LITTLE MIX may have been one of X Factor's most successful acts, but stardom came at a cost for Jade Thirlwall.
The girlband, Jade, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson, racked up 19 top ten singles including FIVE No1s, since their talent show triumph.

But now she feels like she 'sold her soul' to make her dream of being a singer come true.
Jade is one of four celebrities on ITV's new entertainment series The Assembly, where she was questioned by interviewers who are autistic, neurodivergent or learning disabled — with no topics off limits.
But Jade, who has embarked on a solo career, was left stumped when one man asked her if she regretted selling her soul by finding fame on the talent show back in 2011.
Struggling to answer diplomatically, before comparing herself to Marvel superhero Thanos, she confessed: 'You've trumped me . . . Maybe a little bit in the beginning.
'I was so young and I just signed on the dotted line.
'But as the years have gone by I've learned more and more about the industry.
'I've been collecting — a bit like Thanos with the stones — I've been collecting parts of my soul back as I've gained more creative freedom.'
Asked if she thought it was the 'end of Simon Cowell', she continued: 'I think it's the end of that kind of TV show or music label.
'I think it's the end of that era.
'But I don't know if Simon Cowell specifically has ended.'
Watch as Jade Thirlwall takes a swipe at Simon Cowell in debut solo single
Jade's debut solo track Angel Of My Dreams was a pointed dig at Simon and the music industry.
In the episode, which airs on ITV1 at 10pm this Sunday, another inquisitive fan referenced her part-Egyptian heritage before asking: 'Were the pyramids created by aliens?'
Suggesting she does believe there's something fishy about them, the It Girl singer said: 'I don't know if I'm qualified.
'I mean, something spectacular made them because if you watch those documentaries, we can't actually explain it right.
'And because they're dotted all over the world, not just Egypt, you've got them in Mexico.
'This pyramid shape, what does it mean?'
Alien Hunting with Jade Thirlwall, now that's a show ITV should commission.

But the photos and videos from her recent gigs have certainly been enough to make me go gaga for Gaga!

It's even more poignant for Sydnie as two of her great-grandfathers served in the war, while her great-uncles fought and died in France.

She is returning with a brand new album, Love In Real Life, this summer – three years after one of my favourite ever records, Special.
Lizzo said: 'I feel like my albums don't outshine my hits yet, and I really wanna create a body of work that is as good as the hit song.
'And I feel like a lot of people, they get hung up on Juice or Truth Hurts or Good As Hell.
'I want people to really get into the body [of work].
'I put so much of my heart and soul and time and musicality and, like, musical knowledge and instrumentation into these albums.
'The goal for this album is to be as loved as the biggest hit.'

A source close to the pair said: 'Roman and Tom are really great friends and although they've worked on a few things together before, they've never properly teamed up.
'They both have podcast experience and decided to come up with their own new show.
'Roman and Tom have a riot when they're together and they both bring out each other's fun sides.
'They are hoping to launch it later this summer before things kick off work wise for Tom with his arena tour, which is his biggest to date.'
TV's One Show presenter Roman has spent the past few weeks hanging out with his sister, country singer Harley Moon, as they took part in Celebrity Race Across The World.
The pair secretly filmed for the celebrity spin off of the BBC series in a mystery location where they went head-to-head with other stars to reach the final check point.
Tom is gearing up for his mammoth tour, which kicks off on September 3 in Bournemouth.
Before that the Little Bit Of Love singer has got a busy summer ahead with a huge performance at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Liverpool.
Tickets are still available for the Friday May 23 show, with Tom performing alongside Biffy Clyro, The Wombats and Natasha Bedingfield.

Justin Bieber could be placed in conservatorship by Hailey if she can prove 3 points to court amid his bizarre behavior
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) JUSTIN Bieber could be placed in a conservatorship by wife Hailey if she can prove three key points to the courts amid his concerning behavior, a legal expert has told The U.S. Sun. In recent weeks, the pop star has gone on bizarre rants and appeared incoherent in photographs and videos - leading many fans to believe it's time for Justin, 31, to seek help. "As a seasoned attorney, I'll say this bluntly: If Justin Bieber's recent behavior is as troubling as reported amidst erratic social media posts, visible signs of impairment, and statements hinting at isolation and emotional instability, then YES, a conservatorship could be considered,' powerhouse legal expert Jamie Wright exclusively told The U.S. Sun. However, the decision would not be made lightly, as the acclaimed lawyer made it clear that conservatorships are 'legal nuclear options.' 'In California, a conservatorship is a court-ordered plan where a designated person (conservator) is appointed to manage the affairs, personal care, or finances of an adult deemed unable to manage these on their own. 'This isn't just about being 'out of it' on Instagram. Courts require substantial medical evidence, and the bar is high. 'Especially post-Britney, with the public and legal community rightfully wary of abuses in the system,' Counselor Wright said of Britney Spears' unprecedented, and historic, conservatorship case. She went on to explain that in most conservatorship cases, the spouse or parent would have legal standing to file. However, in order for Hailey, 28, or Justin's mom, Pattie Mallette, to have a case, they would need to 'demonstrate that Justin is incapable of making rational decisions, poses a risk to himself or others — including his infant son, or is unable to manage his financial empire,' she claimed. 9 Justin Bieber sparks concern with a series of worrying selfies Credit: Instagram 9 The pop star lies on the concrete shirtless in bizarre social media posts Credit: Instagram 9 Many fans have been concerned over Justin's social media posts Credit: Instagram 'If a conservatorship were granted, it could have profound implications. Legally, Justin could lose control over decisions about his health, money, and even parental rights. 'Custody of his child could be questioned if there's evidence he's an unfit parent. 'It would certainly put pressure on his marriage with Hailey and would raise serious reputational questions that could derail future endorsements, brand partnerships, and touring plans. "He's young, powerful, and high-profile, so any conservatorship move would face intense public scrutiny and likely pushback," the attorney added. Wright 'But when safety, especially of a child, is on the line, no one is untouchable. If this situation escalates, the law will step in. 'Bottom line, no one wants to see another celebrity conservatorship saga play out — but if the signs are as serious as they seem, it's not out of the question," Counselor Wright stated. 'HE NEEDS HELP' Recently, Justin sparked concern with a series of comments he's made online - including openly discussing drug use and being "done with transactional relationships." Things escalated further when the Sorry singer took to his Instagram Stories, posting close-up selfies where many said he looked "unwell." One slide he shared this week featured a screenshot from an AI chat interface asking: 'Has ketamine been used to control people's emotions?' The AI chatbot allegedly answered: 'There is clear evidence that ketamine has been misused in certain law enforcement scenarios, particularly in ways that amount to chemical restraint or social control." In another slide, Justin superimposed text over a photo of himself looking defeated: 'This is how I feel after people keep telling me theres more work to do after the ive given everything I have to give.' Welcome Baby Bieber! Singer Justin Bieber and his wife, model Hailey Bieber, welcomed their first child in August 2024. The celebrity couple revealed that they were expecting in May when Hailey was already six months pregnant. The pair announced the birth on August 24, sharing their son's name, Jack Blues Bieber, for the first time. Justin shared a photo of Hailey's hand touching their newborn's foot, which was wrapped in a blanket. Fans immediately congratulated Hailey and Justin while pointing out the family connection of the name Jack. Justin's great-grandfather was Jack Arnold, and his father, Jeremy Bieber, has Jack as a middle name. He followed up with: 'I don't think any of us can handle hearing 'You just gotta try a little harder and you will be like me.' It's not true. "I listened to those fools who told me to work harder. And there's no end to trying to earn ur spot in this life because I tried. U have everything u need right now.' On another snap, he admitted: 'We wanna make our life about work so bad. But this life is about God. Loving us so we can love each other. Quit making ur life about work smh. God will always inspire u to wait to work hard. 'U think if you don't tell people to work hard that they won't. Stop playing God please.' Justin went on: 'Conditioning. Will make u feel i didn't know what the f*** u knew.' This cryptic post was followed by another black-and-white selfie with the caption: 'But I f***in always knew in my gut Jesus was always the answer to pain we are all facing. 'People still keep making me think If I work hard on myself I'll be better like them. But the harder I work on myself the more I think about myself. I though the point was to think about one another?' He finished with: 'The only thing that helps me to think about others to let go not try harder. Join me in letting go of not trying harder.' This follows reports that Justin is also facing great financial strain - allegedly owing his former manager, Scooter Braun, over $8 million, audits obtained by TMZ claim. 9 Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber are seen on February 06, 2025 in New York City Credit: GC Images 9 Justin Bieber holds billionaire wife Hailey Bieber's chest in cheeky snap after her $1 billion Rhode deal Credit: Instagram

Richard Madeley opens up on grief after father 'died on the spot'
Richard Madeley has opened up on the moment his father died, saying he 'had a heart attack on the spot' weeks after his wedding Good Morning Britain graced the telly again on Thursday (12 June), as presenters Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid served up another packed edition of the ITV breakfast programme. The dynamic duo delivered a raft of headlines and news updates to ITV audiences. They also welcomed Emmerdale's Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle, for a heartfelt live chat. Lisa talked about her character's current dramas in the soap, alongside touching on her personal battles with loss, mentioning the passing of both her mother and past Strictly Come Dancing partner Robin Windsor. This poignant discussion led Richard to share his own heart-wrenching memory of his dad's sudden demise in 1977, which occurred just days after he wed Lynda Hooley. Reflecting on that time, Richard shared: "I remember when my father died. He died on the spot, had a heart attack when he was 49. Huge shock. I was a breakfast producer then, a radio producer." He recounted the difficult period following his father's death: "I remember I had a week off to come to terms with it. After the funeral, I went in, and the guy that I worked with didn't say a word. He didn't say, 'how are you, or what happened', he obviously felt it was best not to talk about it." He continued, expressing understanding yet disagreement with his colleague's reaction: "I don't blame him for that. He couldn't have been more wrong. You want people to come up to you and talk to you. You need that trigger to talk." Moreover, Thursday's episode saw them join forces with their colleague Richard Arnold, who came bearing the latest scoops in showbiz and television, reports the Manchester Evening News. During his segment, Richard paid homage to the legendary musician Brian Wilson following the announcement of his passing on 11 June. Brian was a founding member of the iconic Beach Boys. The lead singer and co-founder of the band died at the age of 82, with his cause of death yet to be disclosed. "A real pop pioneer. He co-founded one of the most commercially successful bands of all time, the Beach Boys, rivalling The Beatles," Richard shared with his audience. He also reminisced about his own discovery of the Beach Boys back in the 1970s, admitting he played their records "constantly" and was "very much a Beach Boys fan".

Vicky Pattison terrified as she's overcome with ‘crippling anxiety, insomnia and dark thoughts' during PMDD episode
The star previously told how she was "fobbed off for years" by male doctors over her condition VICKY'S JOURNEY Vicky Pattison terrified as she's overcome with 'crippling anxiety, insomnia and dark thoughts' during PMDD episode VICKY Pattison has bravely revealed how she was left terrified after she was overcome with "crippling anxiety, insomnia and dark thoughts" during her latest PMDD episode. The former Geordie Shore star, 37, has often spoken out about her experience of the chronic health condition, in a bid to help other people who also suffer. Advertisement 5 Vicky Pattison opened up about her recent PMDD episode which saw her have 'dark thoughts' Credit: Instagram 5 Vicky revealed how bloated she gets during an episode Credit: Instagram 5 Vicky wanted to share the highs and lows of her life with PMDD Credit: Getty Vicky has been very honest about the mental health aspect of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Last night, she shared a very open and honest video about how the condition affects her life for one week of every month. In the video she showed the bad times during a PMDD episode, and also the extreme highs that she feels. Vicky was also seen revealing how bloated her stomach gets during her times of pain. Advertisement In parts of the video she is crying, while others she is dancing. In her lengthy, emotional caption, Vicky wrote: "he highs & lows of PMDD. "It's always a bit of a mixed bag with my PMDD- some months aren't so bad & I feel hopeful. "And other months it just completely takes me out & I feel hopeless. Usually there's no real rhyme or reason. Advertisement "But last month I knew I was in for a bit of a rough ride- I hadn't done anything that I know helps alleviate my symptoms. I hadn't been consistent with my supplements, my diet was atrocious & my schedule was just unrelenting so I went into my luteal phase not really standing a chance. "But despite my concerns, nothing could have prepared me. It was terrifying." Former winner Vicky Pattinson sends I'm A Celeb cast a warning about life after the jungle - as they arrive back in UK Vicky then went onto detail how much her PMDD had affected her last month. "I rang my sister and told her that I didn't know what I was going to do - that I genuinely didn't know what I was capable of," she told fans. Advertisement "And after a week of crippling anxiety, insomnia, my inner critic finding fault at every turn & dark thoughts...I know I meant it." Continuing she said: "And that's the thing with PMDD, one week you're this bright, shiny, brilliant woman who is strong, smart & ready for anything life throws at you.. & then your PMDD fog sets in and your brain convinces you that you're worthless." What is PMDD? Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a severe and chronic medical condition that affects a small percent of people who menstruate. It is a more intense form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and is characterised by a range of emotional, mental, and physical symptoms that can significantly disrupt daily life. Unlike PMS, which might cause mild discomfort or irritability, PMDD symptoms can be debilitating and often require medical attention. The exact cause of PMDD is not fully understood, but it is believed to be linked to hormonal changes that occur during the menstrual cycle, particularly fluctuations in oestrogen and progesterone. These hormonal shifts can affect neurotransmitters in the brain, such as serotonin, which plays a critical role in mood regulation. Genetic factors may also contribute to the development of PMDD, as the disorder tends to run in families. Symptoms of PMDD typically appear in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle, which is the time between ovulation and the start of menstruation. Common symptoms include severe mood swings, depression, irritability, anxiety, and feelings of hopelessness. Physical symptoms can also manifest, such as fatigue, bloating, breast tenderness, and headaches. These symptoms usually subside once menstruation begins, providing temporary relief until the next cycle. Treatment for PMDD often involves a combination of lifestyle changes, medication, and therapy. Lifestyle adjustments, such as regular exercise, a balanced diet, and adequate sleep, can help manage symptoms. Medications like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and hormonal treatments may also be prescribed to alleviate the disorder's impact. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) can be beneficial in addressing the emotional and psychological aspects of PMDD, offering coping strategies and support. But Vicky added: "I'm telling this story, not for sympathy, but because I know I'm not alone. "I want anyone dealing with PMDD, anyone feeling the things I did last month to know that you are not alone and regardless of what your brain is telling you - you are an incredible person & world is better for having you in it. Advertisement "The fog, the darkness & the depression will pass and in its place will be beautiful moments, happiness, success, pure unfiltered JOY! Advertisement She told ITV's Good Morning Britain the condition made you feel 'the world would be a better place without you in it'. She added: 'For five years I was dismissed. I was made to feel ashamed. "For the majority of the time it was men. 'I think they lack an understanding and empathy towards what we're going through as women. Advertisement "They are not given the correct, I think, information, education to be able to treat a woman going through what those women are." Vicky also admitted her "depressed and hopeless" state of mind shortly prior to her wedding this year, as the condition took hold.
