Brody receives help from unexpected resident in new Corrie crime story
After his release from the STC we discovered Brody had strong connections to Coronation Street. His parents Mick and Lou Michaelis (Joe Layton and Farrel Hegarty) were busy causing chaos among the neighbours, and a flashback episode revealed that the pair of them had been friends with DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) in their youth.
When Kit let Mick take the fall for a crime they committed and Mick went to prison, Kit and Lou had a relationship – the result of which was Brody.
Mick and Lou are currently in prison after Mick went on a violent rampage and ended up killing PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith).
He's unlikely to be released any time soon as he also managed to break out of prison and came back to the Street in an attempt to go on the run with his family. Lou was sent to prison for assaulting Gary Windass (Mikey North).
As soon as Brody's feet hit the cobbles he was up to criminal business, including shoplifting from the corner shop. Crime is really all he's known growing up with Mick and Lou.
At heart, we've seen that Brody isn't a bad person. He genuinely wants the best for his sisters and to take care of them, and in his conversations with Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) especially there are signs that he could be ready to change his life around.
Kit has tried to get to know him, though his attempts have been a bit ham-fisted, like when he and Sarah (Tina O'Brien) took Brody to Speed Daal for the world's most cringeworthy bonding session.
Tim (Joe Duttine) and Sally (Sally Dynevor) have also offered Brody as much support as they can, as they continue to look after his sisters. And Bernie would like nothing more than a close relationship with her grandson. More Trending
So Brody isn't short of potential mentors, but in upcoming episodes he's offered mentorship of a somewhat different kind.

He's recently started work in Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell)'s garage, which for a character like Brody is providing him with a wide range of temptations. Carl (Jonathan Howard) walks in one day to find Brody preparing to steal an expensive car.
Carl warns him that his actions will mean he'll be soon back inside the STC. Then he makes him an offer. If he wants to find out an easier way to steal cars, he should come back and see him.

As well as doing dodgy MOT's, Carl has also been working with a character called Fiona to steal cars, using Kevin's garage as a front for these activities. Is he going to lead Brody down a murky criminal path?

EastEnders star Michelle Ryan shares glam Zoe Slater transformation pics amid her return to the BBC soap
EastEnders star Michelle Ryan has shared before and after glam transformation snaps amid her return to the BBC soap. The actress, 41, briefly reprised her role as Zoe Slater back in June after 20 years away from Albert Square. Michelle is set to make a full time return as Zoe this summer where she'll come face-to-face with her estranged mother Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) in explosive scenes. And amid filming for her scenes, Michelle gave fans a glimpse into how she gets into character as Zoe as she snapped selfies in the make-up chair. The soap star initially showed off a bare-faced look without a scrap of make-up, before a follow-up picture showed her with eye-liner and sleeker hair. Subsequent images followed showing Michelle looking glam with a sweep of bold red lipstick, while her raven locks were styled in glam waves. Set to Modjo's 2001 track Lady (Hear Me Tonight), Michelle captioned her post writing: 'Make up transformation today in the chair. Grateful to costume and make up for helping me find the role of Zoe again over the past couple of months. 'When I first played Zoe early 2000's this song was a huge hit and played all the time.' It comes after Jessie revealed she 'burst out crying' after reuniting with her on screen daughter Michelle amid her return to the soap. During her time on the show, Michelle was involved in one of the soap's biggest storylines when it was revealed that Kat Slater (Jessie) was in fact Zoe's mother and not her sister, with explosive scenes seeing her yell: 'You ain't my mother!', only for Kat to reply: 'Yes I am!' And now, after returning to Albert Square two decades after her dramatic exit, Jessie, 53, revealed she was overcome with emotion at the news. Speaking in an interview with the Radio Times she confessed that they reunited at a secret dinner date with the executive producers. 'I burst out I saw Michelle, I cried – we were all very emotional. It was nostalgic and lovely.' While it isn't uncommon for roles to be recast in the soap world, Jessie was also determined that if Zoe returned it could only be Michelle. Michelle captioned her post writing: 'Make up transformation today in the chair. Grateful to costume and make up for helping me find the role of Zoe again over the past couple of months' 'I said to Ben [executive producer], "It has to be Michelle. It won't feel right if Zoe is recast." I wouldn't be able to give my best performance. The audience would feel completely conned.' She added: 'I love Michelle and have always been protective over her, perhaps that's natural having played her mum. I'm a mother myself now, which I wasn't when we worked together before, and I'm very protective over my daughter.' Michelle had been asked to return to the soap before but had always declined. However this time she felt the time was right after she was moved after seeing the comments on social media following EastEnders' 40th anniversary. After reminiscing on her time on the soap with colleagues she mentioned to her agent that she would go back and as coincidence would have it EastEnders had already been on the phone. Back in June Zoe made a bombshell return to the BBC soap, after her return was kept under wraps. Viewers then saw Zoe in two further episodes that week but she will now be back full-time this summer. Speaking previously on her return to the BBC soap, Michelle said: 'It feels like coming home. After doing my first few scenes, it was like I'd never been away. It all happened at the right time. 'I'd already been thinking about a return because I'd met up with Kacey Ainsworth (Little Mo) and Kim Medcalf (Sam Mitchell) and we were reminiscing our fond memories of the show, and I'd also joined social media and saw that there was still a lot of love for the character. 'It just so happened that at the same time, EastEnders had announced a new Exec who was keen to explore the potential of a return as he was such a massive fan of Zoe and the Slaters, so both of our worlds aligned at the right time, and I'm so excited to be back.

Winner of the Richard Madeley lookalikey 2026 revealed- can you tell?
Will the real Richard Madeley please stand up? We've seen a hundred Timothee Chalamets in New York, we've had TV bad boy Danny Dyer in Soho Square, now it is the turn of Middle England hearthrob Richard Madeley to have his lookalike competition in the outskirts of Stockport. Hundreds queued around the block to watch the attempted reincarnations of the Good Morning Britain iconoclast compete at the highest level and maybe confuse poor Judy at Alexandra Park in Edgeley on Sunday. It started as a joke when a single poster offering themed prizes for the top three Good Morning Britain impersonators was stuck up in the suburbs of Stockport. But it became reality when locals expressed so much interest the organiser, Mrs Jones' realised she would have to go through with it. One entrant said: 'It was a laugh. The first prize was a giant inflatable champagne bottle, second prize was a selection of Richard & Judy books. But I don't think anyone was in it for the winnings.' After hours of deliberation, the winner was finally declared – congratulations Larry, a pug in an unmistakably wavy Richard wig. Another entrant said on Reddit: 'I didn't even place. ITV Granada interviewed me though and I simply said the pug had more game than me.' They added: 'To all the people saying this should be an annual event, it's happening next summer as well. I believe the names thrown about were Deirdre Barlow or Luke Littler.' The real Richard Madeley reportedly faced the axe from Good Morning as ITV issued sweeping changes to its daytime programming. The 69-year-old host has been a staple of the morning news show since 2017 alongside co-host Susanna Reid and was said to be receiving a lucrative £300k salary for the gig before this 'bloodbath'. On ITV Richard shared a candid insight into his 35-year marriage with fellow TV icon Judy. Recounting moments of strain in his relationship, he said: 'Well, I mean, sometimes, you'd have a row. And you'd get to work not talking. But the show was a cure.' 'I mean, it wasn't, like, false, you actually did genuinely have to come on and do the double act. You would find that within maybe 15, 20 minutes of going on air.' 'You'd just forgotten all about it because you were both focusing on the job. And so it was a very good way of processing a row.' David Haye to face awkward 'grilling' as I'm A Celeb bosses line him up for All Stars spin off
ITV bosses have reportedly offered boxing champ David Haye a spot on the next season of I'm A Celeb's All Stars spin off - with one major topic expected to be discussed around the campfire I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! is planning to add boxing champ David Haye to their knockout line-up of the next All Stars spin-off season. The former heavyweight champ, 44, first appeared on the long-running ITV reality show's twelfth season back in 2012. And he may be returning to the jungle as one of the All Star contestants for the spin-off series that sees past participants return for another round of stomach churning trials. The first season of the All Stars version, titled I'm a Celebrity... South Africa, aired in 2023 with Myleene Klass being crowned winner. And now a string of popular former contestants are being lined up for a second trip to the outback - with David among the top names wanted to take part in the series. He came third when he participated in the series the last time behind winner Charlie Brooks, of EastEnders fame, and Pussycat Dolls runner-up Ashley Roberts. Since then, David's foray into the world of media stardom has seen him appear in shows including The Big Narstie Show and his own David Haye versus series, which saw him interview and train with major celebrities. A source told The Sun: 'David was delighted to get the call from ITV. As viewers know, no chats are off-limits around the campfire, so they can expect to see David grilled over his quirky relationships.' The Mirror has contacted representatives of David and ITV for comment. It is expected that the new season of the ITV show will begin filming in the autumn months when a string of other former contestants will return to the wilderness to survive on basic rations. Football icon Harry Redknapp, 78, who won in 2018, and Gemma Collins, 44, who quit the show after three days in 2014, are among names linked to the new season. A number of familiar faces are expected to jet to Australia in November to film the next season of the main I'm A Celeb series. It will be the 25th outing of the show - which first aired way back in 2002. Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will travel Down Under to preside over all the terrifying trials and encourage the celebs to eat revolting meals and drinks. The 2024 season of the show was won by McFly singer Danny Jones. But the 39-year-old singer has had a difficult few months since he was crowned the king of the jungle. He was shamed in March when video footage emerged of him locking lips with fellow I'm A Celeb 2024 contestant Maura Higgins, of Love Island fame. The footage sparked shock among his fans - who have championed his marriage to beauty contestant Georgia Horsley - a former Miss England winner. The couple have been an item since 2009 and they have been married since 2014. They also welcomed a son named Cooper who was born in 2018. Danny offered a groveling apology to his wife which he issued via social media soon after his extramarital kiss went viral. In a statement, the McFly singer said: "Hello everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately. "I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny." Meanwhile, a source close to Danny revealed at the time that he was "mortified" by what happened as well as the "awful situation he has put everyone in".
