Fans barely recognised him as he rocked up in casual threads, sporting a fresh new look that's miles from his on-screen past.
He was the scruffy kid on the streets of Sheffield, but these days you'll find him front and centre at some of the UK's biggest music gigs and festivals.
It's Thomas Turgoose — best known for his breakout role in This Is England — who has come a long way since those gritty days on screen.
Nowadays, the actor is embracing a more laid-back, music-loving side, swapping the streets of Sheffield for the front row at some of the UK's biggest gigs.
Thomas shared just how much he enjoyed the Oasis gig — even admitting he'd blown his life savings on the tickets.
But the actor insisted it was worth it.
Joining him in the crowd was pop singer Tom Grennan, best known for his hit singles, including "Little Bit of Love" and "Remind Me."
Whether it's rocking out to Britpop legends or hanging out with the latest chart-toppers, Thomas knows how to enjoy life beyond the spotlight.
He took to Instagram to share snaps from the concert, capturing the electric atmosphere with shots of the packed crowd, the dazzling stage lights, and of course, his gig buddy Tom Grennan.
The pair looked in high spirits, grinning for the camera with pints of beer in hand, proving it was a night to remember for both music and mates.
Andrew Shim and Stephen Graham star in iconic This Is England scene as Combo and Milky
Thomas wrote: "They've done it again. And honestly that won't be the last time.
"Spending me life savings on oasis tickets and I don't give a f*** about it."
Fans can't get over how much he's changed since playing Shaun.
The youngster, who was well-known for his short locks and baby-faced looks in the blockbuster, now sports noticeably longer, blonde locks.
This Is England: Where are they now?
This Is England, set in 1983, was a huge success when released in the noughties. The film was so well-loved that it spawned three TV series, which followed the characters in the years 86, 88, and 90. But what are the cast up to now?
Thomas Turgoose (Shaun)
The baby-faced star who stole the show as Shaun has grown up into a versatile actor. Thomas reprised his role in This Is England '86, '88 and '90*, before landing parts in Outlaw, The Scouting Book for Boys and Kingsman: The Secret Service. He's also been spotted living it up at music festivals and gigs — and yes, he's still close pals with his castmates.
Vicky McClure (Lol)
From skinhead queen to one of TV's most in-demand actresses, Vicky's career rocketed after This Is England. She's now best known for playing DI Kate Fleming in Line of Duty, racking up BAFTA awards and a legion of fans. She's also fronted ITV's Trigger Point and continues to champion mental health causes.
Joe Gilgun (Woody)
The lovable, laid-back Woody is now just as beloved off-screen. Joe went on to star in Misfits, play a vampire in US hit Preacher, and create the semi-autobiographical comedy-drama Brassic, where he also takes the lead.
Stephen Graham (Combo)
Already a powerhouse actor before This Is England, Stephen cemented his reputation with his raw, emotional turn as Combo. Since then, he's starred in Boardwalk Empire, Time, Boiling Point and The Walk-In, earning critical acclaim and BAFTA nominations.
Andrew Shim (Milky)
Milky's heartbreaking storyline left fans in bits, and Andrew's kept busy with acting roles and TV appearances, as well as work behind the camera. He's also been involved in sports and charity work.
Rosamund Hanson (Smell)
From quirky style queen to serious stage and screen actress, Rosamund's worked steadily in British TV and theatre since This Is England, including roles in Fresh Meat and Doctors.
Andrew Ellis (Gadget)
The cheeky, loyal Gadget has popped up in shows like Afterlife, This England and Top Boy, and remains a familiar face in gritty dramas.
He has swapped his shaven head - seen in the first film - for a fuller head of hair, which he styles up in a swept-back quiff.
Shaun, the scrappy but lovable kid from This Is England, captured hearts with his raw honesty and street-smart attitude.
This Is England, set in 1983, was a huge success when released in the noughties - and followed Thomas' character Shaun as he earned the respect of a gang of skinheads after he stood up to them.
He was aged just 13 when he landed the role, but Thomas brought the character to life with such authenticity, making Shaun feel like one of us — a kid trying to find his place in a tough world.
This Is England wasn't just a hit — it became a cultural phenomenon, pulling in millions of viewers and earning rave reviews for its honest portrayal of youth and Britain in the '80s.
The original film scored an impressive 7.9 million viewers on its debut broadcast, while the follow-up TV series continued to captivate audiences, regularly hitting over 4 million viewers per episode.
Critics praised its gritty storytelling and powerful performances, cementing its place as one of the UK's most beloved dramas of the decade.
Thomas won the Most Promising Newcomer award at the British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs) in 2006 for his role as Shaun in This Is England.
He was also nominated for Best Actor at the British Independent Film Awards and received recognition from several critics' groups, but the BIFA win is the big one tied to his breakout performance.
Since This Is England, Thomas has kept busy, taking on a mix of film and TV roles that show off his range.
From gritty dramas like This Is England '90 and This Is England '86 to roles in Outlaw and The Journey, he's proved he's no one-hit wonder.
He has starred in a number of programmes, including The Innocence Project and Somers Town, as well as a cameo in Game of Thrones.
The talented star has acted in Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Swimming with Men, and sci-fi show Intergalactic.
He has also been a guest on BBC gameshow Pointless Celebrities and featured in The Scouting Book For Boys outside of acting.
Thomas married his long-term partner Charlotte Revell in 2019 in a picturesque New Year's Eve ceremony, with his former castmates by his side.
Jo Hartley, who played his onscreen mum Cynth, Stephen Graham, who played Combo, Andrew Shim, who starred as Milky, and Andrew Ellis, who portrayed Gadget, were also in attendance.
Away from the screen, Thomas has also become a familiar face at music festivals and live gigs.
Where will he end up next?

Beloved Aussie children's entertainer dies aged 79 as iconic song plays in background

The South Australian arts industry is in mourning following the passing of legendary actor and puppeteer Michael Scheid on August 6. The veteran entertainer died in Adelaide with his family by his side, following a long health battle. Scheid was best known as the gentle voice and puppeteer behind Bookworm, the beloved character on the long-running Channel Seven kids' TV show The Book Place, which aired from 1991 to 2003. His death was confirmed in a heartbreaking social media statement by his daughter Cathy. 'It is with a heavy heart to write that my father Michael has left this earth. At 79 years old, to the beat of "Hit the Road Jack" by Ray Charles (his request) he calmly and peacefully passed away,' she began. 'His family were by his side for every moment in his final weeks. He enjoyed a Dog Therapy visit & a private piano concert in the 24 hours prior. 'Anyone who knew dad knows he was one of a kind and never lost his childish enthusiasm. He had a huge impact on the emerging Arts and Theatre industry in South Australia and will be fondly remembered for the many characters he played.' Scheid's talents extended far beyond the puppet stage, and he was also a celebrated screen and stage actor. In the 1980s, he was a familiar sight in Adelaide's Rundle Mall, ringing in the day as the town crier. In later years, Scheid was a treasured participant in the Bay to Birdwood motoring event, piloting his signature baby blue 1956 Morris Minor classic car. A passionate performer, Scheid also graced South Australian theatre stages in numerous productions. This included the Bunyip Theatre's 1985 musical production of The Wizard of Oz, where he portrayed the Cowardly Lion. His connection with children's arts continued well into recent years, appearing alongside Bookworm to narrate performances for the Australian Classical Youth Ballet from 1998 to 2022. He also appeared in the 2003 Australian movie Travelling Light, opposite Pia Miranda and Marshall Napier. Scheid's musical collaborator Michael Mills remembered him fondly on social media. 'When that face looked at you, you got to play with the crazy, remarkable, all manner of things... it was a wonder to behold,' Mills wrote. 'There's a little less genius and heart in the world today.' Scheid's diverse career also included television appearances in the 1984 Channel Ten drama Carson's Law and regular spots with local theatre companies such as Therry Dramatic Society and Mighty Good Productions. He is survived by his daughters Alice and Cathy.

Why Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz didn't invite his brothers Romeo and Cruz to their lavish second wedding amid his family feud

Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz recently had a lavish 'second' wedding, however his parents David and Victoria were noticeably absent from the guest list. Posh and Becks weren't the only family members of Brooklyn's missing from the 200 people guest list, as his brothers Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, were also not invited. The brothers absence was reportedly down to a series of online 'trolling' from the duo, according to those close to Brooklyn and Nicola. A friend told The Mirror: 'Brooklyn's brothers have been fanning the openly made fun of and trolled Brooklyn in comments on social media.' Earlier this year, Cruz seemed to issue yet another swipe at elder brother Brooklyn after declaring the 'truth would unfold' amid the family's bitter fallout. Shortly after posting the pointed lyrics from The Beatles 1969 song, he took to social media once again to upload a video of himself playing the guitar. While the post quickly garnered more than 15,000 likes on TikTok, it also attracted a series of comments from trolls - with Cruz quick to hit back. One commented: 'Are you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?' To which Cruz - seemingly throwing shade at his brother Brooklyn's many career paths - responded: 'Wrong brother mate'. Over the years, Brooklyn has tried his hand at several different careers from modelling, to photography to becoming a chef and most recently training as a Formula E driver. It is unknown why the simple social media comments would have bothered Brooklyn to that extent. The actress has previously been accused of 'isolating' Brooklyn from not only his family, but his friends too. As well as Posh, Becks and his brothers, Brooklyn's sister Harper, his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles were also absent and only found out about the wedding vow renewal by reading it online. The Peltz's friend was responding to questions as to why it was necessary to ban the whole Beckham family from the wedding celebration on August 2. Cruz was asked: 'Are you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?' To which Cruz - seemingly throwing shade at his brother Brooklyn's many career paths - responded: 'Wrong brother mate' Over the years, Brooklyn has tried his hand at several different careers from modelling, to photography to becoming a chef and most recently training as a Formula E driver As one insider said: 'They are trying to make the best decisions for them in what are very unfortunate circumstances. Navigating family stuff is hard and it's ugly.' Astonishingly, they still claim to hope for a reconciliation, the pal added: 'The door is open. No one wants to see this kind of pain exist. There is always hope. At the end of the day. Blood is thicker than water.' Daily Mail has contacted Brooklyn, Nicola and the Beckhams' representatives for comment. Brooklyn and wife Nicola, who first wed in 2022, said 'I do' for a second time in Westchester County in front of her family who had key roles in the day, with the Beckham clan nowhere in sight. Nicola wore her 70-year-old mother's vintage 1985 bridal gown for the big day, while her father Nelson, 83, was given the key role of officiating. Brooklyn become increasingly estranged from his family since he snubbed his father's 50th birthday, and now, the family fear it's a final kick in the teeth. A source told The Sun: 'This was the final kick in the teeth for David and Victoria. Seeing Nelson having such a pivotal role at the ceremony was heartbreaking for David especially. Not one member of the 30-plus extended family knew about the wedding, or were invited. 'His grandparents are devastated too as Brooklyn has always been so close to them.' The source added: 'It feels cruel and spiteful. This is no longer a game. It has gone beyond all that. This is a family who feel they have lost their precious boy - and see no way back. 'Honestly, they are now questioning why he even wants to keep the 'Beckham' surname - will he revert to Peltz? August 2nd 2025 - is this the day Brooklyn formally declared himself no longer a part of the Beckham family? It certainly feels like it.'. As well as Posh, Becks and his brothers, Brooklyn's sister Harper, his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles were also absent and only found out about the wedding vow renewal by reading it online (family seen before feud) Daily Mail has contacted Brooklyn, Nicola and the Beckhams' representatives for comment. Brooklyn and Nicola first tied the knot in a lavish £3million ceremony in 2022, when relations first began to sour with his parents in the run-up to the big day. After shunning a dress made by her fashion designer Victoria mother-in-law in favour of a Valentino gown in 2022 - a choice which wasn't well received - Nicola once again snubbed the Spice Girl and wore her mother Claudia's vintage wedding gown. It is a poignant message to Posh and Becks', whom he and Nicola have grown increasingly estranged over recent months. All the while the Beckhams were said to be upset by the Peltz's in 2022 who they felt were taking over the wedding. And ever since their first big nuptials in April 2022, the two families have not reunited and Nicola has rarely been pictured with the Beckhams. The couple shared the images on Instagram on Monday, alongside the words 'only love.' Nicola wore the same original $1.8mill ring set adding a glinting filter onto the dazzling jewels. Brooklyn described the vow renewal as a 'really beautiful experience' while admitting he is still head-over-heels for his wife. Speaking for the first time about the day, the 26-year-old admitted he'd happily do it 'every single day' if he could. Brooklyn said the moment was all about creating a 'really cute memory' they'd treasure forever.

Andy Carroll 'DUMPS' Lou Teasdale after police questioned him over boozy rows in Greece as he unfollows her and tells pals he's 'sick' of her demands

Andy Carroll has reportedly dumped his girlfriend Lou Teasdale following a string of heated rows. It comes just two months after it was reported that the former Premier League striker, 36, was questioned twice by Greek police over a series of bust-ups with Lou, 41, while the pair holidayed in Mykonos, Greece. The pair, who were together for just over a year, have now unfollowed each other on social media and Andy has wiped all trace of Lou from his Instagram. A source told The Sun: 'Andy got sick of Lou's demands and her influencer lifestyle. 'She's always posting on social media and he hates that. He told her it was over this week. He's single now.' The father-of-five returned to the UK with Dagenham & Redbridge last month after a two-year spell in France. The insider added: 'It's been a tough time and now he's back in the UK, he just wants to focus on football and his kids. 'He hates the influencer lifestyle. He has no interest in posing for loved-up pics.' Daily Mail has approached Andy and Lou's representatives for comment. The couple's last public outing was at an Oasis gig at the end of July, where they packed on the PDA, proving they were still together. The date night came after the ex footballer was interrogated about the arguments with his make-up artist lover in a restaurant and at their hotel on the Greek party island, The Sun on Sunday reports. Speaking about the first incident, a worker at the Nikolus Tavern told the newspaper: 'He seemed very drunk and furious with his partner. 'He was using very bad words. It was improper behaviour. The woman looked very upset.' According to the restaurant worker, police arrived and took the ex-Liverpool, Newcastle United and England striker aside for a chat, before he was later allowed back to girlfriend Lou. 'Police spoke to him. He was allowed to return, and the couple left after paying for their meal. Andy was very calm when the police arrived — he stood up and spoke to them outside the restaurant', the restaurant worker added. Just hours later, cops were called again by hotel staff following reports of damage in their room. Daily Mail understands that the former England forward - once Britain's most expensive Premier League footballer when bought by Liverpool from Newcastle for £35million - was taken to the police station for questioning, but he was not arrested and no further action was taken. The incident was confirmed by a hotel employee, who claimed Carroll broke the door. That night, Lou left the hotel and spent the night at Soho Roc House. A joint statement from the couple given to The Sun said: 'Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion. It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there. 'We went outside the restaurant with them together as they insisted they wanted to 'look after' us. 'As far as we are concerned, the situation has been blown out of all proportion by an interested member of the public. No one was arrested and no one was charged with anything. We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together and we are disappointed that a private disagreement has become a public matter.' The pair began dating last year after he separated from his TOWIE star wife Billi Mucklow last September. Carroll and Mucklow called it quits divorce after two years of turbulent marriage, the footballer confirmed last year. In 2022, their wedding was almost called off when Carroll was pictured drunkenly passed out in bed with two women in Dubai on his stag do. Mucklow forgave him after one of the women insisted nothing sexual happened. Less than two years after their nuptials, the couple's marriage was over - with Carroll confirming they had started divorce proceedings after 'a hard few months for our family'. Carroll said in a statement at the time: 'Billi and I have privately separated earlier this year and we are under way with our divorce proceedings'. 'It has been a hard few months for our family and we continue to move forward amicably for our children.' Carroll and Mucklow have three children together Arlo, Wolf, and Marvel Mae and she also raises his two children Emilie Rose, 15, and Lucas, 14 from his past relationship.
