Fate of tigers homed at Inland Empire sanctuary unclear after eviction
The fate of four bengal tigers who live at the Diamond Valley Lodge near Hemet is up in the air, after a legal dispute led to the owner's eviction last week.
The property is now gated up, meaning no one is there except for the big cats.
"Very, very inhumane," said Mario Felix. "You have to observe them, you can't just leave them. All animals need observation."
He's one of many neighbors in the area who are upset by the sudden eviction of the tenants.
"That's just really sad, it breaks my heart," said Bobbee McGuire. "I just don't understand how people could do something horrible like that. ... They're endangering these animals, and they're endangering the health, safety and welfare of the public as well."

Rob Curtis owns the tigers and has rented the property for the the last five. However, in recent months he's been involved in a number of legal battles over the site, including over permitting and the sale, which he wanted to purchase outright.
It all came to a head last week when Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputies evicted him and his staff from the property, forcing him to leave his tigers behind.
"They wanted us to pay $3 million for the property. We came up with the $3 million, we offered to pay it to them and they waited until the very last minute and said, 'We're not taking the offer and we want the tigers out tomorrow," he said. "So, they caused this dilemma, they're not victims by any stretch."
An attorney for the company that owns the land, Diamond Valley Golf Club LLC., says that they were willing to sell but that Curtis did not present the funds in time. They say that he had months of notice that the eviction was going to happen.
"The tigers' health and welfare is our number one concern here," said a statement from the company. "On a daily basis we have allowed access for their feeding and care and will continue to do so."
Curtis says that although he's been able to get in every day since their eviction, the amount of time inside is limited and not consistent. In turn, he says he's waiting outside of the gate to be allowed in, often in the heat.
"We can't put the misters on for them, hose them off, do those things we normally do," Curtis said.
The sanctuary is asking for an emergency hearing from a judge in order to get access to the property. They're also working to remove the tigers by the end of the week to another sanctuary out of the state.

US agents, protesters clash again in Los Angeles over immigration raids
Federal agents clashed with angry protestors in the Los Angeles area for a second day Saturday, shooting flash-bang grenades into the crowd and shutting part of a freeway amid raids on undocumented migrants, reports said. The standoff took place in the suburb of Paramount, where demonstrators had gathered near a Home Depot that was being used as a staging area by federal immigration officials, the Fox 11 news outlet reported. They were met by federal agents in riot gear and gas masks, who lobbed flash-bang grenades and tear gas at the crowd, according to news reports and social media posts. The immigration raids are part of US President Donald Trump's ongoing crackdown on undocumented immigrants. The Republican was elected to a second term largely on a promise to crack down hard on the entry and presence of undocumented migrants -- who he likened to "monsters" and "animals." Following the latest clashes in Los Angeles, authorities vowed to prosecute offenders and warned of an escalating security presence. "We are making Los Angeles safer. Jared Leto accused of ‘sexual impropriety' by multiple women, some who say they were underage
Jared Leto is denying allegations of years-long 'sexual impropriety' brought forth by multiple women, including DJ and music producer Allie Teilz, who recently resurfaced her more than decade-old claims against the actor. In an Air Mail exposé published on Saturday, nine accusers shared their stories of Leto's alleged misconduct with younger women, some who claim they were underage. 'It's been an open secret for a long time,' one anonymous woman told the outlet. Model Laura La Rue said she met Leto in 2008, when she was 16 and he was 36. Despite her being underage, which La Rue claims Leto knew, he asked her for number and things quickly took a sexual turn, she said. She described one incident while she visiting him when she was 17, alleging Leto 'just walked out, d– out, like it was normal.' A representative for Leto denied that allegation, saying their interactions involved 'nothing sexual or inappropriate.' They further claimed that La Rue 'later applied to work as Mr. Leto's personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate.' Another accuser similarly recalled meeting Leto while underage. She described a time, after she'd turned 18, when they were at Leo's house and he 'suddenly pulled his penis out and started masturbating … grabbed my hand, and put it on him.' The exposé, titled 'The Cult of Leto,' is filled with similar accusations against the 53-year-ol. The women accuse him of preying on cute, young girls, several of whom they say were recruited to attend his parties in the mid-2000s. A representative for the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman 'expressly denied' all the allegations in the story. The exposé comes less than two months after a viral Instagram story from Teilz, who reupped a 2012 claim that she was 'assaulted and traumatized' by Leto when she was 17. 'He knew my age and didn't care. What he did was predatory, terrifying and unacceptable,' she said. She then received dozens of replies from women who shared their own experiences with the actor — some claiming he was inappropriate with them when they were as young as 14.
