How to complete Dream On! quest in DDLV

To embark on the Dream On! quest is an important moment for Valley rulers. The mission is central to welcoming Sadness and Joy from Inside Out. It includes crafting the special Dream Production for lifting the spirits of Riley.
While the objective is quite clear, the path remains full of certain tasks that need some preparation and a keen eye. The game guide here would help you navigate through the process, ensuring the show is a success and you are able to complete DDLV quest.
Navigate Dream Productions setup, beginning Dream On! quest
The journey starts in the Mind Headquarters. After having a conversation with Joy, players will be directed to a shimmering spot on the wall. Make sure to interact with the portal and to enter the Dream Production space of Joy.
Once inside, talk to Joy and get ready to set the stage with furniture and clothing needed for the job. This is where the real magic would begin.
As part of the first task, address the main stage. Enter Furniture Mode and locate 3 specific and classy items from the cluttered pile that is on the side of the stage (left end). The items you need to find are—a fireplace, a globe and a potted tree.
The class, gold-trimmed pieces here are just non-negotiable to set the right scene.

Make sure to carefully move every single one onto the central stage. Place them wherever you see them to fit right. As the stage gets set, the attention of players must turn to themselves.

Next up, dress for the theatrical success, and a director is what's needed to look at the part. Joy will insist that you wear an outfit that matches the set design's elegance. So, opening the wardrobe, filter the clothing selections specifically for the Elegant tag.
Equip 3 items that fit the theme.
It does not matter which one you choose as long as they are able to meet the criteria. As the new dapper gets confirmed, report back to Joy. Then kick off production by having an interaction with the piano and triggering the key story cutscene.
Note:
To interact with Piano will transport you to the main Headquarters.
Gather resources for a Grand Finale
After a successful show, the focus must shift from the realm to the valley.
So, exit the realm and come back to the valley. The significant step now would be to purchase a new place and set up a Remote Headquarters. Purchase it from Scrooge McDuck. It comes for a fee of 10,000 Star Coins.
Note:
The purchased space would be home to Sadness and Joy.
As you secure the property, Joy will present you with the final task. It is about crafting a special light stick. It is not a simple craft. It requires you to gather a vibrant array of 6 specific resources coming from across the valley.
Next, you would need to collect each of the following: a common apple, a Topaz gem, a Seaweed piece, a Blue Falling Penstemon flower, an Onyx and a carrot. As these colourful components are collected, they will be safely present in your inventory. Present it to Joy.
Joy would handle Dream Production crafting on her own and would tell you to go back to the Realm to have a talk with Sadness. It will conclude the quest, give you a success with Riley spirit lifting and mark her permanent arrival within the valley. It would also set the stage for the eventual recruitment of Sadness.
Note:
Joy becomes an official villager, but do not forget to recruit Sadness.
