Julien Marchand, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene after a Ford Transit Luton van collided with his Triumph Tiger motorcycle on the A819 near Tullich, Aberdeenshire, on Friday, May 23. The driver of the van was uninjured. Police officers closed the road for around 10 hours following the tragedy. The force is continuing to carry out investigations into the circumstances surrounding Julien's death. They are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. Sergeant Kenneth Malaney said: 'Our thoughts remain with Julien's family and friends as they come to terms with their loss. 'Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash are ongoing and we are asking anyone who have any information to contact police. 'If you can assist our enquires in any way, please contact police on 101, quoting incident 2380 of 23 May 2025.' Elsewhere, an elderly woman has died after being involved in a horror two-vehicle crash. The fatal smash happened on the A75 between Gretna and Stranraer, near Skyreburn, Dumfries and Galloway, yesterday. Four people who died when their car careered up a pavement and ploughed into a building are said to have been students returning from a night out Meanwhile, a Scots park was sealed off by cops after a woman was allegedly attacked. Officers raced to Bent Park in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, after the alarm was raised last night just before midnight.

The incident took place at around 4.05pm on Friday, 23 May on the A819 near Tullich when emergency services were called to a report of a crash involving a Triumph Tiger motorcycle and a Ford Transit Luton van. ‌ The rider of the motorcycle, 48-year-old Julian, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time. ‌ The driver of the van was uninjured. The road was closed for around 10 hours to allow for investigations to take place. Sergeant Kenneth Malaney said: 'Our thoughts remain with Julien's family and friends as they come to terms with their loss. It comes as another biker was killed when his Sherco 290 bike crashed in Auchinleck, Ayrshire, shortly after midnight on Saturday, May 24. Police named him as 34-year-old Kris Leitch. Emergency services were called to the scene on the A819 near Tullich around 4.05pm on Friday, May 23, following a collision involving a Triumph Tiger motorcycle and a Ford Transit Luton van. ‌ Tragically, Julien, the rider of the motorbike, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van was not injured. ‌ Julien's devastated family have asked for privacy as they come to terms with their loss. The road was closed for around 10 hours to allow for a full crash i nvestigation to be carried out. Another biker called Kris Leitch died in a crash in Ayrshire the next day. The 34-year-old was the rider of a blue and white Sherco 290 motorcycle. He crashed on Main Street, Auchinleck, at around 2.25am on Saturday, May 24. ‌ He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for around six hours to allow for investigations to take place. Kris' family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time. ‌ Sergeant Brian Simpson said: 'Our thoughts remain with Kris's family and friends as they come to terms with their terrible loss. 'Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash are ongoing and we are asking anyone who saw the motorbike prior to the crash, or has any dashcam footage, to please contact police.
