AC/DC Announce Homecoming Australian Tour For November 2025
The tour announcement follows months of speculation and rumours, which were all but confirmed when a giant display of the band's signature thunderbolt went up in Melbourne over the weekend, accompanied by the neon red text 'Are you ready?' – an allusion to the band's 1991 single. Joining the tour as main support will be Melbourne's own Amyl & The Sniffers, who recently had to move the date of their headlining show at London's Alexandra Palace (AKA Ally Pally) forward a few weeks from the original date of Friday, November 15th. Although no official reason was given for the rescheduling at the time, today's reveal officially explains why the show was moved to late October.
The Rock Or Bust tour in 2015 was the band's first Australian tour without rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, who had retired the year before and had been replaced by his nephew Stevie. The tour also took place without longtime drummer Phil Rudd, who had been arrested in New Zealand the year prior following a police raid on his house. He was replaced on the entire Rock Or Bust world tour by English drummer Chris Slade, who had replaced Rudd previously between 1989 and 1994.
The band fell into further disarray in the second half of the 2010s, with frontman Brian Johnson having to shockingly depart due to developing life-threatening tinnitus from years as a motorsports enthusiast. He was replaced by Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose for the remainder of the tour. At the end of the tour in 2016, bassist Cliff Williams announced his retirement from touring. The following year, Malcolm Young passed away following a years-long battle with dementia.
In 2020, it was revealed that both Johnson and Rudd had officially rejoined the Youngs and Williams. Power Up, their 17th album, was released that November. The band ultimately returned to the stage in 2023 for the Power Trip festival in Indio, California – normally the home site of Coachella – with Johnson once again fronting the band and Williams returning for the one-off show. Rudd, while still an official member, was unable to travel and was replaced by drummer Matt Laug.
Since 2024, the band's touring line-up has consisted of Johnson, the Youngs, Laug and former Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney (not to be confused with The Living End's Chris Cheney) – who officially serves as Williams' touring stand-in following Williams' return to retirement.

Friday, November 21st – Accor Stadium, Sydney NSW
Sunday, November 30th – Adelaide Street Circuit, Adelaide SA
Thursday, December 4th – Optus Stadium, Perth WA
Sunday, December 14th – Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane QLD
There will be no pre-sale for the tour. Instead, all tickets will go on sale on Thursday, June 26th at staggered local times: 9am for Sydney, 10am for Adelaide, 11am for Brisbane and 1pm for both Perth and Melbourne. All ticketing links can be accessed via tour promoter Teg Van Edmond.

Interior designer slams The Block team's 'fall from grace': 'Disappointing'
They may have won last week's room reveal with their impressive bathroom, but Robby and Mat failed to please the judges in Sunday night's episode of The Block with their kids' bedrooms. The best mates received a score of 20.5 out of 30, with Marty Fox comparing their second room to an 'upmarket nursing home'. 'Boys, what have you done?' Shaynna Blaze questioned upon seeing their custom-made bedhead and minimal kid-friendly styling. 'It's gone to a very old styling aesthetic.' RELATED: The Block's 2026 location accidentally revealed after $11 million deal The Block 2025 producers make major change after fan demand: 'Baffling' The Block host calls out 2024 cast after dramatic season: 'Deeply affected' It's not just the show's judges who have criticised their rooms, with Chris Carroll, director of TLC Interiors, telling Yahoo Lifestyle that he believes House 5 had a 'disappointing' week. 'Robby and Mat had the biggest fall from grace between week one and two. Some teams are better at designing wet rooms but flounder when it comes to designing and styling living spaces and bedrooms. I hope this isn't the case for the boys,' he shares. 'It has to be said, though; there's barely one positive thing you can say about either of their spaces.'The Block's Robby and Mat's kids bedroom reveal These images were originally published on Photo: Channel 9 'They deserved the win' As for this week's winners, House 3's Britt and Taz, who received a score of 28 from the judges, Chris declares that they had 'one of the best kids' rooms The Block has seen in recent years'. 'From the neutral colour palette to the patterned wallpaper, it was packed with charm,' he details. 'It ticked all the boxes; a room a kid would like, a space a buyer can appreciate, and most importantly, it could easily convert into a guest bedroom without having to make major design changes. They deserved the win for that room alone.' Chris adds that his biggest tip for viewers thinking of renovating a kids' bedroom is to consider the longevity of the design. 'The best approach is to lock in a theme, but keep the shell of the room fairly versatile,' he says. 'Kids change their interests so quickly, so you're better off going wild with smaller elements like artwork and quilt cover sets, removable wallpaper and/or decals. 'Keep walls, floors, window coverings and pendant lights timeless. That way you won't be spending buckets of money completely redoing the room every five years.' Which team has the best style? While it's still early days on this year's season of The Block, Chris shares that House 1's Emma and Ben are 'showing the most promise'. 'They're not afraid to be bold; taking risks with colour, pattern and texture all while ensuring the rooms remain aspirational but approachable,' he remarks. NEED TO KNOW The Melbourne Zoo in Australia just welcomed its first baby giraffe in nearly 20 years Female giraffe Nakuru gave birth following a 460-day pregnancy on Aug. 1 The zoo is giving Nakuru and her new baby calf time to bond before allowing guests to visit the latest addition to the herdA zoo in Australia just welcomed its first baby giraffe in nearly 20 years. 'We're thrilled to announce the birth of a giraffe at Melbourne Zoo, the first calf to be born at the zoo in almost 20 years,' Zoos Victoria — the official page for the Melbourne Zoo — wrote in an announcement shared on Facebook on Aug. 4, along with a video of the baby giraffe. The baby boy — who does not yet have a name — was born to first-time mom Nakuru on Aug. 1, following a 460-day pregnancy, per News 7 Australia. Zookeeper Luke Hausler told the outlet that Nakuru was in labor for about an hour and a half. 'We were all very excited when we saw the first signs that she was getting ready to give birth,' he said, adding that zoo staff were 'pretty relieved' that everything went smoothly and that they are 'excited to grow the herd.' Zoo staff gathered to watch the birth over a live stream and cheered when the calf finally arrived, per a video of the moment shared by the outlet. The zoo said that they are currently giving Nakuru and her new baby privacy to bond, and that they will inform the public as soon as the newest addition to the zoo's family is ready for visitors, per the Facebook post. The birth of the new calf was also significant for giraffe conservation efforts in Australia. Giraffes are currently listed as 'vulnerable' on the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List. This means that, while not endangered as a whole, several giraffe subspecies are at risk. Out of eight assessed subspecies, two are considered endangered, while an additional two are considered critically endangered — meaning the animals face an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild. The Kordofan giraffe has lost 90% of its population since the 1980s, and the Nubian giraffe has lost 98%, per the IUCN. The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! The IUCN also notes that giraffes are poached for their bones, and states that there is 'a significant amount of international trade in carvings and trophies' made from them. The Block's 2026 location accidentally revealed after $11 million deal
The Block's next location has been revealed after show regulars accidentally exposed the location of the $11m development site. The 2026 season appears to be taking place in the Mornington Peninsula, according to The location is at 109 Old Mornington Rd, Mt Eliza, to be exact. The show's preferred architects, Nine in Six (who have worked on the show for 10 seasons), were seen in the area having coffee in branded shirts. After the sale, it seems like all signs are pointing to it as The Block's new location. This year's season is currently taking place in Daylesford. The $11m property was sold by former racing driver and Porsche enthusiast Rusty French, who purchased the site for $2.8m in 2007 and has been trying to sell it since 2016. His more recent sales campaign included a subdivision of 10 blocks of land, with development plans that would have homes built with features like swimming pools and luxury finishes to complement the water views. It's unknown, however, if the show will change those designs before they shoot. Six of the ten blocks have been marked as sold, while four are still up for sale, however, it's believed that The Block might have leased the remaining four sites for the duration of filming, which would allow for extra space for production.
