TELL YOU WHAT Brits' worst telly habits revealed from guessing the plot to scrolling on phone during the best bits, survey shows BRITS' top telly bugbears are people asking loads of questions about the show, switching between channels – and accidentally giving away spoilers. A poll of 2,000 adults found 24 per cent who watch with others get cheesed off when their sofa-mates eat snacks too loudly. However, a quarter confessed to being a nightmare to watch TV with, because they're always asking questions themselves. For 40 per cent of them, they're just trying to understand a plot point better – but 31 per cent said they simply weren't paying enough attention. Despite this, 33 per cent say a night in front of the box with friends is just as enjoyable as doing an activity with a friend. Advertisement It comes as M&M's celebrates the launch of its latest platform, It's More Fun Together, turning TV quirks into something worth celebrating, with a Couch Confessions pop-up in London, hosted by TV-lover celebs Sam Thompson and Scarlett Moffatt. Reality TV Star, Scarlett Moffatt, said: 'TV nights at home are my love language, chaotic, full of theme-tune singalongs and subtitle debates. "But hunkering down on the couch with Scott and Jude is what makes it so special. "I love the little quirks that turn ordinary nights into unforgettable family moments, because watching together is always more fun, even if Jude is the remote-control-king nowadays.' Advertisement The research also revealed what TV viewers would like to make watching telly collectively better – with 20 per cent opting for snack bowls that perfectly divide portions between people. And 19 per cent would like a family-sized footstool, so everyone could put their feet up, and 15 per cent long for a device that sets the TV at the 'perfect' volume. Guests of the pop-up were lucky enough to get their hands on some of these solves, alongside scavenger hunts for TV snacks and content moments galore. The study also found 26 per cent of people who watch with others admitted they frequently try and guess at plot twists before they happen. Brits also found an appetite for celebrity company in front of the box, with David Attenborough, Ant and Dec and Olivia Colman ranking top three of Britain's most sought-after telly companions. And 22 per cent think nothing of stopping a show at a vital moment – to go to the loo or make a cup of tea. While nearly a fifth (19 per cent) of dozy watchers who took part in the study by are also liable to nod off mid-episode. Advertisement Inspired by the modern British living room, the immersive experience was split into two sides for guests to explore, and paid homage to the nation's favourite ways to watch television together. TV Personality & Radio Host, Sam Thompson, added: 'I'm all about turning TV nights into a proper event with bean bags, onesies, volume up and a stash of snacks. "It's my favourite time to just hang out with mates, even if it takes us an hour to agree on what to watch and someone always falls asleep halfway through." 2 Sam Thompson and Scarlett Moffatt host M&M'S Couch Confessions pop up Credit: Will Ireland/PinPep Advertisement

‘So embarrassing' rant Love Island fans as they say couple ‘will split in days'
LOVE Island fans are convinced that it's just a matter of days before Lauren and Harrison call it quits after telling clue. The footballer, 22, was embroiled in a controversial love triangle with Lauren and Toni for most of his villa stay, breaking both their hearts along the way. 3 Love Island fans think Lauren and Harrison are set to split after telling clue Credit: Reddit 3 Harrison's still not gone official with Lauren - despite leaving the show for her Credit: Eroteme After Lauren was dumped, Harrison did some soul-searching and decided to leave to give things a go with her and quit the show. Shortly after Harrison reunited with Lauren and told her that he "wanted her to be his girlfriend" as they hugged in emotional scenes. On last night's finale, host Maya Jama quizzed the pair on whether they were finally boyfriend and girlfriend. Harrison admitted they were still dating but not official yet. When quizzed on their relationship status, Harrison told Maya: "Not yet, we're exclusive. I left the villa to be with Lauren. We are getting on really, really well. "We've both met each other's families. Going really, really well. "Not boyfriend and girlfriend yet but soon." Lauren then looked at Sophie and seemed unimpressed by Harrison's response. But viewers were left scratching their heads after Harrison vowed to make Lauren his girlfriend after - but now appeared to be "backtracking". One wrote: "I just went back and watched their little reunion. He straight up says 'And I want you to be my girlfriend'. I was under the impression the last two weeks that they were boyfriend and girlfriend. Now he's essentially backtracking and saying they're not even exclusive? Where do these two even stand?" A second posted: "Lmao this man is NOT going to commit to her. If he does it'll be out of pressure and it'll implode spectacularly shortly after. You absolutely do not meet someone you like enough to be in a relationship with only to run back to someone else then go back and forwards and act like a f*****g lunatic." Watch Love Island's Harrison roll his eyes and fake clap after ex Toni makes savage dig about him in live final A third commented: "Harrison says a lot of things, he then walks a lot of them back almost as soon as he's said them, we saw him do it for about six weeks on the show, he's not a serious person." "His reaction to Toni and Cach tonight was very telling. i don't think they'll last or even get to that point of being committed to Lauren," a fourth said. After leaving the villa, Harrison said his family would play a big part in whether he and Lauren progresses. Speaking on the Love Island: Morning After podcast, Harrison said: "I feel like we want to get to know each other a little bit more away from the villa. "Obviously the villa's a very secluded environment it's different on the outside so it's nice to get to know each other, go on a few dates without cameras and microphones." Looking cosy beside Lauren, he continued: "For me it was a big thing about her meeting my family before I made anything official. But I left the villa for Lauren and I do think a lot of her. I feel like we'll be boyfriend and girlfriend soon, no doubt." An extra spanner in the works is the fact Harrison is based in Miami, and he isn't sure if he wants to return to the UK permanently just yet.

‘They absolutely HATE them' rage Love Island fans as they insist feud is worse than we see on TV
The feud has been boiling over all series between the two sides LOVE AND WAR 'They absolutely HATE them' rage Love Island fans as they insist feud is worse than we see on TV LAST night's episode of Love Island saw Dejon Noel-Williams and Meg Moore unceremoniously dumped from the villa, just a day before the final. The ex-islanders were brought back in to cast their votes and opted to vote them off the show, but not before sharing how they really felt about their relationship. Advertisement 4 Love Island viewers claimed the other islanders "hate" Dejon and Meg Credit: Eroteme 4 The pair were dumped from the villa Credit: Eroteme They were tasked with choosing between Dejon and Meg and Ty Isherwood and Angel Swift as least compatible. The three safe couples, namely Jamie and Yasmin, Cach and Toni and Harry and Shakira looked on as each former islander shared their thoughts. Ultimately, Dejon and Meg received the most votes and Maya told them to say their goodbyes and leave for good. As the pair packed up their belongings, they told the rest of the villa inhabitants how much they loved them. Advertisement However, viewers at home insisted their co-stars 'hate them' and picked up on the simmering tensions that have occurred between Meg and the girls all series long. One fan wrote on X: 'These people hated Meg and Dejon. Leaving at the semi final and no tears or nothing.' Another expressed: 'That was the least emotional send off ever. Just Harry with the tears lol.' Somebody else commented: 'Meg and Dejon are devastated, the fake smiles. Dejon wants to cry real life tears.' Advertisement Yet another joked: 'Lol no tears from anyone,' while a fourth said: 'The way none of the girls are crying about Meg leaving.' A fifth added: 'The girls listening to Meg's leaving speech do not look bothered at all.' Love Island OG's Meg and Dejon DUMPED by returning islanders A divide between the girls has been mentioned all series long, with Meg appearing to be on one side with Helena Ford and Megan Forte-Clarke, while Shakira Khan, Yasmin Pettet and Toni Laites were on the other side. The two groups have clashed on multiple occasions, with the ladies on either side being involved in love triangles with the boys. Advertisement Viewers recently claimed that the divide started right at the start of the series, just hours after they descended into the villa. On fan forum platform Reddit, one informed fan noticed that the girls were splitting in the villa all the way back in episode two of the 2025 series. In a video posted on the platform, Shakira made a new best friend in Toni after her bombshell arrival and the duo gossiped together by the firepit. This was as Alima Gagigo, Sophie Lee, Megan, Helena, and Meg were all sitting together in a separate part of the villa. Advertisement Shakira told the Las Vegas cabana server that she felt like she was judged from the rest of the girls for chatting with so many of the boys so early on. She remarked: "I'm not joking, getting ready then the vibes felt so off. "So it's not enough to like pick up on and say something about because it's nothing that is being said, but it's the energy. Toni replied: "You know everyone is interested in you." Then Shakira stated: "I've been grafting, but I feel like the girls don't appreciate that. Advertisement "But equally what's stopping them from doing the same thing? We've all been here [only] a day. Like, I think I have a right to get to know everybody." In the captions below, fans seemed to concur that this was the moment the villa divide started. One fan posted: "Yep the twist of Shakira being single and having to graft the boys to stay def started the divide." While a second added: "I'm no Shakira-Harry fan, but as a guy, it always came across to me that jealousy was a primary motivator in those in the villa that disliked her."
