EastEnders fans 'work out' who Nicola Mitchell's sister is after iconic scene

Daily Mirror5 hours ago

Nicola Mitchell tried to get the family back together in EastEnders as she planned to host half Christmas for the family - but fans think there's one member we don't know about
Last night's EastEnders duff duff which saw Nicola Mitchell throw down her Christmas tree in a fit of rage seemed very familiar to fans, as they think they've been sent a major clue on Nicola's 'secret sister'.
Nicola joined EastEnders last year - but we haven't heard much of her family outside the Mitchells. However, earlier this year she revealed she was off to Ibiza to see her sibling. Now, fans think they've worked out who it is - and it's someone we know.

At the end of yesterday's episode, Nicola went into a fit of rage with Teddy after he shut down her half Christmas Eve advances. "I think you're a nasty, toxic mess of a person Nic," Teddy said, as the two engaged in a fiery argument.

It all got too much for Nicola when Teddy said he despised her, as she screamed and threw down the Christmas tree she put up. Some fans however, thought they had seen an eerily similar moment before.
In an iconic scene in 2011, which still gets used as a meme to this day, Vanessa Gold trashing Max Branning' s house after discovering his affair with Tanya.
During her rampage, she was heard screaming "Bubbly's in the fridge!" while ripping down the curtains - with fans comparing it to Nicola's Christmas tree destruction.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan posted a picture of both Nicola and Vanessa, along with the caption: "the sister conspiracy theories??? i am on my knees man," with another responding: "Bubbles in the fridge and the Christmas tree moment are so similar, family tempers!"

"its in the blood!" exclaimed another, as a fourth wrote: "After Nicola's rage at the end of today's episode, which somewhat resembled the 'bubbly's in the fridge' rage from Vanessa, I was wondering if she could be her secret sister?"
Vanessa Gold, who was played by Zöe Lucker, left the soap months later after her partner at the time, Eddie Moon, double-crossed her in a revenge plot against his son Michael. Vanessa believed the pair would leave for Spain together, however he used her for the money and ran.
Realising she's left with no one around her, Vanessa walked away in tears, and was never seen again. Could she be back to reunite with Nicola?

Elton John risks fuelling Beckham family 'feud' with message to godson Brooklyn

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Sir Elton John has seemingly waded into the Beckham family dynamics by publicly paying tribute to his godson Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola. Brooklyn, 26, posted a romantic social media post, marking five years since he and Nicola, 30, got engaged - which prompted a heartfelt response from Sir Elton. The Rocket Man singer, who is also godfather to Romeo Beckham, tagged the couple and wrote: "Happy Anniversary to the sweetest, most loving couple," accompanied by red heart emojis. A long-time friend of the Beckhams, Sir Elton has been a constant presence in the family's life and is affectionately referred to as Uncle Elton by their children. His Instagram post comes in the wake of a rumoured dispute between some members of the Beckham family and Brooklyn and Nicola, who recently bought a large home in Los Angeles. While none of the family have publicly spoken about the speculated issues, Brooklyn and Nicola have been notably absent from various milestone family events this year, in particular David's 50th birthday celebrations in May, and his long-awaited knighthood from King Charles this month. (Image: Instagram) Eagle-eyed fans have also noted multiple cryptic comments on social media from the famous family during the past few months that seemingly allude to a rift. Brooklyn did not respond to David's father's day message last month, which said: "I will always be there, no matter what" alongside snaps of the whole family, including Victoria, Brooklyn, and his younger siblings Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13. He added: "My most important & favourite job in life is being a dad... I'm so proud of all of you and like daddy (sorry boys) tells you every single day I will always be here for you no matter what... "Mummy thank you for doing the most important part and making me a father there is no greater gift in life than making me a dad... Happy Father's Day... I love you kiddies more than you could imagine." On Monday, Brooklyn's younger brother, Cruz, appeared to aim a dig at his sibling after a follower asked on TikTok: "Are you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?" Cruz was quick to retort with: "Wrong brother, mate." The cheeky remark from Cruz comes after fans have poked fun at Brooklyn for changing his career ambitions over the years, from wanting to become a photographer, to developing a passion for cooking.

EastEnders star hits back at cruel troll as they accuse her of looking like ‘a grandma' after weight loss

EASTENDERS star Lorraine Stanley has hit back at a cruel troll who branded her a 'grandma' on social media. Lorraine, 48, has been proudly showing off the results of her five stone weight loss after undergoing a gastric sleeve operation. 3 3 In her latest TikTok video, the former Karen Taylor star danced with daughter Nancy and even included '#motherdaughter on her post. But that didn't stop one person from making a savage assumption, when they wrote: 'Is that your granddaughter?' But actress Lorraine was quick to hit back: 'Daughter. #motherdaughter is a bit of a clue.' Fans jumped to Lorraine's defence, with one replying: 'Why did you think that was an appropriate comment to make?' And someone else added: 'You look incredible.' Lorraine has been open about how she managed to lose weight, revealing her operation on social media when asked by followers to share her secret. The star was written out of Eastenders in 2023 after seven years on the show. Her axing was part of a shock cast shake-up with her final scenes aired in December of that year. She reprised her role a couple of times in 2024 with her last episode hitting the screens in June. Lorraine exclusively told The Sun last year: "At the moment I wouldn't go back, I'm happy doing what I'm doing. "They've left the door open, so never say never." Her latest acting role is the LGBTQ+ movie Departures which tells the story of a toxic relationship between two men - Benji and Jake - the latter played by former Hollyoaks hunk David Tag.
