'I really appreciate her, because she understands — and I think it's really hard for you to have someone in your life who actually fucks with you and who's known you for a long time who also understand the world that you're in,' Lizzo told Billboard. 'I think that's what I cherish the most about her. She gets me.'
This is the second time Lizzo joins SZA on her co-headlining world tour with Kendrick Lamar. During the first stop of the shows in Los Angeles last month, the pair of stars performed 'Special.' At the time, Lizzo wrote on Instagram: 'BABYS FIRST STADIUM PERFORMANCE — I love u @sza u r THEE DIVA!'
SZA and Lamar are set to perform in Cardiff, London, Lisbon, and Barcelona through the end of July before wrapping the European run of the tour in Stockholm on Aug. 9. SZA has also surprised fans by bringing out Kaytranada, Justin Bieber, and Doja Cat for surprise performances.

Indy spills on writing her song 'Idol' about her sister Lorde

Indy's new EP 'Fame Is A Bedroom' is out now. Video transcript Well, the process was that I really felt it was time to talk about something so personal to me. Like, my sister's my best mate, you know, I, I really did grow up in such a public way. And I think that, um, you know, you, you turn 25, you turn 26, you come out of a very formative relationship and then you kind of figure out your identity. And I think that, um, it just, when they say it came to me, it really did in a way. Like, I remember writing it. It took a little while to write and I was sitting on the floor, um, with a piano, like keyboard with, uh, my mate who's a producer, and we just kind of scratched away at it till I got it. Um, but sometimes it's like the, we always say in the studio that it's like the creativity isn't really up to you. You have to do what the song wants. So, I don't know, I just honestly, I truthfully, I wrote that song for me. I didn't really write it for anyone else. I wrote it for myself and like to put everything I wanted to say about that topic in a song and then move forward. I saw your post about Virgin, which I, honestly, but your sister saying that you are one of the best listeners. What was her reaction when she heard that song in particular? Well, um, she showed me Shapeshifter, and then I showed her Idol, and I was like, girl, I can't go after this. This is like insane too. But, um, she really liked it, you know, like we're, we're 2 years apart, we're really similar, we're really close. Um, I knew that our relationship was really steadfast when, like, I got a little bit older and she started calling me to ask about my opinion, you know, that's a really big deal to me. Um, you know, she really liked it. I didn't, I've only played it to her once. I won't send it to her, I'm just like. I want it to be perfect. Um, but yeah, she, she gave me a hug afterwards and she loved it. But, um, I don't know. I mean, ultimately, it's, I'm realizing that partly it's also my story to tell too. And so I feel that she just wants me to be my creative self.
