Michigan State football extends offer to 2027 wide receiver from East St. Louis
Michigan State has done a phenomenal job recruiting the 2026 recruiting class in the month June, but now, the focus has slightly transferred to the 2027 recruiting class.
Over the course of the month, in the background of the official visits taking place, the Spartans have also been hosting camps for underclassmen prospects and prospects looking to earn themselves an offer. On Sunday, the Spartans were hosting a 7-on-7 tournament in place of a camp.
While a Detroit native wide receiver received a roster as a result of the event, another prospect, a wide receiver from East St. Louis, Illinois, also received an offer.
Ronnie Gomiller received the offer, a 5-foot-10 and 160 pound wide receiver, he has not yet been ranked by recruiting websites. He has received additional offers from Indiana, Kansas State and Maryland.

Alabama lands commitment from 2026 defensive lineman
Only days after landing a commitment from a 2026 quarterback, the Alabama Crimson Tide have added yet another name to their class in defensive lineman JJ Finch. Finch announced his commitment to Alabama on Sunday afternoon, and is now the eighth member of the Crimson Tide's 2026 class. According to the 247Sports Composite recruiting rankings, Finch is currently considered as the nation's No. 448 overall player in the 2026 class, as well as the No. 50 defensive lineman nationally. In an attempt to start building out their future recruiting classes, the Spartans have been hosting the normal amount of camp events to identify future prospects. On Sunday, the Spartans hosted a 7-on-7 tournament that has provided a host of new offers. The latest known offer has gone out to an instate prospect, Jayden Evans, an athlete from Harper Woods (MI). A 6-foot-1, 170 pounder, he is most likely going to translate as a defensive back at the next level. He is a member of the 2028 recruiting class.
