BMW to hike prices across range by up to 3% from September 1

BMW India has announced it plans to increase prices by up to three per cent with effect from September 1, 2025. The price hike will affect all models in BMW's lineup in the country. The luxury automaker attributed factors like continued forex impact and global supply chain dynamics, which have led to increased material and logistics costs, prompting the price increment.
BMW Car Prices To Increase From September
The BMW range starts from ₹46.90 lakh for the 2 Series Gran Coupe, going up to ₹2.60 crore (ex-showroom) for the XM performance SUV. This is BMW's third price hike this year. The carmaker previously increased prices in January and April.

BMW India Range
BMW has had a strong sales momentum in the first half of the year, and the automaker is looking to sustain that growth in the second half as well. The company retails a host of locally assembled and fully imported offerings in India. The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, 3 Series Long Wheelbase, 5 Series Long Wheelbase, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X7, M340i, and iX1 Long Wheelbase are locally assembled at the automaker's facility in Tamil Nadu.
Meanwhile, the BMW i4, i5, i7, i7 M70, iX, Z4 M40i, M2 Coupe, M4 Competition, M4 CS, M5, M8 Competition Coupe and XM make up for models that arrive as Completely Built Units (CBU).

BMW India has rolled out special '50 Jahre' Editions of its 3 Series to mark 50 years of the model in global markets. The commemorative versions are based on the BMW 330Li M Sport and BMW M340i, with only 50 units of each to be offered in the country. Both are locally assembled at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai and will be retailed exclusively through the brand's official website. The 330Li M Sport '50 Jahre' Edition is priced at ₹ 64 lakh, while the M340i '50 Jahre' Edition carries a tag of ₹ 76.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The 3 Series, first introduced in 1975 as a successor to the BMW 02 Series, has evolved through seven generations. Over the years, it has been offered in multiple body styles including four-door saloons, convertibles, coupés and hatchbacks. The nameplate also spawned the M3, which began life as a homologation special on the second-generation E30 platform. For the Indian market, the 330Li M Sport '50 Jahre' Edition receives exterior enhancements such as the M High-Gloss Shadowline package, gloss black details on the grille, diffuser and exhaust tips, along with a laser-engraved '1/50' badge on the B-pillar. Paint choices include Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey and M Carbon Black. Inside, the car features carbon fibre trim, Vernasca Cognac leather upholstery, a head-up display with augmented reality navigation, and a curved digital display. Power comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol unit producing 258 bhp and 400 Nm, enabling 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. The M340i '50 Jahre' Edition, meanwhile, is fitted with 19-inch Jet Black alloy wheels, red M Sport brake callipers, high-gloss black badging and '50 Jahre' emblems front and rear. The B-pillar carries an engraved '1/50' insignia, while colour options include Dravit Grey, Black Sapphire, Fire Red Metallic and Arctic Race Blue. The cabin is finished in Vernasca leather with M highlights and carbon fibre trim, alongside the brand's Operating System 8.5. Buyers will also receive a 1:18 scale model of the BMW 3.0 CSL and an M Performance key fob as part of the package. The performance variant continues with the 3.0-litre straight-six turbo petrol engine, producing 374 hp and 500 Nm, paired to BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, retaining its position as the quickest BMW built in India.

The BMW 3 Series is the brand's best-selling model worldwide and has completed 50 years in the global market since its debut in 1975. To commemorate the milestone, BMW India has launched special '50 Jahre" Editions of the BMW 330Li M Sport and BMW M340i , the two versions of the D-segment sedan on our shores. Locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, both models will be limited to 50 units each and made available exclusively via the company's official website. Prices are set at ₹64 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 330Li M Sport '50 Jahre' Edition and ₹76.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the M340i '50 Jahre' Edition. The 3 Series was launched in 1975 as a successor to the BMW 02 Series, and it is now in its 7th generation. While the first-gen model (E21) was exclusively available as a 2-door sedan, the range has since expanded to include 4-door, convertible, coupe, and even hatchback body styles. The first BMW M3 debuted on the second-gen E30 platform, the iconic E30 M3, as a homologation special for entering motorsports.
