Penn State linebacker Kobe King drafted by Minnesota Vikings in Round 6 of NFL Draft
Penn State linebacker Kobe King is looking to continue the Linebacker U legacy at the next level after having his name called in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Minnesota Vikings selected King with a sixth-round draft pick on the final day of the draft, using the 201st overall pick to select the Penn State standout.
King took some time to become the steady contributor he had become with the Nittany Lions defense the past couple of seasons. King started 11 games for Penn State in 2023 and was named a team captain for the 2024 season, where he started all 16 games played by Penn State on its College Football Playoff run. King ended the 2024 season with 97 tackles with three sacks. He was named a second-team All-Big Ten player and declared for the 2025 NFL draft following the conclusion of the season.

King's twin brother, Kalen King, was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL draft. Now the two brothers, who played high school and college football together, will be division rivals in the NFC North. That should make for some interesting family gatherings!
King is the fifth Penn State player to be selected in the NFL draft. He joins first-round draft picks edge rusher Abdul Carter (no. 3, New York Giants) and tight end Tyler Warren (no. 14, Indianapolis Colts). Fellow safety Kevin Winston Jr. was a third-round pick of the Tennessee Titans. Safety Jaylen Reed was picked up by the Houston Texans earlier in the sixth round.

Former Viking Shaquill Griffin set to visit the Las Vegas Raiders during minicamp
Former Viking Shaquill Griffin set to visit the Las Vegas Raiders during minicamp One of the more underrated members of the Minnesota Vikings' defense in 2024 is one step closer to officially not returning for a re-run in 2025. Shaquill Griffin, who played in all 17 games and started three last year for the Vikings, visited the Las Vegas Raiders this week, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The Raiders are coached by Pete Carroll, who drafted Griffin in 2017 as the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks. Griffin spent his first four years with Carroll in Seattle, intercepting six passes and breaking up 40. He was selected for his lone Pro Bowl in 2019. The Vikings are comfortable with their current cornerback room and weren't planning on bringing Griffin back. He intercepted two passes in 2024 and posted a respectable 63.7 PFF grade, but he turns 30 next month. If he remains unsigned into training camp and the Vikings don't like the progress they've seen from their young cornerbacks, perhaps they will look to bring Griffin back on another one-year deal. But right now, a potential reunion for him would be with his first head coach in the NFL.

Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes Make Major Personal Decision
Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes Make Major Personal Decision originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, are, without a doubt, one of the most well-known couples in the NFL today. Patrick Mahomes is one of the top quarterbacks in the game right now, and his three Super Bowl rings are a clear testament to this fact. His wife, on the other hand, has firmly established herself as part of the elite group of NFL WAGs (wives and girlfriends) as a model, endorser and entrepreneur, among other things. It also only follows that their kids have had the spotlight on them for pretty much their entire lives. Patrick and Brittany Mahomes have three children. Their eldest is daughter Sterling, 4, followed by a son, Bronze, who is 2. In January, Brittany Mahomes gave birth to their third child, Golden Raye. On Tuesday, the couple made a big decision by publicly showing the face of their daughter for the first time. The couple took to Instagram to share a set of adorable family photos, which, for the first time, revealed the beautiful face of Golden. The couple waited five months before they went public with their daughter, who, according to Brittany Mahomes herself, will very likely be their last child. "Nope," she said in a recent interview on the "WHOOP Podcast." "We're done; we're done for a while. Three. I don't know, I mean I feel like you can never like say you're done, but I think three is all I need." Right now, Patrick Mahomes is able to play the role of a full-time dad at home amid the NFL offseason. However, it's only a matter of time before the Chiefs' preparations for the upcoming campaign heat up, which means that Mahomes will be forced to spend a lot of time away from his wife and kids. After all, Dad has a fourth Super Bowl title to win. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 13, 2025, where it first appeared.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Kiss at Stanley Cup Final
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could. not. stop. being adorable last night. In case you missed their surprise appearance, the pair showed up to the Stanley Cup Final in Florida—where they're currently spending time while Travis trains for the NFL season. Their general vibe? But Taylor and Travis were also caught on camera kissing and cuddling multiple times from multiple angles, and can't lie: the footage (gathered by @swifferupdates) is extremely sweet. Literally me after watching these videos: FYI, all this romance comes amid a source telling People that "Taylor is really looking forward to the upcoming NFL season" thanks to it being the first full season that she hasn't also been juggling a tour schedule. "This fall will be completely different," the source said. "It's the first season where she's not constantly flying back and forth or working around an entire touring calendar. The past two seasons were a whirlwind between performing across multiple countries, long flights, and trying to squeeze in alone time together wherever possible. It wasn't easy but they made it work. Her schedule is much more open now that the Eras Tour is wrapped and she's genuinely excited to have the time and flexibility to show up for Travis more consistently." Apparently, Taylor will be at "as many of his games as possible," so get ready.
