Etihad Salam Telecom Company and National Water Company seal partnership
Etihad Salam Telecom Company, a leading provider of telecommunications services in Saudi Arabia, and the National Water Company (NWC) recently formalised a partnership at LEAP 2025, paving the way for nationwide deployment of cutting-edge connectivity services and ICT solutions.
Under the agreement, Salam's will provide core business internet services, licensed infrastructure, and innovative smart solutions.
The strategic partnership will leverage Etihad Salam Telecom Company's connectivity solutions to improve operational efficiencies for more efficient water distribution and predictive maintenance, enhance cybersecurity measures and response protocols, improve customer service through AI assistants and self-service portals, and optimize resource management including water and waste systems. Both partners will build the foundation for digital transformation across the kingdom by enabling cost efficiencies and advanced smart technologies in the water management sector in line with Saudi Arabia's national vision.

Housing Minister: More than 133,000 firms in Saudi construction sector
RIYADH — Saudi Housing Minister Majid Al-Hogail said that the construction sector in Saudi Arabia has more than 133,000 establishments with over 1.6 million individuals participating daily in building a new reality: smart cities and integrated development. Saudi Arabia's NWC to award Al Majmaah Sewage Plant Expansion contract in Q2 2025
Saudi Arabia's National Water Company (NWC) is expected to award the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the expansion of the Al Majmaah Sewage Treatment Plant in in Al Majmaah in the second quarter, a source aware of the details said. The tender was issued on 19 March 2025 with bid submissions closing on 24 April 2025. The project, located in Al Majmaah Governorate, involves the expansion of an existing sewage treatment facility 'The contract is expected to be awarded in June 2025,' the source told Zawya Projects, adding that the project is scheduled to be completed by December 2027. Saudi Arabia's NWC to award Hajar Sewage Networks EPC contract in June
Saudi Arabia's National Water Company (NWC) is expected to award the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the first phase of Hajar Sewage Networks Project in Al-Ahsa Governorate in the second quarter of 2025, according to a source. The tender was issued on 20 March 2025, with bids submitted by 13 April 2025. 'The EPC contract is expected to be awarded in June 2025,' the source said, adding that project is scheduled to be delivered in 36 months from the award date. The scope of the project includes the implementation of sewage networks for the Hajar suburb, along with associated earthworks, roof restoration, and utility works.
