She instructed the departments concerned to provide the best possible facilities for devotees including effective crowd management to prevent any rush or stampede.
She also directed that Langar (free meals) be distributed with care and dignity, reflecting the spirit of compassion associated with the revered Sufi saint.
The CM further underscored the importance of maintaining order and ensuring the spiritual atmosphere of the event was preserved. 'Special prayers should be offered for the country's security, stability and prosperity,' she added, nothing that Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh's teachings of love, peace and tolerance were a guiding light for society.
The CM said that every effort must be made to facilitate the visitors.

On CM's directions Independence Day celebrations stepped up
LAHORE: On directions by Chief Minister, Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, 79th Independence Day celebrations have been geared up across Punjab on the second day of scheduled festivities, and colourful events were held at tehsil, district and divisional levels in connection with the Independence Day. Punjab is experiencing flux of national flags, as streets, markets, squares, intersections, and roads are beautifully decorated. Independence Day activities were held in Gujrat, Khanewal, Sahiwal and Khushab besides Jhang, Vehari, Jhelum, Toba Tek Singh, Gujranwala, Chiniot, Sargodha, and Chakwal. In Jhelum, Chief Minister's Advisor for Health Major General Azhar Kayani (Retd) attended the Independence Day ceremony, and cut a cake of Pakistan's birthday. He alongside others also attended a ceremony in which a specially-prepared several-meter-long flag was unveiled. CM promises nonstop water supply in 1,200 Model Villages
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting for a briefing on the Model Village, 'Suthra Punjab and Waste to Value Projects. She reviewed the progress made on a project to develop 1,200 model villages. She said on the occasion that round the clock water supply, complete sewage network and waste management and treatment plants would be built in every model village." She added, "Punjab's model villages will also have paved streets, road rehabilitation, children's parks and tree plantation." She highlighted, "Houses will be numbered and signboards will also be installed in model villages." The chief minister was briefed by the authorities concerned on the solar system-powered water supply and sewage system for the model villages. She was apprised that development projects in 130 villages in the pilot phase have been completed. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif sought a deadline for the early completion of the model village project, and said, "Priority will be determined in the model village project by keeping in mind public needs of the area. Every village will be fully developed under Model Village Project."
