. The secret is out. For a generation that values experiences over possessions and community over cubicles, Bangkok offers the ultimate urban playground. It's a city that proves you don't have to choose between your wallet and your well-being. You really can have it all. The Top 10 best cities for Gen Z 2025 are:
