Sushmita Sen was allegedly molested by THIS actor while shooting an intimate scene, walked away from the set in tears, never worked with him again, his name is...
Bollywood actress Sushmita Seen was last seen on the big screen in Boss alongside Akshay Kumar. Since then, she has successfully transitioned to OTT platforms, earning acclaim for her powerpact performances in popular shows like Aarya and Taali . Known for being strongly opinionated and voicing up for the right, the actress one stood up for herself and stormed off the set after filming an intimate scene with actor Mithun Chakraborty, accusing him of inappropriate behaviour.
The controversy occurred on the sets of Chingaari (2006), when Mithun Chakraborty got carried away while filming an intimate scene with Sushmita, leading to palpable friction between the two. Rumours surfaced that Sushmita walked away, crying, after Mithun touched her inappropriately. She also reported the problem to director Kalpana G. Lajmi, who assured her that it was just a misunderstanding.
Sources later claimed that Sushmita reconsidered the situation, and felt that things just blew out of proportion. She, then resolved the matter privately with Mithun. However, none of them have ever addressed the matter publicly or confirmed this incident.
Another controversy that surrounded around the film Chingaari involved Sushmita and newcomer Anuj Sawhney, who played a postman in love with Sushmita's character, a sex worker. During the promotional phase, Anuj reportedly boasted about her kissing sequence with her, claiming that it took 36 retakes. The remarks enraged Sushmita and she refused to promote the film at all. Director Kalpana revealed losing out two months of publicity due to the ongoing rift.

Anuj eventually apologised Sushmita for his behaviour, which director acknowledged his mistake publicly. While she felt why Sushmita felt bad about Anuj remarks, she admitted feeling disappointed as the director and how the whole film was being publicised. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Kalpana shared, 'I don't think that a film like Chingari should be publicised in such a manner. I felt extremely hurt when Anuj gave importance to the kiss sequence rather than the whole message behind the film.'
Controversises aside, when Sushmita was asked about her experience of portraying Basanti in Chingaari, she said it was emotionally taxing. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, the actress said that playing a sex worker took a toll on her psyche, leaving her feeling uneasy and emotionally drained.

Samar Khan says Kay Kay Menon's viral clip from 'Shaurya' was taken out of context: ‘It's like calling Gabbar Singh from Sholay a hero'

Filmmaker Samar Khan is all set to return to the spotlight with 'Chhal Kapat – The Deception', a murder mystery premiering on OTT on June 6. His 2008 release 'Shaurya' continues to remain in the spotlight after a courtroom scene featuring Kay Kay Menon went viral online. However, the video was taken out of context—something Samar has never liked to address. Nonetheless, he has now opened up about the intention behind the scene and how it went viral with a completely different interpretation. Kay Kay Menon's scene from Shaurya 00:59 Any Director Can Make Mistakes, I Choose Roles Based On Scripts: Kay Kay Menon On Picking Shekhar Home Shaurya is a courtroom drama starring Rahul Bose, Kay Kay Menon, Minissha Lamba, Deepak Dobriyal, and Jaaved Jaaferi. The film made waves for its powerful themes and explosive climax. At the centre of the storm was a searing monologue delivered by Kay Kay Menon's character, Brigadier Rudra Pratap Singh. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Khan expressed his discomfort over how the essence of the film has been misrepresented online. He admitted that he had outgrown Shaurya many years ago but still feels proud of the film. 'But what people make of it is out of my control. People ask me about it on Twitter and other platforms, but I never respond. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like This Device Made My Power Bill Drop Overnight elecTrick - Save upto 80% on Power Bill Pre-Order Undo Anything I say would be taken out of context,' he shared. Samar about clickbait culture The clip featuring Rudra's monologue is often portrayed as a moment of righteous heroism. But for Khan, this popular interpretation completely misses the point. 'Unfortunately, many of those who share that scene haven't watched the scenes before or after. It's like isolating Gabbar Singh from Sholay and calling him a hero. Villains often come off as more attractive. Even with someone like Shah Rukh Khan , who has done countless romantic roles, people still remember him for Darr or Baazigar. As creators, we have to detach ourselves from how our work is received or reinterpreted,' he explained. He didn't hold back while discussing the role social media plays in reshaping narratives. He called it a clickbait culture driven by short attention spans. About Samar's recent production venture Chhal Kapat 'Chhal Kapat – The Deception' is directed by Ajay Bhuyan and features Shriya Pilgaonkar, Kamya Ahlawat, Ragini Dwivedi, Tuhina Das, Yahhve Sharma, Pranay Pachauri, Smaran Sahu, and Anuj Sachdeva in key roles. (Also read: Housefull 5A and 5B difference explained: Why the Akshay Kumar film has two versions and which one should you watch) The report states that Housefull 5 had an overall 23.29% Hindi Occupancy on Friday. Will the film beat the opening day collections of its previous installment in the franchise, Housefull 4? Released in 2019, the Akshay Kumar-release had collected ₹19.08 crore. So far, the Housefull 5 opening day collections have already outscored the day 1 haul of Akshay's January release Sky Force ( ₹11.50 crore). Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's production banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the comedy stars an ensemble cast that includes Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, Johny Lever, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chunky Panday, Dino Morea, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma. It is directed by Tarun Mansukhani. The film revolves around a murder on a cruise ship. A wealthy billionaire (Ranjeet) is murdered shortly after he announces he will leave his wealth to his successor Jolly. The twist is that there are three Jollys on the cruise - Akshay, Riteish, and Abhishek. Along with them, their girlfriends are all suspects in the murder. An excerpt from the Hindustan Times review of the film read, 'Akshay knows exactly what's expected of him. This is classic Akshay comedy territory, and he makes even the flat writing work. But it's also clear that Sajid is relying far more on his star's charm than on crafting genuinely funny material. Often, the jokes are a joke.'
