
Saudi Arabia and Morocco emphasize keenness on strengthening cooperation across various realms

MAKKAH — The 14th session of the Saudi-Moroccan Joint Committee, held in Makkah on Wednesday, emphasized its commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries across various fields so as to further elevate their strong relations.
Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita co-chaired the meeting, attended by senior officials from ministries, government agencies, and private sector institutions from both sides.
The convening of the meeting reaffirmed the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Morocco and aimed to boost cooperation in all areas of common interest. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the distinguished level of relations between the two countries and praised the efforts of the entities involved in the committee's work to meet the aspirations of both leaderships.
The two sides signed a joint customs cooperation agreement for mutual recognition of the Authorized Economic Operator program and a memorandum of understanding in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Dr. Saud Al-Sati, Saudi Ambassador to Morocco Dr. Sami Al-Saleh, Deputy Governor of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority for Operations Affairs Abdullah Al-Sadhan, Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for International Affairs Dr. Tariq Al-Hamad, CEO of the General Organization for the Conservation of Coral Reefs and Turtles in the Red Sea Dr. Khaled Mohammed Isfahani, and Director General of the Secretariats of Councils and Committees Eng. Fahd Al-Harthi.
