Cross Season 2: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far
The crime thriller Cross , based on James Patterson's famous Alex Cross novels, has fans seriously hyped for its second season. After a nail-biting first season on Amazon Prime Video, everyone's itching to jump back into the world of forensic psychologist and detective Alex Cross. Season 2 has already wrapped filming, so the excitement is building. Here's what we know so far about the release date, cast, and what to expect from the new episodes — all the good stuff to get you ready. When's Cross Season 2 Coming Out?
There's no official premiere date yet, but since filming finished in October 2024, post-production is probably in full swing. Looking at how Amazon usually rolls out shows and the timing from Season 1, a mid-to-late 2025 release feels like the best bet. Some reports are guessing fall 2025, maybe November, which would line up nicely with when Season 1 dropped. Who's Back and Who's New in Cross Season 2 Cast?
Season 2 will bring back the familiar faces we loved, along with some fresh characters who promise to shake things up. Aldis Hodge returns as Alex Cross
Isaiah Mustafa is back as John Sampson
Samantha Walkes continues as Elle Monteiro
Johnny Ray Gill moves up to series regular as Bobby Trey
Alona Tal returns as FBI agent Kayla Craig
Plus, the Cross family is back — Juanita Jennings, Melody Hurd, and Caleb Elijah bring the emotional heart with Regina, Janelle, and Damon Cross.
On the new side: Matthew Lillard plays Lance
Jeanine Mason joins as Rebecca
Wes Chatham appears as Donnie Plot Details: What to Expect in Cross Season 2
Cross Season 2, titled Bitter Fruit , won't directly adapt a James Patterson novel but will build on the original storyline from Season 1. The first season ended with Alex Cross taking down the 'Fanboy' killer, Ed Ramsey, and neutralizing a threat to his family from Miss Nancy. However, loose ends—like Bobby Trey's testimony and a larger conspiracy—set the stage for a darker, twist-filled season.
Here's what's known about the plot so far:
A New Case: A fresh murderer takes center stage, distinct from the 'Fanboy' killer. Watkins told Entertainment Weekly the new killer's world will feel 'fun and refreshing,' with a unique vibe compared to Season 1's Hero Complex .
Deeper Conspiracy: Bobby Trey's cooperation with authorities could expose powerful figures tied to Ramsey's crimes, hinting at a broader network of corruption.
Kayla Craig's Mystery: The Season 1 finale's post-credits scene suggested FBI agent Kayla Craig might have hidden motives. Is she connected to the book series' villain Kyle Craig? Watkins isn't spilling, but her role will spark questions.
Personal Struggles: Alex Cross continues to grapple with his wife's murder, which was partially resolved in Season 1. His emotional journey will deepen, exploring what makes a 'monster,' as Walkes hinted to TV Insider.
Character Twists: Mustafa warned that Season 2 will flip what fans know about key characters, revealing new sides to Cross, Sampson, and others. Expect shocking revelations and emotional depth.
Basically, Season 2 looks like it'll be a wild ride — packed with fresh mysteries, emotional depth, and plenty of unexpected twists to keep you hooked.

'Big Brother' host Julie Chen Moonves reacts to Zach's big blunder (exclusive)
The Chenbot also names her choice in punishment costumes. Each week, Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves will weigh in on the latest events inside the house exclusively with Entertainment Weekly. This week, she reacts to Zach not using his power that could have kept him safe, Keanu's slow and steady competition approach, Mickey's power play, and the Veto punishment costumes. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Julie, Zach could have taken himself off the bock by giving up his $10,000, and said he didn't do it because he did not want another player who did not even vote for him to stay to have to go on the block in his place. Thoughts? JULIE CHEN MOONVES: This shows how in the BB house you truly never know who your friends are! This is a classic example of what getting blindsided in the game means! Keanu seems to be moving slow in some of these competitions, and then goes and wins anyway. What is going on with that guy? He is a thinker and a strategizer! Grace under fire. He doesn't panic and he thinks every step through. He's methodical. He's a D&D Master. And it shows! Mickey told Ashley she could control the vote this week. Who do think holds the most power in the house right now? I think Vince. This guy has the majority of the house under his spell. He has the gift of gab and making people feel safe with him and like they can trust him. Finally, if forced to choose one outfit to wear for the week, would you go for the BUTT-ler or the Hard Boiled Detective? Ha! That's an over-easy choice! The egg-cellent egg costume, of course. It looks way more comfortable, no serving and cooking involved, and easier to sit in. Plus, it looks cozy. You can take a nap in it. Also, no worries about how much you want to eat. Makes elastic waistbands look like child's play! Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly

FALLOUT Season 2 Poster Takes The Crew to New Vegas — GeekTyrant
Amazon Prime Video has released the first poster for Fallout Season 2, and it gives fans a look at where the story is headed next. The image reveals Lucy (Ella Purnell), the Ghoul (Walton Goggins), Maximus (Aaron Moten), and Dogmeat walking across a sun-scorched desert, with the glowing skyline of New Vegas looming in the distance. The poster teases the big location and sets the tone for what's to come. The silhouette of the crew against a massive "Welcome to New Vegas" sign confirms that Fallout Season 2 is diving headfirst into the world introduced in Obsidian Entertainment's beloved RPG Fallout: New Vegas . That game took players through the Mojave Wasteland in a power-struggle-filled journey to deliver a mysterious device called the Platinum Chip. Now, Amazon's series is stepping into that same radioactive sandbox. Season 1 of the series ended with Lucy discovering the dark truth about her father and heading out into the unknown with the Ghoul in tow. The new poster makes it clear where that road leads. New Vegas is a narrative goldmine filled with political factions, wild characters, and dangerous mysteries. Some other cast members include Macaulay Culkin, who is said to be playing a 'crazy genius-type' character, Leslie Uggams is back as Betty, and Anthony Misiano might even be reprising the role of Mr. House—first teased in Season 1. Fallout Season 2 is confirmed to appear at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19, where a teaser trailer is expected to drop. So, stay tuned for that!

'Game of Thrones 'siblings Sophie Turner and Kit Harington were 'retching' after shooting movie kiss scene: 'It was vile'
The pair are set to play lovers in the upcoming gothic horror, "The Dreadful." After years of starring as half-siblings for eight seasons of Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington were both seriously grossed out playing lovers in their upcoming gothic horror film, The Dreadful. The actress, who played the Queen of the North Sansa Stark on the hit HBO fantasy series, explained on Thursday's episode of Late Night that both she and Harington, who starred as Jon Snow, felt sick to their stomaches after shooting their first kiss scene together for the film. 'We get on set and it's the first kissing scene and we are both retching,' Turner revealed. 'Like, really, it is vile. It was the worst. Another really bad moment in my career.' Written and directed by Natasha Kermani, The Dreadful follows outsider Anne (Turner) as her life is turned upside down after the arrival of a mysterious man from her past. Turner, who also serves as a producer on the film, explained earlier in the interview that she knew right away that Harington was the perfect person to play Anne's lover Jago — but hadn't exactly realized what their characters' romance would require of them. 'I just got this script for this amazing Gothic horror called The Dreadful and I was reading through all the characters and I'm producing it so the director was asking me, 'Who do you think?'' She recalled. 'And immediately the first person I thought of was Kit.' So, naturally, she sent the script Harington's way and received an interested, but slightly hesitant, response in return. 'He kind of sent me a message back going like, 'Yeah, I'd love to, but this is going to be really f---ing weird, Soph,'' Turner recalled. 'And I was like, 'What is he talking about?' And then I was reading it and I'm like, kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex, and then I'm like, 'Oh, shoot, that's my brother.'' In the end, the pair decided that it was 'such a good script' that they couldn't let the idea of having to play lovers throw them off. She added, 'He was like, 'We kind of have to do it.'' That didn't make the reality of having to actually kiss one another any easier, though. When asked by host Seth Meyers if kissing Harington was worse than being covered in real-life cockroaches for her new film Trust, Turner admitted, "Yeah. Yeah, it was. I have to be honest, it was bad.' Watch Turner discuss kissing Harington — and accidentally ending a couple's engagement at a party — in the clip above.
