Kunal Kapoor to lock horns with Yash in a grand action sequence in Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayan
Nitesh Tiwari
's epic adaptation of
Ramayan
continues to grow in scale and spectacle with each new development, and now sources reveal that actor
Kunal Kapoor
, who plays Lord Indra in the film, is set to feature in a huge action sequence opposite Yash, who portrays the mighty Raavan. The shoot for the film is already underway and
Yash
would start shooting for his portions this week.
According to sources close to the production shared with ETimes , one of the major set pieces of the film will feature a high-octane battle between Lord Indra and Raavan—an intense showdown that takes place after Raavan gains near-immortality through penance and begins his conquest of the three realms: earth, heaven, and hell. This moment in the story marks a pivotal point in Raavan's rise, where he challenges and defeats the gods themselves, including Lord Indra, in a bid to assert his dominance.
The action block is reportedly being mounted on a huge scale, with elaborate sets, VFX-heavy sequences, and extensive stunt choreography. Kunal Kapoor, known for his towering presence and powerful performances in films like Rang De Basanti and The Empire, will be seen in a rare action avatar as he takes on Yash in a fierce duel that pushes both characters to their limits.
As per mythology, during this battle, Raavan overpowers Lord Indra and is moments away from annihilating him when Lord Brahma intervenes to stop him. However, the story doesn't end there for Indra. When the final confrontation between Lord Ram and Raavan takes place, Lord Indra gets his moment of redemption. He sends down his celestial chariot to aid Lord Ram in his battle against evil, thus playing a crucial role in turning the tide.

Pankaj Tripathi opens up on shooting ‘minimal clothing' scene in public for ‘Metro… In Dino'; Insists 'it wasn't for sensationalism'
Pankaj Tripathi is known for playing bold and unique characters. But in his upcoming film 'Metro… In Dino', the actor has done something he has never tried before—he shot a scene in public wearing very little clothing. Running barefoot… almost! In the trailer of Anurag Basu 's 'Metro… In Dino', there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment where Pankaj is seen walking through a busy street in broad daylight with almost nothing on. He is only wearing socks and has a piece of cloth covering his private parts. The scene looks funny at first, but it's actually a very important moment in the film. Talking about this daring scene, Pankaj said to Hindustan Times, 'It was a great scene, shot in a real location, and I did it for the first time. I was performing in a way where the clothing was minimal, but it was necessary for the role. It wasn't for sensationalism; it was an important part of the film's story.' Shot in real location with people What makes the scene even more interesting is that it was filmed in a real location, in front of real people. To capture honest reactions from the public, the crew used hidden cameras. This helped make the scene feel natural and more realistic. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah?
