Mitena kills Cassandra, captures Alena; steals Brilyante ng Hangin, Tubig

GMA Network26-06-2025
Mitena (Rhian Ramos) began her revenge towards the descendants of Memen and Ornia in the latest episode of "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre."
On Thursday, the Ice Queen infiltrated Lireo by disguising herself as Cassiopeia (Solenn Heussaff). She met Hara Cassandra (Michelle Dee), who was overjoyed to see her, thinking that she was her mother.
She later showed her true colors, attacking Cassandra. When the Queen of the Diwata realized that she was facing an enemy, she took out the Brilyante ng Hangin and engaged in battle.
But Mitena met her head on with her scepter, before stealing the Brilyante ng Hangin.
She then finished off Cassandra with a spear to the torso. However, it was not shown what happened to Cassandra's body.
Alena (Gabbi Garcia) and Adamus (Kelvin Miranda) later arrived in Lireo, and this time, Mitena took on the form of Cassandra. Alena's Brilyante ng Tubig helped her figure out at once that Cassandra was an imposter.
Mitena showed her true form and engaged the mother and son simultaneously, but Alena was quickly overpowered. Like what happened with Cassandra, Mitena stole the Brilyante ng Tubig.
The Ice Queen then trapped Alena in a crystal. Adamus managed to escape before Mitena's forces could take him captive.
Meanwhile, Cassiopeia sensed that something wrong was happening, but before she could take action, Anaca (Mika Salamanca) took her out with a dart to the neck.
The events were the beginning of the fulfillment of Cassiopeia's prophecy that someone will kill her and bring destruction to Encantadia.
"Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" airs weeknights on GMA Network at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." You can also watch it on YouTube via the Kapuso Stream. —MGP, GMA Integrated News

Alden Richards on Men Who Matter 2025 trophy: 'Parang nagbubunga 'yung works ko behind the camera'

Alden Richards is among the recipients of the Men Who Matter 2025 by PeopleAsia magazine, and for the Kapuso star, the honor serves as motivation for him to keep pursuing his passions and advocacy work. In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Wednesday, the Asia's Multimedia Star shared that he is now in the "legacy building stage" of his life. "Sarap lang sa pakiramdam kasi parang nagbubunga lahat 'yung mga works ko behind the camera," he said. "I'm in my legacy building stage and the question every day that pops in my head is, 'How do you want to be remembered by the people around you?' And that's the reason why I keep on doing what I'm doing." Alden had made his directorial debut in "Out of Order," which premiered at the Da Nang Asian Film Festival in June. The passionate cyclist also recently finished his first-ever gravel cycling race, an experience he called "humbling." "Ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na the only thing that matters to me that time was, of course safety is number one, but it was just me, the bike, the terrain, and the finish line. Ang saya, uultiin ko 'yun." And in July, he enrolled in a flight school. Of his aviation journey, he said, "The reason why it's happening to me right now is alam ni Lord one way or another that I'm gonna be able to finish that. I'm taking it one step at a time. Wala akong minamadali." Alden currently balances all these while serving as host of the Kapuso reality dance competition "Stars on the Floor." Per Alden, the people in the show all got to build solid relationships with each other. "Now that we're reaching almost the end, 'di pa po tapos mga Kapuso pero almost the end, medyo may konting melancholic feeling lang, but kaya naman. Malay mo Season 2 no?" "Stars on the Floor" airs on GMA Network every Saturday at 7:15 p.m. —CDC, GMA Integrated News

Mitena summons Kambal-diwa to uncover truth about female warrior in her dreams

The elemental twins of Encantadia, known as the Kambal-diwa, have been summoned by Mitena (Rhian Ramos) in a powerful bid to uncover the truth behind the mysterious female warrior haunting her dreams. On Wednesday's episode of "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre," Mitena calls forth the four forces of nature after she was informed by Mashna Mayca (Cheska Iñigo) about their existence: Alipato (Jay Ortega), Avilan (Radson Flores), Sari-a (Lexi Gonzales), and Agua (Elle Villanueva). Their combined presence radiates the raw power of Encantadia's elements, each twin embodying the balance and strength of their domain. Upon appearing, the Kambal-diwa acknowledged Mitena as their queen, pledging their presence to her command. Haunted by visions of a female warrior who is Terra (Bianca Umali), Mitena demands to know the truth about her identity. Avilan stepped forward with a revelation that shakes the ice queen's resolve: the girl in her dreams is the true Sang'gre, and she is destined to rise as a leader and bring about Mitena's downfall to save the realm. They also revealed that the warrior is not in Encantadia, instead, she resides in the world of the humans, which puzzled the ruthless ice queen. Meanwhile, in the mortal world, a video circulated showing Sang'gre allegedly killing the woman she was meant to protect, which Terra knows is not true. The deception is revealed to be the work of Emil (Ricky Davao), who created the video to turn the people against Sang'gre. And as Pirena (Glaiza De Castro)'s search for her niece continues, she and Terra unknowingly find themselves in the same place, just inches away from a long-awaited encounter. "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" airs on GMA Network from Mondays to Fridays at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." You can also watch it online via the Kapuso Stream on YouTube. —Carby Rose Basina/MGP, GMA Integrated News
