New Delhi:
India's all-party delegation, led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Baijayant Panda, has returned after a landmark diplomatic mission to key countries in the Middle East and North Africa. The delegation, comprising members of Parliament (MPs), visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria and briefed international partners on India's response to the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam under Operation Sindoor, its broader fight against cross-border terrorism.
The delegation also included BJP members of parliament (MPs) Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, along with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi, former union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and nominated Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu. Former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla also accompanied the legislators.
Speaking to NDTV after landing in India, Rajya Sabha MP Sandhu said that the core message conveyed throughout the trip was India's strong position against terrorism and its commitment to peace.
"India will no longer remain silent in the face of terrorism from Pakistan and will respond strongly," Sandhu declared, underlining India's stance of zero tolerance toward terrorism under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
During the tour, the delegation engaged in high-level meetings with officials and parliamentarians in each country, highlighting India's message of unity in diversity and promoting stronger bilateral ties.
"We have interacted with the officials and parliamentarians of the respective countries and informed the world of the message that India stands for - unity in diversity," Sandhu said.
The outreach also focused on expanding diplomatic and strategic cooperation in counter-terrorism, economic collaboration, and cultural exchange. Sandhu noted that the delegation carried forward the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of projecting India as a peaceful, inclusive, and resilient democracy on the global stage.
"We have put out PM Modi's message and vision - of zero tolerance towards terror - and made it clear that India is determined to play a decisive role in global peace and security," he said.

'Bilawal Bhutto's mother was assassinated': Shashi Tharoor hits out at Pakistan in US; invokes Hillary Clinton's 'vipers' rebuke

NEW DELHI: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor , who is leading a parliamentary delegation to the United States in a diplomatic outreach to highlight India's firm stance against terrorism, launched a scathing attack and called out the nation's long-standing policy of harbouring terrorism. Taking aim at Pakistan's parallel delegation led by former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto , Tharoor invoked Hillary Clinton's famous rebuke: "How can you breed vipers in your backyard and expect them to bite only your neighbours?" The diplomatic face-off in Washington comes in the wake of Operation Sindoor , following the Pahalgam terror attack. While India has deployed seven delegations across 33 countries, Pakistan's smaller diplomatic initiative covers just five capitals - Washington, New York, Brussels, London, and Moscow. Tharoor's delegation has embarked on a comprehensive outreach program in Washington, including appearances at the National Press Club, meetings with diaspora media, and a reception hosted by the ambassador. "The message must be spread as widely as possible — through media, diaspora, and direct government outreach," he said. 'Indeed, I know that Bilawal Bhutto's mother was killed and one sympathise with the young man for the loss of his mother to terrorism,' he added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? IC Markets Undo Addressing Pakistan's diplomatic efforts, Tharoor remarked, "They can come with their narratives... But anybody who has followed this issue beyond official headlines will have absolutely no doubt as to what the Pakistani denials are worth — which is not very much." Pakistan's mission seeks international mediation and the revival of the Indus Waters Treaty , which India suspended on April 23 in response to the Pahalgam attack which claimed lives of 26 people. Speaking about India's suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, Tharoor had earlier stated in Colombia, "The time for acting on the basis of goodwill unilaterally is frankly no longer with us." Despite India's strong stance, Tharoor highlighted the country's balanced approach, noting, "We sympathise with victims of terror wherever they may be. I remember Parliament once passed a resolution condemning a terrorist attack that killed 40 schoolchildren in Pakistan. But it's very difficult to sympathise with the Pakistani authorities who have unfortunately created this phenomenon."

‘Sindoor Ka Badla Khoon': Shashi Tharoor Defends Op Sindoor

/ Jun 05, 2025, 10:12AM IST Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, speaking at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., passionately defended Operation Sindoor, India's powerful counter-terror military response to the brutal Pahalgam attack. Tharoor called the operation's name 'brilliantly chosen' and 'emotionally potent,' symbolizing the pain of 26 Indian women whose sindoor was wiped off by terrorists. 'There's a Hindi saying — sindoor ka badla khoon,' Tharoor declared, explaining how India's mission was not just military retaliation but a moral reckoning with terror. As part of India's all-party diplomatic offensive across world capitals, Tharoor also revealed key military achievements — 11 Pakistani airfields struck, command centers destroyed, and satellite imagery confirming runway craters from Hyderabad to Peshawar.#shashitharoor #operationsindoor #sindoorkabadlakhoon #shashitharoorspeech #shashitharoorinus #pahalgamattack #indiapakconflict #indiafirst #indianmilitarystrike #terrorismresponse #tharoorspeech #nationalpressclub #toi #toibharat #bharat #breakingnews #indianews

Busted Pakistani propaganda among OIC nations: Shrikant Shinde

NEW DELHI: India succeeded in busting the Pakistani narrative on Operation Sindoor, particularly among the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) member nations, where Islamabad sought succour after carrying out terror activities across the border, Shiv Sena leader Shrikant Shinde said. Shinde, who led a multi-party delegation to the UAE and West African countries as part of the government's global outreach efforts after Operation Sindoor, said the unique initiative provided an opportunity to convey India's message of zero tolerance for terrorism forcefully in nations that have a distinct voice in multilateral fora such as the OIC and the United Nations Security Council. The delegation led by Shinde visited the UAE, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Congo and interacted with senior representatives of the government, parliaments of the respective nations, think tanks and the Indian diaspora during its 14-day visit. "I think the propaganda Pakistan tried to sell to these nations, we were able to bust it. It was Pakistan that sent terrorists across the border into India to carry out attacks. We provided all facts and evidence. It was a very successful outreach programme," Shinde, who represents Kalyan parliamentary seat in suburban Mumbai in the Lok Sabha, told PTI Videos. The delegation led by Shinde comprised Bansuri Swaraj (BJP), E T Mohammad Basheer (IUML), Atul Garg (BJP), Sasmit Patra (BJD), Manan Kumar Mishra (BJP), former union Minister S S Ahluwalia and former diplomat Sujan Chinoy.
