Former One Direction star Zayn Malik, who recently concluded his tour, took to Instagram to share a new selfie with fans
Zayn Malik looked totally different as he took to Instagram to showcase his rugged new look. The 32-year-old former One Direction star, who finished his tour earlier this year, debuted a thick beard and moustache in a smouldering selfie shared with his 53.6million followers.
The singer rocked a black The Last Of Us cap along with a white vest and a colourful necklace. He didn't even need a caption to have thousands of his fans rushing to the comment section to compliment his look, with one impressed fan writing: "The effect this picture is having on me right now is INSANE!!!"
Another person commented: "Farmer Zayn I love you," while one fan added: "You have no idea how much this means to me." One user posted: "It's been 4 hours & I haven't moved from here."
Zayn's new selfie comes after he was forced to cancel his Mexico City gig in March at the last minute after falling ill. The singer was scheduled to perform but revealed that both he and his crew had been struck by food poisoning.
The star took the time to thank his fans for their support despite being heartbroken to let them down. He shared a update with them on his Instagram page at the end of March.
He wrote: 'I'm heartbroken to say that I won't be able to perform tonight in Mexico City. I've been really sick since this morning, and despite trying everything to push through, my body just isn't allowing it.
"I'm sorry to let you down. The love and energy I always feel from fans means the world to me, and it hurts deeply to miss this moment with you. Thank you for your understanding, and please know I'm sending all my love to each of you x.'
In another post to his stories, he added: 'Mexico. I love you even though myself and many of my crew got severe food poisoning. It's no joke - still struggling. To my fans, I'm sorry.
"These shows made me feel alive, happy, grateful, & at home, and that's all because of you. These shows, your energy, your fan projects….filled me with so much love and with a feeling I can't describe. Big love," the music star continued.
Meanwhile, last year, Zayn opened up about his daughter Khai - with who he shares with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid. Speaking on the Zach Sang Show, he said: "I feel like my daughter brought that colour back in my life.
"She just makes me happy. I have so much love in me that I didn't have before she was born. She laughs all day. She wants to do the silliest things and she gains so much excitement from it. She just has a whole fresh perspective on life that had somewhat become grey for me."
Zayn continued: "She's a force of nature. She's given me maturity. She's forced my sensibility to become this mature father for her, this good responsible role model that takes accountability for their actions and sticks to their work and proves that my word is bond."
