Doctor Odyssey Delivers Another Pregnancy Shocker
While nobody puts baby in a corner, if you're Ryan Murphy, you're putting at least two babies on a ship.
Shania Twain has returned to ABC's Doctor Odyssey as horny widow Heather, and just as we expected, she and Captain Massey get pretty cozy.

Only minutes into Episode 12, the pair share a hot-and-heavy moment during Cougar Week — respectfully rebranded 'Sophisticated Ladies Week.' Though we don't actually get to witness Captain Massey making Twain's Heather feel like a woman, the seaman assures us the tryst was 'fire,' as the kids say. (Aye, Aye, Captain!)
And apparently that much heat doesn't just deliver drama, intimacy and intrigue, it also harnesses the power to conceive a whole baby! Despite saying she's in the throes of menopause, Heather tells Massey she has defied nature and is now a mommy-to-be.
You might be asking, 'But… how?' Avery, too, seems to share your skepticism, considering Heather's age. The nurse triple-checks Heather for plenty of health conditions that could result in a false positive pregnancy test. But our horny widow is the pinnacle of health — her pregnancy is real!
How does Massey respond to the big reveal? Better than Max and Tristan did when confronted with news like this! The Captain immediately reassures Heather that they're on this journey together. And later, when Heather experiences spotting and fears she has miscarried, Massey accompanies her to the infirmary. She ends up being fine, and Massey vows to use this opportunity to be a present father. (Does this mean he'll soon be departing the Odyssey?!)
In terms of Avery's own pregnancy, we don't have any updates. The father is yet to be revealed, and both Tristan and Max are still fumbling around trying to prove they each have what it takes to be Daddy Dearest.

Fans mock NBA, ABC for putting ‘CGI' trophies on Finals court after outcry
The NBA and ABC digitally inserted images of the Larry O'Brien Trophy onto the court during the broadcast of Game 2 of the NBA Finals, leading an array of reactions on social media — many of which made fun of the decision. Fans had taken umbrage with the fact that there were no decals during Game 1 — not even digital ones — and the league appeared to take notice Sunday night, alternating between an image of the trophy and a logo that read 'The NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV.' According to Awful Announcing, the NBA has not featured physical decals on the court since 2020 and large physical decals of the trophy haven't been put on the floor of the Finals since 2009. But the attempt by the league and ABC on Sunday drew criticism from fans. 'FANS: The NBA Finals are supposed to be special. You could at least put the logo back on the court. 'NBA: Here are the terribly low-res digital Larry O'Brien Trophies superimposed on the court like you wanted. They're glitchy and disappear if we cut back to them too quickly.' a fan wrote on X. 'Looks like the @NBA got the memo about fans wanting more visuals of the #NBAFinals insignia and Larry OB, but superimposing a digital image isn't the answer,' another person wrote on x. ESPN had digital trophies on the court for Game 2 of the NBA Finals. The trophy on the court has become such a talking point among fans on social media that NBA commissioner Adam Silver had weighed in about it after Game 1. 'To be honest, I hadn't thought all that much about it until I (saw) it (on social media),' he told reporters, per The Athletic. 'I'm nostalgic, as well, for certain things. And also, I think for a media-driven culture, whether it's people watching live or seeing those images on social media, it's nice when you're looking back on highlights and they stand out because you see that trophy logo or some other indication that it's a special event. So, we'll look at it.' The Thunder's court didn't have the NBA trophies that were shown digitally on the broadcast. Imagn Images After all the talk about it during Game 2, Silver might explore the situation further ahead of Game 3. The Thunder won Game 2, 123-107, to even the series up at 1-1.

A year after NCIS: Hawai'i ended its three-season run on CBS, the state's film and TV industry continues to suffer a decline in business. Jason Antoon, who played cyber intelligence specialist Ernie Malik on the police procedural spin-off, recently shared a video of the series' vacant and overgrown Hollywood Film Studio, where shows like Lost (2004-'10), Hawaii Five-0 (2010-'20) and Magnum P.I. (2018-'24) also filmed. Although CEO Rob Wade said the reason for the decision 'certainly wasn't the locale or the budget,' filming in Hawaii made it one of the network's more expensive dramas, coming in at close to $4 million per episode. Meanwhile, Hawaii was passed over as the locale for the next 9-1-1 spin-off, which is instead filming in Nashville, starring Chris O'Donnell and premiering this fall on ABC. On Friday, Gov. Josh Green, M.D. released an intent-to-veto list, which includes HB796, a bill that would sunset tax credits after five years. 'This bill would have a significant long-term impact on income tax credits across a variety of industries, including film and television, research, and renewable energy,' said Gov. Green of the veto. 'These tax credits are critical to supporting economic development and diversification, particularly within growing and emerging sectors. Categorically sunsetting income tax credits will not only disincentivize future investors from doing business in Hawai'i, but will destabilize existing businesses that currently rely upon these tax credits. So with another Pride Month officially in full swing, we thought we'd take stock of some LGBTQ+ TV couples currently demanding our attention — as well as our full support. After a string of failed romances, Leo seems to have finally gotten it right with Javi, and we're enjoying this latest version of him. Hey, what could possibly go wrong to screw up this perfect pairing? It's not like we're talking about some kind of soap op… oh, right. — A.S. This flame was well on its way to being rekindled when all hell broke loose in the Season 3 finale — just as Eve got blindsided by Francine's talk of having kids. In the heat of the moment, Eve didn't pivot well (at all), but in the wake of Francine's heroics during the Three Rock blaze, we hope they in fact are back on track. — M.M. Yes, the cute couple played by Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani hit a bit of turbulence in the freshman season of Netflix's vacation comedy. (Danny ignoring his health issues and Claude's hot Italian temper led to a fight where Danny's clothes ended up on the front lawn.) But once you get past all the drama, there's a genuine sweetness to these two, and we loved watching them cuddle together and make up. — Dave Nemetz We #Momelia fans are a patient lot. It's been more than a season since Amelia first asked out the new colleague with whom she sparks so appealingly, and they still haven't so much as kissed. Nevertheless, their mutual respect for and ever-increasing understanding of one another keeps us telling ourselves, 'Maybe the next episode will be the one.' — Charlie Mason In Season 3 of Netflix's butterflies-inducing LGBTQ+ dramedy, the high-school sweethearts' romance was tested like never before — by their cohabitation, by the academic pressure on the former, by the latter's nonbinary journey. Yet as we shippers knew they would, the couple managed to rise to the challenges before them and emerge closer than ever on the other side. — C.M. You want to talk about bringing down the house? When these immortal lovers reunited in a hotel at the end of Season 2, in the midst of a devastating New Orleans storm, the structure quite literally crumbled around them. Louis and Lestat have a love for the ages, and now that their mutual misunderstandings have been cleared up, we're hoping for a fresh start moving forward. — A.S. The two post-apocalyptic teens managed to start a relationship in a) a mushroom apocalypse, b) while in deep grief over someone they both adored, and c) despite the fact that one of them was pregnant by someone else. Talk about finding love in a hopeless place! — Kim Roots There's no telling what the future holds for these two badass warriors — literally, the Paramount+ drama has yet to be renewed for a third season — but after all they went through and barely survived at the close of Season 2, it is one of our most fervent wishes that they found the time for lots of not talking. — M.M. Charley is one of those puppy dog characters to whom you only ever want to see good things happen, so imagine our pleasant surprise when he struck up a romance with pouty potter Yuri in the ghost drama's second season. The chemistry, the kisses, the Ghost reenactment — it was all just so, so good. If they couldn't be their authentic selves when they were alive, at least they can be happy together in the afterlife, right? — A.S. After four long, dry seasons (unless you count tears!), we were beginning to think that Isaac would never find someone to share his life with. But then, just when we least expected it, along came Michael to sweep his former frenemy off his feet. Watching them awkwardly figure out their feelings for one another was an unexpected delight, and that first kiss at the Christmas festival? Come on, now! We're all in with these two. — A.S.
