Here are the top five Institutes in the NIRF rankings and about their data science courses or departments.
NIT Tiruchirappalli has no separate course or department on data science in undergraduate; however, in the postgraduate, they do have a branch named data analysis. Admission to undergraduate programmes at NIT Trichy, including BTech. and BArch., are conducted through a centralized process based on performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), which is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Candidates must qualify in JEE Main and meet the eligibility criteria based on their Class 12 results. Seat allocation is managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), which oversees admissions to NITs, IITs, IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). After the JoSAA rounds, any remaining vacant seats are filled through special rounds conducted by the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). For more details, candidates can refer to the official websites of JEE Main, JoSAA, and CSAB.
