Israel Pursues 'Hind Rajab' Foundation for Exposing its Atrocities

DaysofPal- In a new development that highlights the growing anxiety within the Israeli occupation over international legal accountability, the Hind Rajab Human Rights Foundation has become the target of a direct campaign led by the Israeli government.
This follows the foundation's success in filing criminal cases against Israeli soldiers and officers accused of committing war crimes against Palestinian civilians, especially in the Gaza Strip.
This escalation comes amid mounting international pressure on Israel and an increase in legal proceedings in global courts, as the foundation works to present evidence indicting Israeli military leaders and officials for crimes of genocide and crimes against humanity.
The foundation was named after the child Hind Rajab, who was martyred along with six members of her family in a massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces on January 29, 2024, when their car was bombed in southwest Gaza City. This atrocity was one of thousands of massacres that have led to the deaths of over 57,000 Palestinians during Israel's recent aggression on Gaza.
According to official sources within the foundation, the Israeli government issued a sanctions list targeting fifty prominent individuals affiliated with the Hind Rajab Foundation, including its president Diab Abu Jahjah, two of its co-founders, and three senior lawyers.
These sanctions aim to pressure the foundation into halting its legal activities by freezing assets, imposing travel bans, and tightening restrictions on activists and legal professionals working with the organization.
In a statement, the foundation said that Israeli actions demonstrate its deep concern over the legal cases being prepared, adding that a coordinated media campaign is being planned to discredit the foundation and sow doubt about its credibility, particularly within certain Western circles.
Founded in February 2024 and based in Brussels, the Hind Rajab Foundation is one of the leading legal organizations working to collect evidence and file formal complaints against Israeli soldiers and officers in international courts. It accuses them of committing war crimes, genocide, and destruction of Palestinian infrastructure, particularly in Gaza.
In November 2024, the foundation submitted an official document to the International Criminal Court (ICC) requesting arrest warrants for 1,000 Israeli soldiers and officers, based on over 8,000 pieces of evidence documenting crimes committed since the start of the war on Gaza.
The foundation has also pursued Israeli soldiers during their stays in countries such as the Netherlands, the UAE, Brazil, and Sri Lanka, forcing Israel to secretly evacuate one soldier from Sri Lanka back to the occupied territories in December 2024 after a case was filed against him for killing and participating in systematic bombardments.
Ziad Al-Aloul, a member of the International Committee to Break the Siege on Gaza, said that Israel's attempts to classify the foundation as a 'terrorist organization' have no legal standing, affirming that the foundation operates within European legal frameworks and enjoys official support from several European nations.
Al-Aloul described the Hind Rajab Foundation as a strategic threat to Israel, noting that a file containing the names of 1,000 military officials represents a direct threat to their freedom of movement, limiting their ability to travel or take part in international events.
He also revealed that Israel has allocated a special budget to target the foundation and its staff, in a move reminiscent of the U.S. campaign against ICC employees.
Despite threats and sanctions, the Hind Rajab Foundation has affirmed its unwavering commitment to pursuing justice and exposing Israeli war crimes. The foundation emphasized that its strong popular and legal support in Europe and around the world is too vast for any entity to silence it.

UN: Destruction in Gaza is an Unprecedented Modern-Day Catastrophe

DaysofPal—United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has described the scale of destruction and loss of life in Gaza as a catastrophe with 'no parallel in modern times,' renewing his urgent call for an immediate ceasefire. He warned that the humanitarian crisis has reached horrifying dimensions, with Gaza facing what he called a 'humanitarian hell.' In his latest remarks, Guterres emphasized that the ongoing military operations, combined with the suffocating blockade, have devastated the Gaza Strip. He painted a grim picture of daily life for Palestinians, marked by the collapse of essential services and severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine. Fuel, he said, is nearly depleted, which has led to the shutdown of many hospitals and water desalination plants. As a result, residents are being forced to depend on makeshift and often unsafe water distribution points. Guterres added that 'The search for food and water should not be a death sentence,' referring to the alarming rise in the number of civilians being killed as they attempt to reach aid distribution sites. In a rare and direct criticism, he stated that the current aid system, including the one backed by the United States, is contributing to civilian deaths and urgently needs to be restructured to ensure safe and effective delivery of relief supplies. Guterres stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire, arguing that it is the only way to prevent further loss of civilian life. He called on the international community to act without delay to open humanitarian corridors that are safe, unconditional, and sustainable. He also demanded independent investigations into the attacks targeting civilians and distribution points. Guterres reiterated the importance of full compliance with international humanitarian law, particularly in protecting children and civilian infrastructure. Concluding his statement, Guterres said the situation in Gaza exceeds even the worst humanitarian disasters the world has seen in recent years. 'There is no place in the world experiencing such destruction and suffering,' he warned. Shortlink for this post:

Israeli Strike Massacres Family in Shati Refugee Camp

DaysofPal – The Israeli occupation forces continued their relentless assault on the Gaza Strip today, launching strikes on civilian homes, shelters for displaced families, and key urban areas across the devastated enclave. The renewed bombardment left multiple civilians dead and injured, including children, and fueled growing panic among residents and medical personnel. In one of the deadliest incidents of the day, an Israeli airstrike targeted the home of the Nassar family near Martyrs' Square in the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City. According to Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics, five people were killed and others injured in the attack, while several remain trapped under the rubble. Victims were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital as search efforts continued under increasingly dangerous conditions. In the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, close to Al-Quds Hospital, Israeli warplanes bombed Al-Awda Tower (2) after a previous threat. Patients, medical personnel, and displaced people taking refuge nearby were all terrified by the strike; many had fled previous strikes only to find themselves in danger again. In the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, a group of tents housing displaced families was the target of another deadly attack. Several civilians, including children, were reportedly killed or injured in the bombing, which targeted a site where dozens of families had taken refuge. In the southern Gaza Strip, the devastation continued. A source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis confirmed that 10 people, most of them children, were killed in an Israeli strike that hit a tent encampment for displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area. On Monday alone, at least 62 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids across the Strip. The occupation forces reportedly targeted tents sheltering displaced people, gatherings of civilians, a water distribution vehicle, and groups of people waiting in line to receive so-called 'aid' under U.S. and Israeli supervision. One particularly devastating strike killed six members of the same family, a father, mother, and their four children, when their tent near the Palestine Mosque in western Gaza City was directly hit. More than 30 others were injured in the same attack. The source noted that many of the injured were in critical condition, warning of a likely rise in the death toll. Since the Israeli genocide began on October 7, 2023, the number of Palestinians killed has increased to 58,386, the great majority of whom were women and children, and 139,077 have been injured. Over 700 Killed in Gaza Water Strikes

DaysofPal – The Government Media Office in Gaza has confirmed that Israel is waging a deliberate and systematic war on water access, as more than 700 Palestinians—most of them children—have been killed in 112 attacks targeting water collection points across the Gaza Strip. In a statement issued Monday, the office said the Israeli military struck civilians as they waited in line to fill containers with drinking water. The latest of these attacks occurred Sunday morning in the New Camp area northwest of Nuseirat, where 12 people, including 8 children, were killed. Beyond the strikes, the destruction has been infrastructure-wide. The office reported that 720 water wells have been intentionally destroyed, cutting clean water access for over 1.25 million people. Fuel restrictions have further paralyzed water and sanitation systems. Israel continues to block the entry of 12 million liters of fuel per month, the minimum needed to operate water pumps, sewage networks, and waste collection services. Since January 23, Israel has also cut off the last remaining supply of piped water from the Israeli company Mekorot. Then in March, it struck the final power line feeding Gaza's main desalination plant in Deir al-Balah, halting large-scale water production. The statement described these actions as part of a 'methodical and premeditated thirst war' against Gaza's population, and a grave violation of international humanitarian law. In addition, the office held Israel and its backers responsible for what it called 'one of the most dangerous humanitarian crimes of the modern age.' It urged international legal and humanitarian bodies to intervene immediately, restore fuel and water access, and launch an investigation into the deliberate targeting of Gaza's water systems.
