COREY CONNERS has been forced to withdraw from the US Open just hours before his final round.
The Canadian, 33, has been suffering with a right wrist injury.

The issue is said to have occurred as he attempted to play a bunker shot on the 11th hole.
Yesterday he required medical attention while out on course.
Prior to withdrawing, Conners had been 38th in the standings.

JJ Spaun earned the biggest payday of his career as he hung tough to win a dramatic US Open on Sunday. The American had been a mainstay at the top of the leaderboard all week, but a string of bogeys to start the day coupled with some horrible luck early on, caused him to slip down the leaderboard. Spaun would come up clutch, however, with a timely birdie on the short 17th followed by a major moment as he holed a mammoth putt on 18 to win the tournament. For his efforts, Spaun will cash a cheque of $4.3m, bigger than Rory McIlroy's $4.2m he earned for winning the Masters earlier this year. McIlroy has been out of form since that Masters win but did show some signs of life with a three-under-par final round and earned a cool $243,070 for his efforts. A PROMISING young jockey has been kicked off a huge Royal Ascot ride - as punters warned 'karma will come' for the horse's owners.
