A BIKER who died in a horror crash with a van on a Scots road has been named by cops.
Julien Marchand, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene after a Ford Transit Luton van collided with his Triumph Tiger motorcycle on the A819 near Tullich, Aberdeenshire, on Friday, May 23.
The driver of the van was uninjured.
Police officers closed the road for around 10 hours following the tragedy.
The force is continuing to carry out investigations into the circumstances surrounding Julien's death.
They are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Kenneth Malaney said: 'Our thoughts remain with Julien's family and friends as they come to terms with their loss.
'Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash are ongoing and we are asking anyone who have any information to contact police.
'If you can assist our enquires in any way, please contact police on 101, quoting incident 2380 of 23 May 2025.'
Elsewhere, an elderly woman has died after being involved in a horror two-vehicle crash.
The fatal smash happened on the A75 between Gretna and Stranraer, near Skyreburn, Dumfries and Galloway, yesterday.
Four people who died when their car careered up a pavement and ploughed into a building are said to have been students returning from a night out
Meanwhile, a Scots park was sealed off by cops after a woman was allegedly attacked.
Officers raced to Bent Park in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, after the alarm was raised last night just before midnight.

A man has been charged after a 'stolen' Amazon delivery van was involved in a high-speed chase with police in Kilmarnock. Officers received reports that a Ford Transit delivery van had been nicked from the North Hamilton Street area in the town at around 1.10pm on Sunday. ‌ Police identified the vehicle but the driver failed to stop for cops on nearby Portland Street. ‌ A pursuit took place around the town centre during which the van was involved in a collision with a police car. The van was eventually brought to a stop by cops on the A71 at Kilmarnock. A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday. Images shared with the Record showed the Amazon van stopped at the side of the road following the incident. A number of uniformed police could be seen in attendance.
