The highest-paid tennis players in the world, ranked
Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tennis tournament, began on June 30 and wraps up on July 13. Some major players have already been eliminated from the tournament, including third-seed Alexander Zverev, ninth-seed Daniil Medvedev, and 12th-seed Frances Tiafoe for the men, and second- through-fifth-seeds Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Jasmine Paolini, and Zheng Qinwen for the women.
In other words, it's anyone's game.
Tennis is one of the biggest sports in the world, and according to Tennis.com, the number of players is only growing. There was a jump of nearly 2 million tennis players in the US from 2023 to 2024.
While becoming a professional tennis player is grueling work, it can lead to huge paydays. Forbes ranked the highest-paid tennis players in the world in 2024, with earnings ranging from $13.7 million to an eye-popping $42.3 million.
Here are the highest-earning tennis players in the world, and how they did it.
10. Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka, a 27-year-old champ from Belarus, was ranked the first seed at Wimbledon this year, and remains the only woman from the top five still in competition. She's also ranked No. 1 in the world by the WTA.
Forbes reported Sabalenka earned a total of $13.7 million last year: $6.7 million in prize money and $7 million in sponsorships and other deals.
Most recently, she won the 2024 US Open and the 2024 Australian Open. She also made it to the finals of the 2025 Australian Open and the 2025 French Open.
Sabalenka, who has 3 million followers on Instagram, has partnerships with Wilson, Nike, and Audemars Piguet.
9. Casper Ruud
Ruud skipped Wimbledon this year, though he was seeded at No. 15. He announced on June 21 that a knee injury was hindering his ability to play, per ESPN.
The 26-year-old hails from Norway, and although he's never won a Grand Slam (he's been runner-up three times), he's still earned a pretty penny. Forbes estimated that he earned $13.9 million last year, with $10 million coming from off-the-court endeavors and $3.9 million from winnings.
His biggest endorsements are Samsonite, Vitamin Well, watch brand Fleming, Yonex, and Varsity Headwear.
8. Naomi Osaka
Osaka, 27, has been one of the best-known tennis players in the world since her surprise 2018 US Open win over Serena Williams. In the years following, she's won another US Open and two Australian Opens. She also made it to the third round of Wimbledon for the first time since 2018 this year, though she was knocked out by Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
Osaka, who was born in Japan, earned an estimated $14.6 million last year, and just $600,000 of that came from winnings, Forbes reported. The remaining $14 million came from off-the-court partnerships with Maybelline, Etsy, Nike, and her own media company, Hana Kumo. She also has an impressively loyal fan base of 2.8 million Instagram followers.
7. Daniil Medvedev
Medvedev, who was seeded at No. 9, has already been knocked out of Wimbledon this year, but that shouldn't keep the 29-year-old down for long. He's had multiple finals appearances in Grand Slams and won the US Open in 2021. He also made it to the quarterfinals at the 2020 Olympics as part of the Russian Olympic Committee.
Of course, his $20.3 million earnings from last year should be a nice consolation prize, too.
Medvedev has high-profile deals with video game brands EA Sports and Ubisoft, as a gamer himself, in addition to Lacoste, BMW, and Tecnifibre, which add up to $13 million, Forbes reported.
He also earned $7.3 million in prize money last year.
6. Rafael Nadal
Technically, Nadal isn't a tennis player anymore; he retired in 2024 at 38 years old and as one of three men who completed the career Golden Slam in men's singles (all four Grand Slam tournaments plus a gold medal at the Olympics).
However, in the last full year of his career, he earned $23.3 million. While most of that ($23 million to be specific) came from off the court, we still have to pay respect to one of the GOATs of tennis. Especially one who has won over $120 million in prize money over the course of his career.
5. Jannik Sinner
Sinner, 23, is the No. 1 seed for Wimbledon this year and is still in competition for the win. In 2025, he won the Australian Open (which he also won in 2024) and was in the finals of the French Open. Sinner is also ranked No. 1 by ATP, the governing body of men's tennis.
The Italian player, per Forbes, earned $26.6 million last year: $11.6 million in winnings and $15 million from other streams of income.
A quick look at his Instagram feed tells us he has partnerships with Nike, the skincare brand La Roche Posay, Lavazza, and Gucci.
4. Iga Swiatek
Swiatek, 24, is currently ranked No. 4 in the world by the WTA, and was seeded eighth at Wimbledon, where she is still in contention to win.
In addition to being the first Polish tennis player to win a singles title, she's won four of the seven French Opens she's competed in. She also won the US Open in 2022.
Forbes put her 2024 earnings at $26.7 million, with $11.7 million in winnings and $15 million from brand deals and other career endeavors.
You might've seen her promoting Lancôme, On, Rolex, Visa, and Tecnifibre.
3. Coco Gauff
Gauff is not only the youngest player on this list, at 21, but she was also the highest-paid American tennis player last year, earning $27.1 million ($7.1 million in earnings, $20 million in deals), per Forbes.
She rocketed to fame in 2023 after she became the first teenager since Serena Williams in 1999 to win the US Open. Since then, she won the French Open in 2025 and made it to the third round of the 2024 Olympics. She was, however, knocked out of Wimbledon in the first round this year.
Gauff has her own line at New Balance and deals with Bose, UPS, and Naked Juice. She also announced the start of Coco Gauff Enterprises in partnership with the talent agency WME in April 2025.
2. Novak Djokovic
What is there to say about Djokovic? He's the only player in history to win all nine active ATP Masters tournaments, the only player to complete the Career Grand Slam three times, and at 38 years old, he's still ranked No. 6 in the world.
Fittingly, he was also the sixth seed at Wimbledon this year, and is fighting for his eighth Wimbledon title.
While the legend from Serbia is only at No. 2 for 2024 earnings, he's far and away the highest-earning tennis player of all time with $187,870,986 in winnings to his name, per ATP.
Last year, he earned $37.2 million — $25 million of that was off the court, while $12.2 million was prize money.
His endorsements include Joe and the Juice, Asics, Lacoste, and Qatar Airways.
1. Carlos Alcaraz
At the top of the list is 22-year-old Alcaraz, who is looking for a threepeat at Wimbledon this year after winning in 2023 and 2024. He started off 2025 strong with a win at the French Open.
Forbes put Alacaraz's 2024 earnings at $42.3 million, with $10.3 million in prize money and $32 million in endorsements.
Alcaraz, who hails from Spain, has partnered with Rolex, BMW, Nike, Louis Vuitton, Evian, and more. He also starred in his own Netflix docuseries in 2025 called "Carlos Alcaraz: My Way."

Wife's reaction says it all as Djokovic incident sends shivvers through Wimbledon
Novak Djokovic admits his body is not what it once was after a 'nasty' incident in his Wimbledon quarter-final win that left wife Jelena horrified and sparked huge concerns for the Serb. Djokovic set up a blockbuster clash against World No.1 Jannik Sinner in the last-four after ending the fairytale run of Italian young gun Flavio Cobolli, 6-7 (6-8) 6-2 7-5 6-4. But the seven-time champion suffered a frightening late fall on the Centre Court grass that saw him scream in pain and left him sprawled out behind the baseline. The sickening scenes came while Djokovic held a second match point, having come back from dropping the opening set to stand on the cusp of victory. Cobolli was trying desperately to stay in the contest and his shot from the opposite baseline wrong-footed Djokovic, who stretched to try and retrieve the ball but ended up doing the splits. The 38-year-old let out an audible scream, before ending up lying face-down on the grass as Cobolli and chair umpire Eva Asderaki-Moore both came over to check on the stricken Serb. Thankfully, the 24-time major winner was able to gingerly get back to his feet, before winning the next two points to book a place in his 14th Wimbledon grand slam semi-final. That sees the 38-year-old surpass Roger Federer's record of 13 appearances in the last-four and makes him the oldest men's semi-finalist since Aussie tennis legend Ken Rosewall in 1974. Djokovic admitted afterwards that his trademark slides can be risky on the Wimbledon grass but was hopeful he'd avoided any significant injury before his semi-final clash with Sinner. "It was a nasty slip and that's what happens when you play on the grass. You expect to fall with the way I move and slide on the grass," said Djokovic. "It came at an awkward moment but I managed to close it out. I will visit this subject with my physio and hopefully it will be fine in two days." But he later admitted in his post-match press conference: 'Obviously (my) body is not the same today like it was before, so I guess the real impact or effect of what happened, I will feel tomorrow. So let's see." A very nasty fall on match point, the splits gone wrong….ouch 😖Poor Jelena & Stefan look horrified but Novak was able to serve out the match & appeared to be ok, but his physio will work on him; hopefully all is well. It will be the 10th time Djokovic and Sinner have faced off, with the Italian holding a 5-4 career record over Djokovic. RELATED: Cruz Hewitt hits out at father Lleyton in fiery scenes at Wimbledon Alex de Minaur goes public with heartbreaking truth after loss The Serb has won their only two previous matches at Wimbledon though, beating Sinner in the semi-finals in 2023 and the quarter-finals in 2022. Sinner was fortunate to progress to the quarters after trailing Grigor Dimitrov by two-sets-to-love in their last-16 clash before the Bulgarian had to retire with a torn pec in heartbreaking scenes. Sinner also injured his elbow in a fall during that match and was sporting a white sleeve on his racquet arm to protect it during the quarter-final win over Shelton. There was a brief moment of concern for the Italian when he clutched at the elbow after trying to return a booming serve from the American, but it was an otherwise ruthless straight-set victory for the three-time major winner. "When you are in a match with a lot of tension, you try to not think about it," said Sinner, who has reached his fourth straight grand slam semi-final. "It has improved a lot from yesterday to today." The winner of Sinner's semi-final with Djokovic will play either two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz or American fifth seed Taylor Fritz in the Wimbledon final. with AAP

Grigor Dimitrov's Hollywood Star Girlfriend Issues Wimbledon Reminder on Wednesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Hollywood actress Eiza Gonzalez, known for films like 'Baby Driver' and 'Godzilla vs. Kong,' shared a heartfelt message for her boyfriend, Bulgarian tennis star Grigor Dimitrov, giving fans a midweek reminder about his Wimbledon journey. Advertisement On Wednesday, Gonzalez posted an Instagram Story showing her hand holding Dimitrov's as they walked together. The simple yet touching photo was paired with the caption: 'Just a reminder that this cutie would be playing QF today and probably winning it too ly.' Though Gonzalez later deleted the Story, a fan shared a screenshot on X, keeping the moment alive for supporters who missed it. The post came as many tennis fans are still talking about Dimitrov's dramatic exit from Wimbledon this week. On Monday, the 34-year-old was in the middle of a thrilling fourth-round match against world No. 1 Jannik Sinner. Advertisement Dimitrov had won the first two sets and looked on track for a major upset. But in the third set, he suddenly fell to the grass, clutching his chest and shoulder. Despite trying to continue, he was forced to retire from the match due to severe pain. The Wimbledon crowd gave him a loud ovation as he left the court, visibly upset. Sinner, showing sportsmanship, helped carry Dimitrov's bags to the locker room. Gonzalez publicly expressed pride in Dimitrov shortly after his retirement. She shared another Instagram Story with a photo of Dimitrov and a loving message: Advertisement 'Love of my life. I couldn't be more proud of you. You are BEYOND outstanding. This is just a moment that will pass and it'll make you even stronger. But watching you today alongside the world's best was a reminder of who YOU are. You're a winner. We all saw it. And you'll do it again. I love you.' Dimitrov and Gonzalez went public with their relationship in May during the Madrid Open, where she was seen cheering for him courtside. Since then, the pair has been spotted together at several events. Though Dimitrov's Wimbledon run ended early, his team confirmed he suffered a partial tear in his pectoral muscle. His manager, Georgi Stoimenov, shared that while Dimitrov will miss a few upcoming tournaments, including events in Sweden, Toronto and Cincinnati, he's aiming to recover in time for the US Open starting on August 24, per Bulgarian outlet Tenniskafe. Dimitrov, who has been one of Bulgaria's top sports stars for over a decade, has faced several injuries in recent years, making this latest setback especially tough. Despite his disappointment, the tennis world continues to support him, with Sinner calling him an 'incredible player' and 'a good friend.' Advertisement Meanwhile, Gonzalez's steady encouragement seems to be lifting Dimitrov's spirits, as fans continue to hope he'll return strong for the final Grand Slam of the season. Celtics' Jayson Tatum sends championship farewell message to Luke Kornet
The post Celtics' Jayson Tatum sends championship farewell message to Luke Kornet appeared first on ClutchPoints. Amid Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum recovering from a ruptured Achilles, he has had to send a handful of farewells to his former teammates, including one to backup center Luke Kornet. The moves undoubtedly highlight the Celtics' new cap reality in the wake of Tatum's devastating setback, as Kornet agreed to a four-year, $41 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs. Advertisement Tatum also reposted the Celtics' farewell messages to Kristaps Porzingis, who is heading to the Atlanta Hawks, and starting guard Jrue Holiday, who heads back to the Portland Trail Blazers. Tatum posted a picture of himself and Porzingis on his 24-hour Instagram story, per SB Nation's Noa Dalzell. Luke Kornet earned his $41 million payday on the strength of turning in one of his better seasons in 2024-25. Kornet averaged 6.0 points on 66.8% shooting, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks in 18.6 minutes per game. His presence was also felt on the defensive end of the floor, as Luke will go from backing up Kristaps Porzingis with the Celtics to becoming All-Star Victor Wembanyama's reserve with the Spurs. Celtics' Jayson Tatum will continue to rehab. Celtics finalize Anfernee Simons, Jrue Holiday swap with Blazers Bob DeChiara-Imagn Images The Celtics' trade with the Blazers for Anfernee Simons sends Jrue Holiday to the team the Celtics traded with ahead of the 2024 championship run. However, the Blazers altered the initial trade, diminishing the return of the packaged deal that came with Simons. Advertisement A pair of draft picks is no longer part of the guard-for-guard swap, per The Oregonian's Aaron J. Fentress. 'The Portland Trail Blazers trade with the Boston Celtics has been reduced to a straight player swap without the previously reported two second-round picks going to the Celtics, a league source has told The Oregonian/OregonLive,' Fentress reported. 'According to the source, a recent review of Holiday's medicals revealed nothing substantial enough to warrant the trade being negated. 'However, there was enough there to lead the Blazers to slightly alter the terms of the deal. Holiday, the source said, is considered to be healthy and will be working out this summer in preparation for the start of training camp near the end of September,' Fentress concluded. After helping the Celtics secure their 18th championship in his first season with the Celtics, Holiday's production took a hit last season. He averaged 11.1 points on 44.3% shooting, including 35.3% from deep, 4.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.1 steals in 2024-25. Holiday, 35, is owed $34.8 million in 2025-26 and has a $37.2 million player option for next season, which is the final year of his four-year, $134.4 million contract.
