Knock-Off delay: Disney addresses hold on Jo Bo Ah starrer as Kim Soo Hyun-Kim Sae Ron scandal intensifies
The fate of Kim Soo Hyun' s much-anticipated series Knock-Off remains uncertain amid ongoing controversy surrounding his rumored dating scandal with actress Kim Sae Ron. Speculation intensified on May 2, when a set of promotional posters for the show unexpectedly appeared on IMDb, sparking renewed debate about the project's release.
However, to address all other growing speculation, Choi Yeon Woo, Head of Local Content at Walt Disney Company Korea, has spoken out. When asked about the status of Knock-Off, Choi reiterated Disney+'s official stance: 'The release has been postponed following an internal review. There have been no further updates since then.'
When questioned about the financial penalties being imposed on Kim Soo Hyun due to the delay, Choi declined to comment, stating, 'It is difficult to provide an answer.'
Previously, rumors circulated suggesting that Disney+ might impose a significant penalty on Kim Soo Hyun due to the series' indefinite postponement, and the controversy surrounding his personal life affected the series.
While some industry insiders claimed a large fine was inevitable, others denied any such action. As of now, no official decision has been confirmed, and the situation remains unresolved.
The scandal has had broader ramifications for the cast and production. Actress Jo Bo Ah, who stars opposite Kim Soo Hyun, has distanced herself from Knock-Off and committed to a different project - Dear Hongrang.
If things were on track, Knock-Off would have been her first screen appearance after her marriage. Had Knock-Off proceeded as planned, it would have served as her comeback role.
Further complicating matters is the ongoing legal conflict reportedly involving Kim Sae Ron's family, which has added another layer of uncertainty to the show's future.
In short, the release of Knock-Off is mired in controversy and uncertainty, with no clear resolution in sight. As the scandal continues to unfold, viewers are left wondering whether the series will ever see the light of day.

Pankaj Tripathi Initially Refused Mimi, Says Wife Convinced Him To Take The Role
Last Updated: Pankaj Tripathi reveals he initially turned down Mimi until his wife convinced him to reconsider. The role went on to earn him a National Award. With the return of the much-anticipated fourth season of Criminal Justice, actor Pankaj Tripathi once again steps into the role of Madhav Mishra, the endearing and sharp-witted lawyer navigating complex cases in the Indian judicial system. As the series premieres on OTT, Tripathi appeared in IMDb's exclusive segment 'The Essential Guide,' offering audiences a rare window into the key moments that shaped his career, the stories behind his most iconic performances, and what he sees as the pillars of his evolution in the digital entertainment space. Reflecting on his time filming Raavan, Tripathi revealed, 'I enjoyed my feminine side while shooting for Raavan. During the filming, I wore a saree, with makeup, and sat on set for seven days. Even in my village, I had dressed up as a girl for the first play in my life. I haven't had the opportunity to play a character like that on screen again, but if it comes, the opportunity would be interesting." He also shared a deeply personal story about a photo with his parents. 'In villages, there is no such culture of taking pictures. I had a mobile back then and requested a child nearby to click a picture of me with my parents. It was the first opportunity in my life when I got to place my hand on my father's shoulder, as such acts weren't followed in my village. In my house, no one knew what films were. No one used to read film magazines either and in fact there was no electricity there till 2016-17. I had told my family that I'm going to study theatre at NSD, post which I will become a professor. They thought I would get into teaching post my education there, so they agreed to let me go." Speaking about how the industry came to acknowledge his versatility, Tripathi said, 'Neeraj Ghaywan helped me change my image from an aggressive man which I had got through Gangs of Wasseypur. People were surprised through Masaan that I can play a soft character as well. Both films – Gangs of Wasseypur and Masaan helped the industry realise that I am a versatile actor. Then Nil Battey Sannata helped the industry understand that I can even play a comic role too. I played a sincere school principal who wanted to help students move ahead in life. The film is a serious comedy. It was Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's first film. She gave me the freedom to play the character the way I want and thus people got acquainted with the fact that I can do comedy as well." Tripathi also recalled the moment he learned he had won a National Award for his work in Newton. 'I had a lot of fun filming Newton. Though I was fed up with lower back pain that I was dealing with at the time. Under the uniform I wore, I used to wear an orthopedic belt and kept it on during the entire filming. The film gave me my first National Award. I'll always be thankful and cherish that. I was with Saurabh Shukla and Anubhav Sinha, we were shooting in Lucknow. Saurabh sir then checked his phone and pointed it towards me saying that I won a National Award. I thought he was joking initially as we weren't aware that the announcement was that day. I went running to my room as I didn't have my phone. When I reached, there were around 30-35 missed calls. Some media folks, some from the fraternity. It was an emotional moment and I shed a few tears. I called my wife and informed her. It was always my dream to win a National Award for cinema, I was emotional for a few days thereafter." Looking back on Bareilly Ki Barfi, Tripathi shared, 'I was quite fit then, so I had to wear a bodysuit under a sweater to look heavier. Many girls approached me after the film sharing that they made their fathers watch it and through the movie, their equation with them changed." He also reflected on the characters that shaped his digital career. 'Guruji in Sacred Games, Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur and Madhav Mishra in Criminal Justice. While acting, I feel that I should just keep thinking and it should transform into an expression that defines the character." Finally, speaking about Mimi, a film he initially declined, Tripathi said, 'I initially didn't want to do Mimi. Dinesh Vijan and Laxman Utekar called my wife, asking her to convince me. I gave in and did the film. It was a great experience to be a part of this movie that is amongst the most viewed films on OTT. Kriti and I both received National Awards for the film. It wasn't just a supporting role, it was something else altogether." As Madhav Mishra returns to our screens in Criminal Justice: Season 4, Tripathi's journey from village plays to national acclaim stands as a testament to perseverance, range, and the quiet power of letting characters speak for themselves. His stories not only reflect his humility and depth as an artist, but also highlight the subtle, transformative power of authenticity in Indian cinema. First Published:

Viral video shows girl singing on delayed Delta flight, passengers call it ‘worst nightmare'
A viral clip shows a little girl belting out a rendition of 'How Far I'll Go,' from Disney's hit animated movie Moana, on a Delta Airlines flight from Florida, receiving mixed reactions from the other passengers. The video, shared initially on TikTok, shows a girl taking over the flight intercom to sing the song as passengers waited for the flight to take off after hours of delay. The clip shows the girl singing her heart out, standing in the middle of the cabin as some joined her while others quietly watched her perform. After the clip went viral, many passengers shared their reaction to the impromptu concert. 'Flight got delayed, and this little girl won't stop singing Moana. Get me off this plane," said one of them. 'This is actually my worst nightmare and personal hell,' said another user while a third wrote: "The worst part is, if you're watching a movie on the plane, the movie pauses when someone makes an announcement. So everyone was forced to stop what they were doing to listen to her." However, others praised the young child for entertaining her co-passengers. "When your flight gets delayed by 2 hours and you circle Orlando for another 2... But then a little girl sings Moana on the crew mic and suddenly everything feels okay,' wrote one of them. 'She's on key and on tempo. It could be much, much worse,' said another. While the girl's motivation to perform is not known, a Delta Air Lines spokesperson told Newsweek that they appreciated her efforts: 'We appreciate the customer sharing her talents and apologise to our customers for the delay in their travels," they said. Another passenger told the Independent that the plane was delayed due to bad weather and waited for an hour on the tarmac before it took off. She recalled that inside the plane, it was 'really hot' and 'packed," and "all of a sudden [a flight attendant] shares with us that they have a sweet little girl that would love to share, or sing, a song with us.' 'We were confused. And then she started singing. And I thought she was gonna sing maybe like up until the chorus part, or end at the chorus, and then we were all going to go along our merry way. But no, she sang the whole song. There was some scattered applause. But it was also very uncomfortable," she said.

Aamir Khan CONFIRMS Sitaare Zameen Par Will Only Release In Theatres, Not On OTT
Last Updated: Aamir Khan confirms Sitaare Zameen Par will release only in theatres on June 20, 2025, denying reports of a YouTube or OTT release. Aamir Khan is gearing up for what may be one of the most significant films of his career — Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual successor to his beloved 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. The film, inspired by the Spanish hit Champions (2018), is set to release on June 20, 2025, and fans have been eagerly awaiting details about where they can watch it. Speculation recently spread that the film might skip traditional OTT platforms altogether and be released exclusively on YouTube via a pay-per-view model — a move that surprised many in the industry. However, Aamir Khan has now put those rumors to rest. In a candid chat with Raj Shamani on his podcast, Aamir addressed the swirling reports and clarified his stance on the release model. 'Maine bohot saari theories padhi hain, alag-alag proposals aaye hain film ko release karne ke liye, par main sabko side mein rakh raha hoon, aur main sirf ek cheez pe dhyan de raha hoon — theatrical," he said, doubling down on his belief in the cinema-going experience. Aamir didn't just clarify the release date — he also made it very clear that Sitaare Zameen Par will have no OTT release at all. Not on Netflix, not on Amazon Prime Video, and not even on Disney+ Hotstar. 'Sitaare Zameen Par jo aayegi, sirf theatre mein aayegi," he confirmed. He went on to express his concern for how the theatrical industry has suffered due to the increasingly shorter window between theatrical and digital releases. 'Ek time tha jab OTT 6 mahine baad aata tha, ab woh kuch hafte baad aa raha hai — mujhe woh suit nahi hota," Aamir explained, suggesting that this shift has diluted the importance and impact of a theatrical run. Aamir emphasized that while he has no issue with streaming platforms, they simply don't align with his vision for this particular film. 'Mujhe OTT se koi takleef nahi hai — agar main koi content OTT ke liye banaunga, toh direct OTT pe leke aaunga," he stated clearly. He added that he had received multiple offers from different platforms but had 'respectfully declined" all of them. For Aamir, this isn't just about one film. It's about preserving an entire culture of watching cinema together. 'Theatre ka agar business khatam hoga, phir aage socha jaayega kya karna hai," he concluded, highlighting that for now, his focus is entirely on bringing people back to theatres.
