Israeli Strike Massacres Family in Shati Refugee Camp

DaysofPal – The Israeli occupation forces continued their relentless assault on the Gaza Strip today, launching strikes on civilian homes, shelters for displaced families, and key urban areas across the devastated enclave. The renewed bombardment left multiple civilians dead and injured, including children, and fueled growing panic among residents and medical personnel.
In one of the deadliest incidents of the day, an Israeli airstrike targeted the home of the Nassar family near Martyrs' Square in the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City.
According to Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics, five people were killed and others injured in the attack, while several remain trapped under the rubble. Victims were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital as search efforts continued under increasingly dangerous conditions.
In the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, close to Al-Quds Hospital, Israeli warplanes bombed Al-Awda Tower (2) after a previous threat. Patients, medical personnel, and displaced people taking refuge nearby were all terrified by the strike; many had fled previous strikes only to find themselves in danger again.
In the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, a group of tents housing displaced families was the target of another deadly attack. Several civilians, including children, were reportedly killed or injured in the bombing, which targeted a site where dozens of families had taken refuge.
In the southern Gaza Strip, the devastation continued. A source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis confirmed that 10 people, most of them children, were killed in an Israeli strike that hit a tent encampment for displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area.
On Monday alone, at least 62 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids across the Strip. The occupation forces reportedly targeted tents sheltering displaced people, gatherings of civilians, a water distribution vehicle, and groups of people waiting in line to receive so-called 'aid' under U.S. and Israeli supervision.
One particularly devastating strike killed six members of the same family, a father, mother, and their four children, when their tent near the Palestine Mosque in western Gaza City was directly hit. More than 30 others were injured in the same attack.
The source noted that many of the injured were in critical condition, warning of a likely rise in the death toll. Since the Israeli genocide began on October 7, 2023, the number of Palestinians killed has increased to 58,386, the great majority of whom were women and children, and 139,077 have been injured.
