More than 209,000 students to attend Tawjihi exam halls tomorrow Tomorrow, Thursday, marks the start of the first session of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) for the year 2025, with the participation of 209,871 candidates, including 147,461 regular students and 62,410 private study students. اضافة اعلان In the first session, 163,629 candidates will sit for the Islamic Education exam, which is a unified exam paper for all branches of academic and vocational education. The candidates are distributed among the education branches as follows: 89,634 in the Scientific branch, 94,232 in the Literary branch, 200 in the Sharia branch, 9,059 in the Industrial branch, 4,701 in the Agricultural branch, 2,021 in the Hotel and Tourism branch, and 10,024 in the Home Economics branch. The exam will be held in 826 schools across the directorates of education, while the number of grading centers totals 38, distributed throughout all the governorates of the Kingdom. One hundred sixty-two candidates will take the exam in correctional and rehabilitation centers and juvenile centers distributed across 15 centers. Additionally, 27 candidates will sit the exam at the King Hussein Cancer Center. Furthermore, 658 candidates with disabilities will participate in the exam. The first exam session will begin at 10:00 AM, while the second session will start at 1:00 PM. Dr. Nawaf Al-Ajarmeh, Secretary-General of the Ministry for Educational Affairs, stated that the ministry's teams at the central and field levels have worked to prepare an appropriate exam environment, including providing suitable seating, water, ventilation, and good lighting in the exam halls. Dr. Al-Ajarmeh also pointed out that preparations took into account the needs of students with disabilities, ensuring easy access to exam halls located on the ground floor, providing corridors in accordance with their building codes, and meeting other requirements for a suitable exam environment for each type of disability. The ministry has established operations rooms at both the central and field levels to receive feedback and inquiries regarding exam procedures from students, teachers, parents, and all staff involved in conducting the exam. He highlighted that the ministry organizes this exam efficiently and effectively in partnership and coordination with supporting institutions, including the Ministry of Interior and its various departments, the Ministry of Health, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, the Armed Forces – Jordanian Army, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and media outlets. Dr. Al-Ajarmeh urged students to arrive at exam halls before the scheduled time, focus on their studies, and avoid paying attention to any rumors about the exam, instead obtaining accurate information from official sources. He also emphasized the necessity of adhering to exam regulations, including the prohibition of bringing mobile phones into the exam halls. The ministry has circulated exam procedures and instructions to all directorates of education and the staff responsible for conducting the exams. The ministry renewed its confidence in its staff responsible for administering the exam as planned, appreciating the great efforts exerted during preparation and exam days. The ministry issued several messages and guidelines for exam candidates to ensure smooth exam conduct, including arriving at the exam hall one hour before the start of the session. The guidelines require every candidate to bring their civil status ID or passport for Jordanian candidates, passport for non-Jordanians, and security ID for Syrian candidates without passports daily when taking exams. Candidates are warned not to bring any of the following into the exam hall: mobile phones, smart watches, or any type of pens, to avoid administrative penalties for violators. Candidates are also instructed to leave all exam-related materials such as stickers, scraps of paper, etc., outside the exam hall, and to verify the exam schedule, subjects, and time allocated for each exam, adhering strictly to the regulations. The ministry stated that the allocated time for each exam subject will be sufficient and confirmed the continuation of adding 10 extra minutes to each exam paper to compensate for time lost during paper distribution.
