Studios announced the digital 4K releases of Point Break, Timecop and several Hong Kong films on Wednesday. The two Hollywood films are available Friday for rent or purchase in 4K for the first time. The A Better Tomorrow trilogy premieres digitally on July 8. John Woo directed the first two and Tsui Hark the third, all starring Chow Yun-fat. Woo and Chow's The Killer and Tsui's Peking Opera Blues become available July 22. Shout! released physical 4K UHDs of Point Break and Timecop. Point Break stars Patrick Swayze as an FBI agent who goes undercover with surfers led by Patrick Swayze to catch a gang of bank robbers. A collection of Jet Li films and City on Fire, also starring Chow, are planned for 4K UHD. Tsui also directed and produced the Once Upon a Time in China films and produced Chinese Ghost Story and Iron Monkey films. THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS Villain Giganto Revealed in… a Little Caesar's Commercial? — GeekTyrant
Well, this is a first. Marvel fans just got their first look at The Fantastic Four: First Steps ' surprise villain and it came in the form of a Little Caesar's ad. While a pizza employee raves about their latest deal, they're suddenly interrupted by none other than Giganto, an oversized, monstrous creature straight out of early Marvel canon. Giganto isn't exactly a household name like Doom or Galactus, but longtime readers will recognize the beast immediately. The monster made his debut all the way back in Fantastic Four #1 in 1961, part of a group of mutated Deviant creations. He's most often associated with Mole Man, the first major villain the Fantastic Four ever faced. While Mole Man hasn't been officially confirmed for the movie, the appearance of Giganto definitely points in that direction, and fans are already speculating that this is Marvel laying the groundwork. For a promo spot tied to cheap pizza, it's surprisingly rich in Marvel lore. Giganto towering over a crumbling city while the cashier continues hyping stuffed crust? It's peak MCU marketing weirdness. 'Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel's First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet.' Produced by Kevin Feige, with executive producers Louis D'Esposito, Grant Curtis, and Tim Lewis, First Steps is shaping up to be a true throwback to the roots of Marvel storytelling, complete with Deviant monsters and atomic-age design. The score comes from Michael Giacchino, and fans can expect something big, bold, and maybe definitly strange from this movie. The Fantastic Four: First Steps opens in theaters on July 25, 2025. The cast include Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who will all return in Avengers: Doomsday , hitting theaters in December 2026. But for now, the spotlight belongs to Giganto… and apparently, pizza.

Ghost Rider Rumored to Lead Marvel's MIDNIGHT SONS Movie as BLADE Faces More Delays — GeekTyrant
A new rumor is lighting up the supernatural corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to trusted insider Daniel Richtman, Ghost Rider may be taking the lead in Marvel's Midnight Sons movie, stepping into a spotlight many assumed belonged to Blade. But given Blade's long-troubled production history, it looks like Marvel may be ready to pass the torch… or flaming skull. Richtman reports that Ghost Rider will now lead the team in the Midnight Sons project, which he also claims is back in active development after a lengthy stall. It's a big pivot, but not entirely shocking considering the state of the Blade movie, which was originally announced at San Diego Comic-Con back in 2019 with Mahershala Ali set to star. Since that announcement, Blade has gone through multiple writers and directors, was removed from Disney's release calendar, and continues to exist in a frustrating limbo. Grammy-winning artist Flying Lotus shared that he was once attached to write music for the film but noted, 'I guess we are so far from it even being a possibility now, but, yeah I was signed on to write music for the new BLADE movie before it fell through.' Actor Delroy Lindo, who had been cast in an undisclosed role, said that while his early experience was promising, 'it just went off the rails.' Add to that the recent casting of Mia Goth in a Star Wars project after reportedly being locked for Blade , and you can see why fans are skeptical the movie will ever happen. Kevin Feige remains optimistic, though. 'We love the character, we love the version that Mahershala has of him … I can say that the character will reach the MCU,' he said, though with no specific timeline in sight. Meanwhile, Midnight Sons appears to be gaining traction again. Richtman claims the project is actively moving forward, though screenwriter Michael Green is reportedly no longer attached. Marvel is now said to be searching for a new writer to take the reins. Another piece of the puzzle is Moon Knight. Marvel Studios has confirmed that Oscar Isaac's character will return in a movie, rather than in a second season of his Disney+ series. Since Moon Knight is a core member of the Midnight Sons in the comics, his return adds more weight to the possibility that Marvel is actively assembling its supernatural squad. Plus, the Disney+ series Agatha All Along introduced Jennifer Kale (played by Sasheer Zamata), a deep-cut character from Marvel Comics who happens to be a cousin to Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch, two versions of Ghost Rider. In the comics, Jennifer Kale has ties to Doctor Strange, Man-Thing, and even the Midnight Sons themselves. While nothing's confirmed, all signs point to Marvel steering its mystical universe in a fiery new direction, with Ghost Rider blazing the trail.
