A tea-ry gesture: Musgrove Park Hospital cleaner Sue Lee was surprised by her colleagues with a tea party this week, as she celebrated 35 years working in the NHS. "It brought tears to my eyes that my fellow colleagues took time to arrange it, and celebrate my milestone with me," she said.
Love is owl you need: Conservationists are celebrating after barn owls Finn and Trude returned to their nest box on the Blackdown Hills for a third year this week. Twit-twooo!
Art attack: One talented eight-year-old is preparing for his first exhibition after a gallery spotted his paintings online. This is an original by Kevin Kovacs, from Wellington, who will have his work showcased at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre in Taunton from next week. Incredible!
Ahoy for now: "Amazing role models" Simon Perks and Geoff Vian are taking a step back from their voluntary work at the RNLI Portishead after 10 years. They were awarded certificates in a ceremony at the lifeboat station this week.
Hard at work: Council contractors were out on Yeovil's High Street this week, repairing damage to the pavement caused during utilities work last summer. Somerset Council said the cost of the work would be covered by energy company SSE.

Robert loses everything in Emmerdale - but a twist follows
John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth)'s campaign against his brother and love-rival Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) reaches a critical point in upcoming Emmerdale episodes as he seeks to turn everyone in the village against Robert. Robert is, of course, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller)'s first husband and many fans would say he will always be Aaron's true love. 'Robron,' as the couple were affectionately known to fans, were torn apart in 2019 when Robert was sent to prison for the manslaughter of the man who raped his sister Victoria (Isabel Hodgins). In a surprise twist he reappeared in the village on a particularly auspicious day – the day Aaron was about to marry John – who happens to be half-brother to Robert and Victoria. Reunited, it was obvious there was still huge chemistry between Robert and Aaron and they kissed. Ultimately Aaron chose John, and went through with the wedding. It does seem that there's unfinished business between Robert and Aaron, though, and this infuriates John. Since then, he's taken every opportunity to try to goad Robert, even getting his rival worked up to such a pitch that he smacked John over the head with a wrench – an incident that John has footage of. In recent episodes John managed to wind Robert up by poisoning the mind of his nephew Harry against Uncle Robert. When Robert lost his temper at Harry's drumming while he was looking after him, Harry was left terrified. And John was on hand to look like the good guy and be a reassuring person for Harry to cling to. Adding a bit more fuel to the fire, John exaggerates what happened when he tells Victoria about the incident. This is the last straw as far as she's concerned and she's finally had enough of Robert. John's next move is to make sure Robert is fully aware of how upset Victoria is. He gloats that Robert has lost both Victoria and Aaron. This leaves Robert in absolute despair. At his lowest point, he smashes up his room. This commotion is overheard by Aaron, who stops Robert's rampage and calms him down. Robert tells him he knows he's messed up and he's lost everything, including Aaron. He's surprised by Aaron's response. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? He says the reason he's been keeping away is that he's feeling conflicted himself. Although he's with John, he has feelings for Robert that won't go away so his only option has been to avoid him. Brody receives help from unexpected resident in new Corrie crime story
Earlier this year Coronation Street fans were introduced to Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey). We first saw him at the STC where Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) was in custody. He very quickly made Dylan's life a misery, bullying him and manipulating his dad Sean (Antony Cotton). After his release from the STC we discovered Brody had strong connections to Coronation Street. His parents Mick and Lou Michaelis (Joe Layton and Farrel Hegarty) were busy causing chaos among the neighbours, and a flashback episode revealed that the pair of them had been friends with DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) in their youth. When Kit let Mick take the fall for a crime they committed and Mick went to prison, Kit and Lou had a relationship – the result of which was Brody. Mick and Lou are currently in prison after Mick went on a violent rampage and ended up killing PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith). He's unlikely to be released any time soon as he also managed to break out of prison and came back to the Street in an attempt to go on the run with his family. Lou was sent to prison for assaulting Gary Windass (Mikey North). As soon as Brody's feet hit the cobbles he was up to criminal business, including shoplifting from the corner shop. Crime is really all he's known growing up with Mick and Lou. At heart, we've seen that Brody isn't a bad person. He genuinely wants the best for his sisters and to take care of them, and in his conversations with Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) especially there are signs that he could be ready to change his life around. Kit has tried to get to know him, though his attempts have been a bit ham-fisted, like when he and Sarah (Tina O'Brien) took Brody to Speed Daal for the world's most cringeworthy bonding session. Tim (Joe Duttine) and Sally (Sally Dynevor) have also offered Brody as much support as they can, as they continue to look after his sisters. And Bernie would like nothing more than a close relationship with her grandson. Vicky Pattison reveals painful injuries after Strictly rehearsals
Vicky Pattison has shared a glimpse of the painful injuries she has obtained while undergoing training for Strictly Come Dancing. The Geordie Shore star, 37, was the eleventh contestant to be announced, joining EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal, Doctor Who's Alex Kingston and model Ellie Goldstein on the all-star line-up. With her first day of training having already commenced, Vicky likened the experience so far to being 'hit by a car,' before sharing a snap of her bashed-up feet. In a Before vs After picture post to her Instagram account, Vicky wrote: 'Our first @bbcstrictly rehearsal… The start of the day versus… the end 😂🤦🏻♀️💃🏼🪩' The first of two pictures depicted a cheerful Vicky beaming from inside a car, ready to begin her day.
