Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku has been lined up as a replacement for Kingsley Coman, who is set to join Al-Nassr from Bayern Munich, according to L'Equipe. The Blues have been looking for takers in their desperate attempt to offload the France international, and Bayern could finally take him off their hands. The Bundesliga champions are set to sell Coman to Al-Nassr. They're poised to recoup a €30 million fee for the Frenchman who has agreed a three-year deal with the Saudi Pro League giants. Bayern are poised to plough those funds into bringing Nkunku back to Germany after a frustrating spell in London. The Bavarians have already raided Liverpool for an attacking player after snapping up Luis Diaz in a €75m deal. Bayern director of football Max Eberl is reportedly a huge fan of Nkunku, who is open to the idea of returning to Germany. The German giants have pursued Nkunku before. Personal terms were agreed during the January transfer window, but the move stalled when Chelsea refused to drop their €70 million asking price. After failing to drum up interest from other clubs, Chelsea have been forced to drop their demands to around €50m. Nkunku isn't the only Chelsea star on Bayern's radar. Out-of-favour striker Nicolas Jackson has also been linked with a move to the Allianz Arena. The Senegal striker has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after falling down the pecking order following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Man United striker Ethan Wheatley has completed a loan move to Northampton Town, while there has been a 'positive' update on their pursuit of Benjamin Sesko in the summer transfer window. The Cobblers announced on Friday morning that Wheatley, 19, will spend the 2025/26 campaign with the League One side. He has made three Premier League appearances for United in the past and spen the second half of last season on loan with Walsall. Man United 'frontrunners' for Sesko following 'positive' transfer talks Meanwhile, Man United have had their hopes of signing Sesko boosted following 'positive talks' this week, with Ben Jacobs reporting that they are the 'frontrunners' for his signature. Newcastle United are also interested in signing the forward. It is claimed that Sesko is 'keen' on a move to Old Trafford this summer, despite a lack of European football next season. Newcastle 'fear' that they will lose out on the 22-year-old 'despite remaining in talks' over a possible deal. However, any potential transfer is 'still complicated by Leipzig's asking price', as Arsenal discovered when they enquired about Sesko. The Gunners instead signed Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. US winger Kevin Paredes hit by another injury setback with Wolfsburg
WOLFSBURG, Germany (AP) — United States winger Kevin Paredes is facing another spell on the sidelines with a foot injury at Wolfsburg after missing almost all of last season. The German club said Tuesday that Paredes had undergone successful surgery the day before on his foot and would be out 'for the time being.' The 22-year-old Virginia-born Paredes was a rising star for Wolfsburg and the U.S. after making his national team debut in 2023 but injuries have affected his development. Paredes only played twice in the Bundesliga last season after a foot injury sidelined him for months.
