$120K in damage caused from Santa Rosa residential blaze
(KRON) — The Santa Rosa Fire Department said four people were displaced in a Wednesday morning blaze that caused damage estimated at $120,000.

SRFD said crews responded to the residential fire at 10:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of Boyd Street. Firefighters arrived at the scene 'to find smoke coming from the eves and front door of a single-story residence that had been converted into multiple living units,' said SRFD in a news release.
The flames were brought under control in 15 minutes. 'Significant' fire and smoke damage were contained to the living room of the structure, said SRFD.
There were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) helped with securing gas and electrical services to the residence, said SRFD.
Santa Rosa Fire confirmed 15 firefighters, one chief officer and two fire inspectors responded to the incident.

(KRON) — Santa Clara County Parks is asking for the public's help finding an Argentine black and white tegu — a lizard that can grow to the size on an ironing board — recently seen wandering Joseph D. Grant County Park. The species of lizard can grow to 4 feet long and weigh more than 10 pounds, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Black and white tegus are native to South America and are considered an invasive species in some U.S. states. Crews rescue kitten from storm drain in Livermore
(KRON) — A tiny kitten was rescued from a storm drain on Tuesday in Livermore, city officials posted on social media. The animal was found trapped in a storm drain near Preston Avenue. Livermore Public Works crews, assisted by the Livermore Police Department, executed this 'tricky rescue,' officials said. 'After carefully removing the storm drain cover, Officer Holmes lowered a humane trap and used a net to gently guide the kitten to safety,' the city wrote. It is unknown how long the kitten was stuck in the storm drain. Photos of the rescue were posted on the City of Livermore's social media page (see below). Two more suspected brothels found in San Jose
(KRON) — The San Jose Police Department Human Trafficking Task Force recently arrested two human trafficking suspects as part of Operation Coast to Coast, a nationwide crackdown targeting illicit massage businesses. On May 29, detectives investigated two San Jose businesses on the 300 block of West Julian Street and 1800 block of Sheri Ann Circle. While executing search warrants, detectives found suspected brothels and three victims inside, according to SJPD. Three adult women were provided with resources for human trafficking victims. Detectives arrested a man and woman who are suspected of operating the brothels. They were identified by police as Yanqiong Xiong, 39, of Cupertino and Guijun Zhao, 45, of Rosemead. Xiong and Zhao were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail. More than 100 law enforcement agencies participated in Operation Coast to Coast, targeting 26 illicit massage businesses nationwide. The operation resulted in 74 arrests and 88 survivors rescued. Last year, police found four more suspected brothels around San Jose that were operated inside homes on McKee Road, Palacio Royale Circle, Bonita Avenue, and Gifford Avenue. Detectives went undercover posing as potential clients seeking prostitutes before they arrested several suspects.
