This Celica popped up on Facebook Marketplace a few weeks ago, and it's just about perfect in every way with the doors closed. This generation of Celica was a truly gorgeous era, especially in such clean condition as this one, but this beautiful owner one-upped Toyota's work. Just look at how beautiful this is! This might well be the peak of automotive design, and I challenge any manufacturer to do better within their own design departments. This is the new standard for you to meet.

I am a genuine proponent of upward-swinging doors like this. Without any hyperbole, I think that all cars having these doors would be a benefit to society. Think about every tight parking spot you've ever been in, every parking lot door ding you've ever gotten, and imagine that all those struggles were gone. Doors that open upwards can't hit their neighbors in a parking lot, they can't get hemmed in by tall curbs or streetside trash cans. Sure, these doors look cool, but they're also just a better way to get in and out of vehicles.
Lambo doors are great. Celicas are great. Yellow is great. That combination of factors makes this just about the best car on Facebook Marketplace, if not the greatest on American roads today. It's got an automatic transmission, and I don't even care because of how beautiful it is. This is the apex of the automotive art form.

Toyota Drops Affordable 2025 Highlander Lease Deal For August
The Toyota Highlander is one of the original three-row SUVs, having originally debuted over 25 years ago. Fast forward to today, and its good cargo space, relative affordability, and inoffensive styling remind you why it's living a long, successful life. For August, Toyota is heating up the lease deal on the Toyota Highlander. In select markets, including the greater New York metro, you can take one home for as little as $499 per month. The lease term is 36 months and includes 12,000 annual miles, which means you could even save a little bit more if you can make do with 10,0000 per year. Toyota also includes the first two years or 25,000 miles of scheduled maintenance via ToyotaCare for $3,999 due at signing. It's worth noting that, although this lease price is specifically advertised in the New York region, there are very similar deals available elsewhere. Those in the Southwest (Arizona, New Mexico, etc.) can score a similar $519 per month payment with $2,999 due at signing, and California markets are advertised at $509 per month. Finally, Southeast coastal markets including Orlando, Tampa, and Miami will see an even lower payment - $449 per month - but will need $4,448 down. Of course, if you would rather not part with several thousand dollars at your lease's inception, you could also explore zero down options. By dividing the down payment evenly across 36 months, we can get a good idea of what a Toyota Highlander lease looks like without putting any money down. The Toyota Highlander is a legacy entrant in the fiercely competitive arena that is the mid-size SUV segment, and it wouldn't have made it this long without being seriously worthwhile. The standard engine is adequately powerful, delivering 265 horsepower to the front wheels unless optioned with available all-wheel drive. It beats out rivals like the Mazda CX-90 when it comes to rear seat room, and the interior features good quality materials that, while perhaps not best in class, will hold up well against daily wear and tear. A nice 84.3 cubic feet of total cargo space beats out rivals from Hyundai like the Santa Fe, too. In the interest of full disclosure, we will say that some rivals do some things better than the Highlander. For example, the Pilot has more cargo space and a tougher look; the CX-90 drives a little better; and the Telluride is on paper a better value. But the Toyota Highlander has amazing fundamentals and does everything a good mid-size SUV should do really well. Even if it doesn't particularly excel in one area or another. Lexus Unveils Surprise Supercar Concept At The Quail
It's edgy and appears to employ styling elements from Ferrari, Jaguar, and, maybe even Porsche. Not originally expected to appear at the California event, could this surprise new Sport Concept be a Lexus morphing into a new LC or maybe even a second-generation LFA? From the looks of this sleek coupe, that was just unveiled at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, this new concept appears to be an evolution of the Electrified Sport Concept that Lexus first revealed in 2021. Why do we say 'appears to be?' Simply because Lexus was giving out very little background information on this car. So we will have to delve into what Toyota's luxury brand has been tempting us with of late to get an idea of where this concept may go. Choosing to follow the same launch protocol as many of its rivals, Lexus selected America's prestigious The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering which is an integral part of the now famous Monterey Car Week held in Carmel, California. The new Lexus Sport Concept will employ an EV powertrain…probably The new Lexus Sport Concept found itself alongside rare classic cars like a Ferrari F50 GT1 and a Shelby Mustang GT350, and strategic reveals of new concepts and production models from Corvette, Aston Martin, Bentley, Lamborghini, Pagani, Koenigsegg, Porsche, as well as Ruf, Singer and Bugatti. Occupied by some of the best looking kinetic art on the planet, Monterey Car Week is the perfect setting for a new car reveal, and Lexus has taken the opportunity to unveil its new Sport Concept at The Quail. The sporty, low-slung, wide-bodied coupe reminds us of the Electrified Sport Concept that Lexus first teased in 2021, but employs a more sophisticated design that appears ready for production. With Lexus PR types remaining tight-lipped about specs, the Sport Concept's technical details are still under wraps. We do know that the brand is currently working on another supercar called the LFR, which according to Car and Driver, is expected to feature a twin-turbocharged hybrid V-8 powertrain. So with an internal combustion engine set to occupy that the LFR's engine bay, we suspect that the Sport Concept will employ an all-electric powertrain. When Lexus first unveiled its Electrified Sport Concept in 2021, the brand suggested a two-second plus 0-60mph sprint time and around 430 miles of range thanks to new solid-state batteries. Japan is long overdue for an electric supercar, so perhaps this Sport Concept could break the mold.
