Atletico deny offers for Angel Correa after forward appeared to say goodbye on Sunday
Atletico Madrid have denied receiving any offers for Angel Correa after the forward appeared to say goodbye to the club on Sunday.
Correa is under contract until June 2026 but, following Sunday's 4-1 win over Real Betis, posted on Instagram at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano that he had 'lived my last home game in this shirt that I love so much'.

Correa has been a mainstay in the Atletico team since arriving from San Lorenzo in his native Argentina in 2014 but has made only five starts across La Liga and the Champions League this term.
Spanish outlets have linked the 30-year-old with a summer departure from Atletico and he appeared emotional at the end of the Betis game, walking a lap around the stadium and seemingly waving goodbye. Atletico end their league campaign next Sunday with a trip to Girona.
'Given the doubts generated at the end of yesterday's match against Real Betis at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, the club wants to clarify that Angel Correa is currently under contract with Atletico Madrid until June 30, 2026,' Atletico said in a statement on Monday.
'No club has contacted our entity to start negotiations for a possible transfer of our striker, nor has his representative made us any offer for the Argentine international.'

Correa has scored 88 goals in 465 games for Atletico, making him their sixth-highest appearance maker. He was part of the La Liga-winning side in 2020-21, as well as winning the Europa League in 2018 and finishing as a Champions League runner-up in 2016. In 44 appearances this term, he has scored eight goals, his lowest return since the 2019-20 season.
'A brilliant career that the club will deservedly recognise in due course when the player finishes his contract or if the circumstances of a transfer to another club should arise,' Atletico added.
Following the Girona game, Atletico continue their season at the Club World Cup in June. Diego Simeone's side will face Paris Saint-Germain, Seattle Sounders and Botafogo in their group.
