Road closures for city's St Patrick's Day parade
The parade was expected to include floats from schools, bands and community groups, according to the volunteers behind the event.
Starting on Millennium Square at about 11:00 GMT, the parade would get under way on Great George Street before heading down Park Row and on to Boar Lane before travelling back via Vicar Lane and The Headrow, organisers said.
Affected roads would be closed on a rolling basis between 10:00 GMT and 13:00 GMT, they added.

This year's parade would raise money for St Gemma's Hospice, an independent charity providing end-of-life care to the people of Leeds, its organisers said.
The event was supported by Leeds City Council and the Government of Ireland's Emigrant Support Programme.
Event organisers thanked the Irish organisations of Leeds which supported the parade and staff from Leeds City Council's events and highways team.

Both companies previously collaborated on Francis Lee's 2020 period drama Ammonite. The film is expected to focus on O'Connor's early life and career. It will tell the story "of how one young woman from Dublin took on the world, examining how her global fame may have been built on her talent, but her name became synonymous with her efforts to draw attention to the crimes committed by the Catholic Church and the Irish state." Sinéad O'Connor died in 2023 at age 56. The biggest commercial success of her four-decade career remained her 1990 album 'I' Do Not Want What I Haven't Got', which featured her hit cover of Prince's song 'Nothing Compares 2 U'. O'Connor, who self-identified as a 'protest singer', intertwined her music and activism throughout her life. She most vehemently advocated against child abuse in the Catholic Church.
