Govt Launches Online Platform To Expedite Halal Certification
The government, through the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), will implement a new digital system, MyHALALINGREDIENTS, starting August 15 2025, to streamline the halal certification process. The platform is designed to record and assess all raw materials used by industries and will be integrated with the existing MYeHALAL system. By reducing the need for repeated submission of physical documents, the initiative aims to shorten application review times, making halal certification faster, more transparent, and user-friendly. Key objectives of MyHALALINGREDIENTS include simplifying registration via MYeHALAL, speeding up material reviews, improving supply chain management, and reducing overall certification processing times. The system is expected to enhance efficiency while maintaining the integrity and safety of halal products. JAKIM has invited all companies involved in halal certification to register and join an online briefing on August 18 2025. The session will provide detailed guidance on implementing the new system across all industry categories and halal certification schemes. The department urged industry players to fully utilise MyHALALINGREDIENTS to strengthen Malaysia's halal certification framework and reinforce the country's position as a global leader in the halal sector.
