Gal Gadot and Matthias Schoenaerts to star in WW2 flick Ruin
Gal Gadot and Matthias Schoenaerts are set to star in the World War II flick 'Ruin'.
The thriller comes from director Niki Caro and is set in post-war Germany, with Gadot playing a camp prisoner who forms an alliance with a German soldier (Schoenaerts) as they both seek revenge on a Nazi Schutzstaffel unit.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, principal photography is pencilled in for early 2026.
Caro will also produce alongside Marc Butan for MadRiver Pictures and Gadot and Jason Varsano for Pilot Wave Motion Pictures.
Gadot is currently filming 'The Runner' and will also star in 'Hand of Dant'.
She just starred as the Evil Queen in the live-action version of 'Snow White' alongside Rachel Zegler as the Disney Princess.
As for Schoenaerts, he can be seen in 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow', with 'The Old Guard 2' and 'The Way of the Wind' on the way.
Meanwhile, Gadot recently shared how her 'Wonder Woman' success has been "life-changing".
The 40-year-old actress played the central character in the 2017 superhero movie, and it changed the course of her career.
The movie star - who reprised the role in 'Justice League' and 'Wonder Woman 1984' - told Variety: "To do the solo 'Wonder Woman' movie with a partner like Patty Jenkins was life-changing.
"I think we both felt like we were just a vessel to tell a story that is much bigger than us, that the world was ready for - a complete, empowered woman who is strong and at the same time vulnerable."

The Final Destination star - who has two young children with her comedian husband Hayes MacArthur - decided to leave Hollywood after the schools shut down and they relocated to a "ski town" her husband had visited as a child and Ali admits they had only planned to stay for two months. It's wild how COVID opened up so many different lives for people in unexpected ways, where you really stared your life in the eye and went: 'Am I happy? What are the choices I'm making, am I willing to roll the dice?' "It was the pandemic and our kids' schools were shut down. It was a really challenging time. The kids were out of school for over a year and a half, and we decided to take them to a ski town. "We went to a place I had never been to before that my husband had been as a child. We thought this was a chance for a couple months to just do something as a family." Although they never intended to stay permanently, Ali reveals the huge change made a big difference to their way of life so they decided to stay. She added: "My husband and I are both adventurous by nature. We don't sit in the muck and that's what it felt like - we were just sitting in the muck of this life that was not working. "We went for two months and the schools were open there. We were able to put our daughter in kindergarten, and that was massive. We stayed for two more months and the dominoes kept falling in really positive ways so we just decided to roll the dice." However, Ali admits it was a risk because of the couple's work was mostly based out of Los Angeles. She explained: "We had built our lives and our careers in this town [in Hollywood], and never even thought there was a world where we wouldn't be living there. "And it's scary when you leave. You wonder if you're ever going to work again, and if you're giving it all up."

Former Evanescence guitarist Jen Majura steps back from music industry
Former Evanescence guitarist Jen Majura is stepping back from the music industry. The 41-year-old German rocker was a member of the Bring Me To Life band from 2015 until 2022, when she found herself unceremoniously ousted from the band. Three years on, the touring musician has decided to quit music for the foreseeable future, because of the "overwhelming amount of ridiculousness that comes with the music industry nowadays." In a letter to fans shared on Instagram, she penned: 'Dear friends, 'I'm gonna make this as brief as I can: 'After careful consideration, observing what's going on in the music industry, AI related developments and change in society I've come to the conclusion to step away. 'Some of you have heard me talk about this quite a while ago. Instead of wasting another year of my life constantly hoping for new energy, drive and creativity, I've reached a point in my life where I can confidentially lean back in peace. While time allowed me, I was able to collect an amazing amount of beautiful experiences, tours, shows, travels and moments! I am grateful for every bit of that, but the world has changed. I can confidently make up my mind to stop." Majura hasn't ruled out a return to music in the future. She continued: 'I am not saying that I will never create any music again, whether recorded or live – but for now I feel there are healthier and better things to fill my life with good vibes and not deal with the overwhelming amount of ridiculousness that comes with the music industry nowadays. I just can't identify with today's attitude and values anymore." After thanking fans for their support over the years, Majura announced the release of four tracks she stumbled upon after a decade. She said: 'I wholeheartedly want to wish all the ambitious and remaining "creators', young and old, all the best. With time, the meaning will become clearer. 'To you, the fans, I wanna give you a giant virtual hug and say THANK YOU for all your support, love and faith throughout these years of me being an active touring musician, I am grateful." She signed off: 'As a final musical endeavor I wanna share 4 tracks with you. Songs that were written over a decade ago together with the great guitarist Dennis Hormes. I found these old demo recordings while cleaning out stuff from my computer and thought they are too good to not be shared. So if you made it this far and read the whole post, I assume you actually ARE someone that truly cares and these 4 singles are for you!' Announcing the departure of Majura, Amy Lee and co declared her tenure a "very special chapter" in the history of the group. In a social media statement, they wrote: 'It has been a very special chapter in the band with our dear friend Jen Majura, but we have decided it's time to go our separate ways. 'We will always love her and support her, and can't wait to see what she does next! We are so grateful for the good times and great music we made all around the world together.' Majura later claimed it was not her decision to leave Evanescence, but insisted there are "no hard feelings" or animosity between her and the rest of the band. She tweeted: 'I feel the need to address that none of this was my decision! "I have no hard feelings against anybody and I wish Evanescence all the best. I am allowed to carry beautiful memories of these past years, I am grateful.' Majura replaced Terry Balsamo as guitarist, the replacement of original member Ben Moody, who quit back in 2003.

James Gunn confirms new Wonder Woman film is in the works
A new Wonder Woman movie is in the works. James Gunn, the CEO of DC Studios, has confirmed that a new Wonder Woman film is already in development, explaining that the project is "slow moving, but it's moving". James, 58, told Entertainment Weekly: "We're working on Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman's being written right now." Gal Gadot previously starred as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in a number of DC movies, including Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman, Justice League, and Wonder Woman 1984. However, plans to make a third standalone Wonder Woman movie with Gal as the lead actress were scrapped after James took on his current role. The Guardians of the Galaxy director has not yet cast the role of Wonder Woman for the upcoming movie, but he acknowledged that Superman, Batman, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman are crucial to the DC brand. James explained: "I wouldn't say only those four characters, but I would say that those four characters are incredibly important to us. "Right now, I feel great about where two of those characters are, and then we're dealing with the other two." Earlier this year, James claimed that "people are looking for heroes right now". The filmmaker wrote and directed the new Superman movie, and James is feeling optimistic about the David Corenswet-led film. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at a DC press event, he explained: "I think he's the right Superman because he is a character that stands for something that is solid, stands for basic human morals, basic human integrity, basic belief in protecting others and protecting the weak being good to people and being honest. "People are looking for heroes right now. They are looking for values of goodness, looking for people who are good and decent human beings. And Superman is that." James and Warner Bros plan to throw their full weight behind the promotional campaign for the upcoming film. The director said: "DZ [David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery] loves what we're doing, loves the movie, and has really rallied the entire company behind Superman for this summer. "You've seen what can happen when Warner Bros. Discover gets together behind a Barbie or a Beetlejuice or a Wonka or Kong. And that's how its being treated right now for Superman. Everything that DZ has promised us two years ago when we got the job, it's all been a reality." James and Peter Safran became the co-chairmen and co-CEOs of DC Studios back in 2022. And the duo remain committed to bringing popular comic book characters to life in the coming months and years. James shared: "We don't want these characters to die out. "We want to bring new stories and new life, we want to introduce these characters to new generations. And I think we are doing that, slowly but surely."
