Myles Garrett gets speeding citation for going 100 mph in latest Browns driving issue
The Browns' star defensive end was stopped by Strongsville police for going 100 mph in a 60 mph zone shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday, according to public records, and occurred in the hours after the Browns returned from Carolina and their first preseason game.
Video obtained by TMZ of the stop showed an officer pulling over the six-time Pro Bowl while he was driving a gray 2014 Ferrari, with the interaction being cordial.

Garrett was given a $250 ticket that can be paid without having to go to court, or he would have to appear in court on Thursday.
Cleveland.com reported that the Browns were aware of what happened and it will be addressed while the team is in Philadelphia for joint practices with the Eagles on Wednesday and Thursday.

Garrett has been cited eight times for speeding since the Browns took him No. 1 overall in 2017 and he had been involved in a serious crash in 2022 when he flipped the car he was driving.
The ticket comes after rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders had been cited for speeding twice over the course of 12 days.
It led to Browns general manager Andrew Berry calling it 'not smart' and 'something that we've addressed with him' when he spoke with reporters the second day of training camp.

'He understands the implications, he understands the consequences,' Berry said of Sanders. 'I think the thing is it's not just about yourself. It's not just about having a joy ride, it's not just about driving a car really fast, but it's about the fact that you can endanger other people. It's about the fact that if a deer or someone cuts out in front of you, like your reaction time. It's just dangerous and it's not something that we want our guys to be doing. It's not something that they should be doing.'

But I'm just enjoying the fun of being at this really cool event that I always wanted to go to with the person that I love.' He added: 'I've become way more strategic in understanding what I am portraying to people.' Following the Chiefs' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX in February, Kelce didn't immediately commit to returning for his 13th NFL season and the final year of his contract with the Chiefs. He acknowledged to GQ that he has been thinking about his life after the NFL, although he didn't offer any details on what that might look like. Kelce already has a high profile off the field, thanks in large part to his relationship with Swift but also from his appearances in countless TV commercials and on his successful 'New Heights' podcast, which he co-hosts with older brother Jason. Incidentally, that podcast is sure to hit, uh, new heights in its number of listeners this week when Swift makes her first appearance on the show. Part of Kelce's new outlook on his image seems to have been influenced by Swift and the way she interacts with her immense fan base. 'People gravitate towards how she performs and how she makes it feel like the entire stadium is in a little room with her,' Kelce said. 'She is so good at mesmerizing everybody and making everybody feel like it's an intimate situation. I think that alone — there is so much calm and coolness. She's beautiful. She's up there making everyone feel at ease. 'Whenever I get in front of a crowd, I feel like I've got to be like, Woooo! Like, excited, bringing the energy. Then I saw that coolness and that calmness and that relatability that she is so good at presenting. I really grabbed that. Like, Man, I can use that side of entertainment as well. It's not just always being the guy that brings the energy and creates these exciting moments.' Kelce added that he and Swift share similar outlooks when it comes to their respective legacies. 'Nowadays I just want to be respected and loved by the people that I'm surrounded by in my work,' he said. 'I want to leave it better than where it was when I started. And I see her having those same values.'

It's getting harder and harder to imagine a Carolina Panthers roster that doesn't include wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. Offensive coordinator Brad Idzik hit the lectern on Tuesday afternoon, following the team's latest session of training camp. As a former wideout and receivers coach, Idzik was asked about the depth currently sitting in Carolina's room of pass catchers. "Oh, it's really deep," he told reporters. "I just applaud the competition, their approach. Been a part of a lot of rooms that have diverse skill sets. But this group, top to bottom, we say, 'Hey, we want you to conceptually learn so we plug you and play in different spots.' All those guys are playing in different spots, they're all challenging each other and pushing each other. You don't feel like there's a huge drop-off when you go from one group to the next." That group features two first-round picks in Tetairoa McMillan and Xavier Legette, two-time Pro Bowler Adam Thielen and second-year standout Jalen Coker. The bunch also includes veteran Hunter Renfrow, who continues to make quite an impression on his comeback trail. "He just gets open. He just knows how to get open," Idzik said of Renfrow with a wide smile. "You might have bad leverage, he knows how to steal leverage. He's got freaky lateral quickness. When he opens up, he's like—big strides, powerful first four steps, which simulates, 'I'm going full-tilt vertical.'" Renfrow, who missed the entire 2024 campaign due to ulcerative colitis, signed a one-year deal with the Panthers back in April. Best-case scenario: Eagles Pro-Bowl guard Landon Dickerson will undergo what's being described as 'a minor procedure' on the meniscus in his right knee in the coming days. Dickerson then will be considered week to week, with the goal of returning for the Thursday night, Sept. 4… After suffering an injury toward the end of practice Sunday night, an update has now come for former star Alabama Crimson Tide and current Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Landon Dickerson. According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Dickerson suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee, and is set to undergo a minor procedure in the coming days. Per the report, Dickerson will also be considered week-to-week, with a goal to return to action for the Eagles season opener on Sept. 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. A former second round pick from the 2021 NFL draft, Dickerson is one of the more accomplished former Alabama players currently playing in the NFL, and will be entering year five in the league this fall. Since entering the NFL, Dickerson is a four-year starter at left guard for the Eagles in which he is a three-time Pro Bowl selection. Dickerson was also a starter on Philadelphia's Super Bowl winning team a year ago. At Alabama, Dickerson was a two-year starter for the Crimson Tide in 2019-20 who won the Rimington Trophy in 2020.
