EXCLUSIVE Kyle Walker jets back to Manchester on a RYANAIR flight as England star visits wife Annie Kilner during break from Milan

Daily Mail28-04-2025

Kyle Walker opted for the budget option when making a late-night dash to Manchester just hours after playing for AC Milan at the San Siro.
The 34-year-old, who returned to the Rossoneri squad for their 2-0 win over Venezia following surgery on a broken elbow, was spotted on a Ryanair flight from Milano Malpensa Airport to the UK.
The defender's decision to move to Italy came amid family drama off the pitch, with Walker fighting for his marriage with the mother of four of his children, Annie Kilner, after also fathering two kids with his influencer ex-mistress Lauryn Goodman.
Kilner and their children have made regular trips to Italy but have remained in the UK.
Walker took up a spot at the very front of the plane and was, ironically, seen watching an episode of the Netflix reality TV show Temptation Island. The program sees couples travel to a tropical island to have their fidelity tested.
The England international signed autographs for the cabin crew and was 'quite pleasant' according to a fellow passenger on the flight. He also exchanged messages with his Three Lions colleague and former City team-mate Jack Grealish.
It follows reports last month that Walker upset his wife when he went partying with two Serbian models in Milan, having spent the day with his family before their flight back home.
The pair reunited at their home in Cheshire shortly after Walker's night of partying, and the defender was in surprisingly good spirits.
Shortly after arriving at the San Siro, Walker told GQ of his delight to have a fresh start and 'solely concentrate' on his football, away from the antics which caused distraction while at Manchester City.
It came after Mail Sport revealed that Walker stopped Goodman relocating to Italy ahead of his move to AC Milan by refusing to allow her to rent out her Sussex mansion.
The influencer, mother of the defender's two love children, intended to bankroll her move with the proceeds from a rental agreement, but Walker - who owns the £2.4m property - rejected the proposal.
Goodman, 33, hoped to use the money to rent a place in Milan in order for Walker to be close to their two children Kairo, four and 16-month-old daughter Kinara.
But the England defender, via his lawyers, told Goodman renting out her five-bedroom Sussex mansion was a no-go, saying if she did want to move out, the property would have to be sold.
A source said: 'Kyle just laughed when he heard of Lauryn's proposal and booted it out straight away.'
Goodman had previously expressed a desire to move to Dubai when Walker was initially linked with a transfer to the lucrative Saudi league after he told City boss Pep Guardiola of his intentions of moving abroad.
But after agreeing a deal with AC Milan, Lauryn changed tact, telling pals she would follow Kyle 'anywhere' in a desperate bid for him to connect with their children, and no doubt deliberately irk his wife Annie Kilner.
If Walker was hoping his private life would quickly cease to be a topic of discussion, he would have been devastated by the news revealed by the Mail on Sunday, that Goodman is planning a tell-all autobiography.
In March, sources close to Goodman said she is in the early stages of the book and has been hunting for a ghostwriter. To make matters worse for the Walker family, she is also in talks to appear in a documentary for Channel 4 about badly behaved footballers.
A friend told the MoS: 'Lauryn has been wanting to do a book for some time. She has been talking about it and asking writers to pen it for her.
'As we know, she does not hold back when she wants to say something she wants out there, so it is likely to cause Kyle and Annie yet another headache.
'They have been trying to move on from all of this but with a book on its way, it will be pretty impossible. Lauryn doesn't seem to want to live a quiet life.'
Goodman told Kilner in December 2023 that her second child, a daughter named Kinara, was Walker's, along with her son Kairo, five. Kilner then threw Walker out of their family home in Cheshire, but three months later they began to repair their marriage.
In October last year, she served him with divorce papers but friends of the couple insist they are trying to make their relationship work.
On the pitch, Walker has made a big impression for Milan and featured in 11 matches in his first two months. The side are a long way off the Champions League qualification places but they could still get their hands on silverware in the form of the Coppa Italia.
Milan have a £4.2million option to make Walker's loan deal permanent at the end of the season but, based on the defender's recent comments, a return to the Etihad remains a possibility.
'After I said my goodbyes, Pep [Guardiola] got up and spoke and said a really nice message to me, just saying thank you for everything,' Walker said on his BBC podcast this month.
'But listen, it's not over. I'm just on loan here. I've got to take that into consideration that I can go back. Obviously, both parties need to come to an agreement come the end of the season and. The chapter's not fully closed, we'll see what happens.'

Fernandes turned down Saudi riches - but Man Utd skipper still did club wrong

Probably - no, definitely - the most interesting five minutes of the recent Europa League final in Bilbao came soon after the last whistle of a truly abject football match. Bruno Fernandes, to his credit, fronted up as he always does. Unsolicited, in front of a knot of reporters in the bowels of Estadio de San Mamés following the loss to Spurs, he suggested he would understand if Manchester United wanted to sell him and move on without him. At that point, any elite club worth its salt might well have thought long and hard about selling him and moving on. This is Manchester United we are talking about. For all his foibles on the field, Fernandes is a good guy. Off the pitch, he represents United brilliantly, speaks well and comes across as a fine captain. He is a good guy and a very good player. But for him to now be lauded for deciding to stay at Old Trafford is not the best reflection of what the club has become. Re-reading his explanation of the dalliance with Al-Hilal - whoever they are - it is hard to believe his commitment to United is as rock-solid as everyone makes out. 'The president of Al-Hilal called me a month ago to ask me about the possibility of moving there,' he said. Which, in my old-fashioned mind, constitutes an illegal approach. Which, in my old-fashioned mind, is tapping up. And, in my old-fashioned mind, it should have elicited a response along the lines of…'mate, if you want to sign me, talk to the club that has given me a contract worth £300,000 a week for the next two years'. Phone down. Yes, tapping up has gone on since the dawn of professional football but this was still a bizarre way of doing things. To have your captain and star player in discussions with another club while under contract is just odd. Unless, of course, United gave him permission, which does not seem likely. Fernandes, apparently, had to 'wait a while to think about the future'. After all, the president of Al-Hilal was, Fernandes said, 'a fantastic person'. In the end, his wife and Ruben Amorim helped convince Fernandes that his immediate future did not belong to Saudi Arabia. Which, considering he has been a decent player in a terrible United team in recent seasons, is, on the face of it, a good thing for the club. But this should never have been an issue. That Fernandes took the call from Saudi when under contract at United, that he seriously considered the move, is still a slight against what remains an iconic institution. Openly, Fernandes has happily admitted to talking to a Saudi Arabian club while being under contract at Manchester United. That is just wrong. And don't forget, as good as Fernandes has been - and he is a smashing footballer - he is still the leader of a very mediocre Manchester United team. He is still a part of failure. There are many strange elements of the whole Fernandes-Saudi saga. Let's face it, if Al-Hilal had actually tabled an offer of £100million for a player who soon turns 31, would United really have pleaded with a captain - a captain who led his team to only 11 Premier League wins in one season - to stay? For a multi-billionaire, Sir Jim Ratcliffe sometimes seems daft … but not that daft. Fernandes is a rare talent. But as skipper of a side that needs total transformation, it might have been best, all round, if he had taken up an offer that he clearly gave serious consideration to. And I suspect he, and the club, knows it. Sky has slashed the price of its bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, saving members £192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more. Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games next season, an increase of up to 100 more.

Al-Hilal make offer for £63m Man Utd target after missing out on Bruno Fernandes

Al-Hilal have submitted a bid to sign one of Manchester United's transfer targets after failing to convince Bruno Fernandes to join the Saudi Pro League. The Saudi club are keen to make a marquee signing this summer, having already hired former Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi to be their new head coach. Mohamed Salah had been a long-term target before the Egyptian committed his future to Liverpool. Bruno Fernandes was also approached last week with a mind-boggling £700,000-a-week offer, but the United skipper eventually opted against the move. 'There was an opportunity. The president [of Al-Hilal] called me and asked if I wanted to go there. They were waiting for me,' Fernandes revealed this week. 'It would have been easy to move there as I know the Portuguese players there very well, but I want to play at the highest level and compete for major titles.' Having missed out on Fernandes, Al-Hilal have now moved on to their latest target, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the club has sumbitted an official bid to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. The 26-year-old has a €75million (£63m) release clause in his deal and has attracted interest from United as they look for alternatives having failed to sign Liam Delap. But Al-Ahli appeared to now be in pole position to sign the striker and have submitted an initial proposal worth €65m (£54.7m) with a further €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons. Napoli are expected to request that the release clause fee is matched, but reports add that the Saudi club are happy to do that if their initial bid is rebuffed. Osimhen was in talks with both Al-Ahli and Chelsea last summer, but ultimately failed to agree terms on a deal with either side. The Nigerian international instead moved on loan to Galatasaray where he enjoyed a superb campaign, scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions to guide the Turkish side to a league and cup double. While a move to Saudi Arabia would be lucrative, fellow Nigerian John Obi Mikel has urged the striker to instead seek a move to the Premier League. 'I hope there is still a Premier League move for him this summer', Mikel told Metro. 'I think the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, they still need a striker. I don't think [Rasmus] Hojlund is the guy for Manchester United. More Trending 'He runs around and works hard but he is not the guy who will score goals, put them in the top four and win them trophies. So for me Manchester United might be the destination. 'I don't want to see him in Saudi right now because he still has so much to offer in Europe. It would be a shame to see him go there. So maybe Arsenal, United, Juventus and PSG too [are his options]. Let's see what happens.' Should a move for Osimhen not materialise, United may be forced to consider alternatives as they seek attacking reinforcements for Ruben Amorim's side. The Red Devils still hold an interest in Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, but both strikers are also wanted by Arsenal. For more stories like this, check our sport page.
