A&K Sanctuary expands Egyptian fleet with Nile Seray

Travel Weeklya day ago
A&K Sanctuary next year will introduce a new ship, the Nile Seray, A&K's fifth in Egypt.
The name "Seray" means palace, which captures "the essence of this floating sanctuary," A&K said.
The ship will be able to accommodate 64 guests in 32 suites. Each suite will have a sitting area, floor-to-ceiling windows, a Juliet balcony and a large bathroom. Two suites have private balconies with outdoor spa pools.
The ship will have two restaurants (including one outdoors) a spa, gym, top deck with canopied daybeds, swimming pool and outdoor bar. The wellness space onboard features two spa treatment rooms and a gym.
The four-night itinerary will sail between Aswan and Luxor and visit the tombs of Nefertari, Seti I, Ramses VI and King Tutankhamun. The itinerary features a sailboat trip around Elephantine Island on a traditional, wind-powered felucca; an Egyptian cooking class; a costume party; and a hot air balloon ride. Egyptologists will be on every sailing.
A&K began offering Nile cruises in 1977, when founder Geoffrey Kent was inspired after meeting actor David Niven on the set of "Death on the Nile." He leased the steamship SS Memnon to launch the company's first cruise.

(L-R) Ji-young Yoo, Arden Cho and May Hong attend the "KPop Demon Hunters" special screening at the Netflix Tudum Theater on June 16, 2025 in Los Angeles, Netflix In the United States, theater chains like Cinemark, Regal Cinemas, Marcus and more will be participating, and screenings will be shown in most major U.S. cities. Fandango described the event on their website as: "We're goin' up, up, up—and now it's YOUR moment! For one weekend only, seal the Honmoon and sing your favorite KPop Demon Hunters songs with HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys in this full-length, sing-along version of the Netflix hit film." What People Are Saying Director Maggie Kang said in a Netflix press interview, per the BBC, that she and fellow director Chris Appelhans collaborated with experienced K-pop producers: "Because we wanted the music to be really incredible and really speak to the K-pop fans and be legitimately fit into the K-pop space, we felt that it was important to partner with a Korean label." Dan Lin, chairman of Netflix Film, told The Hollywood Reporter: "We knew younger female audiences and K-pop [and] anime fans would love this film, but it's been incredibly gratifying to see it embraced by an even broader audience and become a favorite film for both adults and kids. Adults are watching the movie with their friends or other family members, kids are watching with their friends and siblings." Cho said of her character Rumi to Entertainment Weekly: "She wants to encourage the girls to, obviously, be awesome rock stars and hunt the demons while covering this deep, dark secret and trying to overcome all of her struggles. It was a challenge finding the perfect balance between being grounded and real and honest and vulnerable, especially because Rumi has so many of those moments." Hong said of her character Mira to Entertainment Weekly: "She's tough as f***, I like that, but also so sensitive and so vulnerable. I do think I've been perceived as someone who's harder on the outside than I actually am with loved ones, and so it resonated with me." Yoo said of her character Zoey to Entertainment Weekly: "The main thing with Zoey is she's really energetic, which is fun and very lovable, but it's really tiring. A lot of it was just me trying to get as much energy as possible stored up in my system so that I could go into the booth and give that much energy to her voice, which is a ton of fun, but definitely a new kind of stamina challenge for me." What Happens Next KPop Demon Hunters sing-along tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, August 13 at 9 a.m. ET. For a full list of theaters and showtimes, as well as tickets, fans can go to

Walmart (WMT) Chases $360B Gen Z Spend With New Immersive Online Stores

U.S. retail giant Walmart (WMT) is making its pitch to attract more younger customers by launching new immersive online storefronts. Elevate Your Investing Strategy: Take advantage of TipRanks Premium at 50% off! Unlock powerful investing tools, advanced data, and expert analyst insights to help you invest with confidence. The shopfronts are part of its Walmart Realm initiative aimed at capturing the attention of Generation Z and Alpha youngsters. Virtual Reality It was launched in 2024 to produce virtual reality-inspired environments, influencer curation and gamified experiences to make the experience of shopping online more interactive. 'Walmart Realm connected millions of younger shoppers with creator-curated products, interactive mini-games, and trend-driven storytelling through this emerging medium,' said Justin Breton, head of brand partnerships and emerging experiences at Walmart. He added that the immersive storefronts included the 'vibrant K-POP Era, followed by Lo-Fi Playing, Rodeo Dreams, Nature Breaks, and Group Woosah.' To some people these might sound like a selection of Country and Western albums from the 1980s, but not it is hoped for those under the age of 30. The names are associated with different themes of online stores, with K-POP Era, for example, focused on K-Pop fans with features including exclusive merchandise, interactive mini-games, and products curated by creators related to K-pop aesthetics. Walmart Delivers The move supports Walmart Delivers, the mobile pop-up stores, which include photo booths, customizable giveaways, and interactive zones. As an example of this, on 2 September, the Walmart Delivers K-POP pop-up will be at the BABYMONSTER concert in Chicago. It also comes as Walmart announced in its Q1 results that it had achieved profitability in its eCommerce business on both a U.S. and global enterprise basis. Generation Z is quite the target for Walmart given that it commands more than $360 billion in spending power in the U.S. alone. According to Walmart's data, 47% of Gen Z are engaging in immersive digital experiences, with 70% of younger consumers preferring fun shopping experiences. This fits into one of Walmart's key risks, which is the ability to sell its products to customers, including those from a range of backgrounds and ages. 'We are transforming us into a go-to destination for premium, trend-driven products that meet customers where they are,' Breton continued. 'And no matter what they're into… We get it, we have it, and we can deliver it. Who knew?' Is WMT a Good Stock to Buy Now? On TipRanks, WMT has a Strong Buy consensus based on 29 Buy ratings. Its highest price target is $130. WMT stock's consensus price target is $112.15, implying a 7.7% upside.
